Abstract

Central Sulawesi has been known as one of the disaster-prone areas, especially after the 2018 disaster which resulted in liquefaction, tsunamis and earthquakes occurring simultaneously. This large-scale natural disaster caused both physical and non-physical losses, until finally the government made every effort to ensure conditions returned to normal. The government's efforts to improve infrastructure and public facilities have been realized, including improving the economic sector and providing permanent housing for disaster survivors. However, on the other hand, post-disaster causes poverty and unemployment, especially in Palu City. Even though the open unemployment rate has currently decreased from 16,960 people (2020) to 15,302 people (2021), the number of poor people in the same year has increased to reach 28,600 people compared to 26,890 people in 2020. On this basis, the post-disaster recovery process must be carried out intensively, involving various stakeholders. The aim of this research is to find out what role stakeholders play during post-disaster recovery, especially in overcoming poverty and unemployment levels in the city of Palu. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews and documentation. Interviews were aimed at stakeholders or related agencies, including the Regional Poverty Alleviation Coordination Team (Tim Koordinasi Pengentasan Kemiskinan Daerah-TKPKD) for provinces and districts/cities throughout Central Sulawesi, P5TK for the Manpower and Transmigration Service, the Training Development Division for the Expansion of Placement and Productivity of Nakertrans Workers, as well as communities affected by the disaster. Documentation was carried out by obtaining data from journals, news and BPS reports for the city of Palu in figures for 2022. This research was carried out within one year and used quantitative descriptive methods.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze and understand the impact of Economic and Spatial Regional Integration on Regional Development in North Tapanuli Regency. The data collection technique involved indirect observation, which included reading, collecting, and noting data, information, and their descriptions. The type of data used in this research was quantitative data in the form of secondary time series data. The data included Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data, geographic data, population figures, distances between regions, regional potential, and other data, sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Sumatra Province, BPS and Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of North Tapanuli Regency, as well as online sources. The results of the analysis depict substantial GRDP growth and growth rates in both sub-districts: Siborong borong Sub-district with an index value of 184,495,189 and Simangumban Sub-district with an index value of 19,632,902. The analysis also demonstrated consistent and integrated growth across each sub-district and the regency in North Tapanuli. The Gravity Model revealed that North Tapanuli Regency had a strong attraction to its supporting areas, influenced by distance and interactions. The Williamson Index measures income inequality between regions, with results nearing 0, indicating economic equalization between the growth center and its supporting areas. In regional development, the role of North Tapanuli Regency as a growth center contributes to driving economic growth and the welfare of the surrounding communities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of work motivation and work discipline on work productivity partially and simultaneously. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with multiple regression analysis. The population in this study was 178 respondents with a sample of 119 respondents. The location of this research was carried out at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Manado State University. Before the test was carried out, validity and reliability tests were carried out on 30 respondents and the results showed that all instruments were valid and reliable. The classical assumption test shows that everything meets the classical assumption requirements so that hypothesis testing can be carried out. Based on the hypothesis test, it was found that the Work Motivation variable (X1) with a value of tcount > ttable (6.029 < 1.658) with a positive value. So, there is a positive influence between variable X1 on Y, or in other words Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. A significant value of 0.000<0.05 indicates that the influence value is significant. So overall the work motivation variable has a positive and significant effect on employee work productivity at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNIMA. The research results show that the work discipline variable (X2) has a value of tcount > ttable (10.039 > 1.659) with a positive value. So, there is a positive influence between variable X1 on Y, or in other words Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected so that. A significant value of 0.000<0.05 indicates that the influence value is significant. So overall the work discipline variable has a positive and significant effect on employee work productivity at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNIMA. The research results show that the value is significant at 0.0000 (sig 0.00000 < 0.05). This means showing that the regression equation obtained is reliable or that the model used is fixed. So, there is a joint or simultaneous influence between the Work Motivation and Work Discipline variables on the Work Productivity variable of employees at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNIMA

Abstract

The objective of this research is creating innovative teaching materials, the Wipe and Clean Workbook, which has been infused with Madurese culture. This product is a reusable workbook that allows elementary school students to reinforce English skills contextually and reuse the product to minimize paper consumption. The need to give young students contextual language learning experiences and to inculcate a sense of environmental responsibility is growing as the globe faces environmental concerns. Most researches in the field of language learning and environmental education tend to focus on these aspects separately, neglecting the potential synergies that can be achieved by combining them. This research is development research using 4D development model which has 4 stages, they are Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. Based on the percentage validation results, product developed obtains a valid category. In addition, based on the results of student questionnaire with an interpretation of score based on the Linkert scale as a whole, a percentage value of 85% is obtained in the very good category. In conclusion, the findings of this research demonstrate promising results in empowering students to become well-rounded, culturally aware, and environmentally conscious global citizens. However, further research is needed to explore the long-term impact and scalability of this product.
