Abstract

Managing relationships with customers is a strategy that is currently required by each agency as a strategic part of the business in order to increase customer loyalty, in this case including both the health care institutions hospitals, health centers and other health care institutions. This study aims to implementation the features of Electronic Customer Relationship Management for the patient medical record. With this implementation of health care institutions will be able to apply the technology to help so that patients gain the ease and convenience of services provided which will later be formed customer loyalty.

Abstract

For years, the calibration and re-calibration service in Metrology Units is still running manually using a lot of paper documents. This situation has led to some administrative problems and high occurrence of manual errors. Therefore, it required an information system to improve the management of data and information in the Metrology Units. The aim of the research is to propose a new business process and also to propose a design of metrological information system for management of data and information on the calibration and re-calibration service in Metrology Units. The development of this system is organized in the Business Process Reengineering framework to show the activities in the organization's business process changes. The result of the research shows that the proposed business process by utilizing the information system is able to meet the improvement objectives i.e. the average time of administration process is dropped by 41.6%, facilitate the need to retrieve past data and information easier, and it is able to make the management of data and information on the calibration and recalibration services become more efficient in terms of the use of resources such as documents, human resources, and time duration to complete the work.

Abstract

One of the easiest ways to minimize electric energy use is by turning off the electrical appliances if they are not being used. Electrical appliances which are generally available in a building are lamps. Lamps control is still using conventional way; that is by using on and off switch. On the other hand, recent technology has invented more modern and sophisticated communication devices that can help people’s life. This research proposes the design of lamps control system that is in the form of web application using PHP programming language that is addressed to end users by pointing at the previous research that has produced a gateway prototype system by using access point. Then, this web application is evaluated by passing through usability testing based on five usability aspects. From the result of the assessment, it could be got reflect time to mean demand 1.332 seconds for turning on and turning off the lamps. The evaluation result of this web application showed that receiving value of usability by the user was above 3 (above the median) using 5 scale or having mean 4 point. Generally, web application that was made had owned usability value; those are good learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors and satisfaction.

Abstract

The research was done by building a prototype of the portal e-audit is the primary interface used by the team of inspectors and inspection agencies. Development of the prototype using the approach method of Rapid Application Development (RAD). With the prototype portal e-audit, inspection is carried out simulations Local Government Finance Report (LKPD) involving BPK RI Representative DIY Province and local government in the province of Yogyakarta, in order to identify the things that need to be prepared by the BPK RI and Local Government in the implementation e-audit is particularly true in the province of Yogyakarta. The results showed a variety of aspects must be considered by the BPK and Local Government in the implementation of e-readiness audit portal include e-audit, technical guidance on data access, user guidelines and service information from the BPK. The results of this study can be used by the BPK and local governments in improving the implementation of e-audit preparation, especially regarding the accessibility and functionality of the portal e-audit, the necessary data acquisition mechanism, identification of financial applications that use the local government, the mechanism of the test data as well as the availability of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for each activity the use of e-audit portal.

Abstract

The Student concentration selection is an alternative to develop each student based on his academic skill and interest. The selection is conducted by observing the completion of passing grade scores on certain courses that are associated with certain concentration and by taking account the concentration preference picked by each student. Concentration selection for constrained students are based on good grades of respective student on a certain concentration program. However, it often happens that concentration selection for constrained students is conducted without looking at his/her good grades. This research aims to develop a DSS (Decision Support System) application on concentration selection for constrained students. The proposed DSS is developed by implementing Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The testing is undertaken by comparing the result of concentration selection for constrained students done in manual way and the result obtained by developed DSS implementing AHP. For the purpose of testing, data of constrained students from X-G class of 2010/2011 school period was used. The comparison result proves that AHP in the developed DSS works well and right.

Abstract

The research is about modeling marker recognition of Augmented Reality with Metaio Creator that desktop based, for getting information from a smartphone specification. This application is run by direct camera pc to marker, then application will give an augmented information about that smartphone. The augmented information are specification, and top features of smartphone. The testing is done by do the marker (natural printed AR marker) recognition process. The testers of that testing are a range of marker recognition and large of marker area that is recognized by AR application. The results are a good range of marker recognition, from marker to pc camera, and a good large of marker area. So user know a good range and area of marker to run Augmented Reality application.

Abstract

In current PLC-based SCADA systems, sensor and actuator are generally connected to a PLC by wire. The wire however has many limitations, especially in term of flexibility. In the PLC-based SCADA system by wire, the number of the installed PLC will increase for each location that will be monitored and controlled. This research aims to design and implement a low cost, low power and reliable wireless sensor and actuator system, which can be used in the PLC-based SCADA system to overcome the limitations of wire media. The wirelesssensor and actuator system can also be used as an alternative to reduce the amount of the used PLC within the SCADA system. In this research, we have designed a wireless sensor and actuator system based on WPAN technology (IEEE 802.15.4), which is low cost, low power, and reliable. The results reveal that the wireless sensor and actuator system is able to operate well when they are implemented on the PLC-based SCADA system used to monitor and control the water filtration process in the tub filtration.

Abstract

Idle speed control has been a classical problem in automotive control. The problem of idle speed control is to maintain the engine speed at a predetermined value (set-point) in the presence of various external torque such as air conditioner or power steering usage. Good idle speed control not only can reduce fuel consumption and emissions but also improve combustion stability. This study was conducted by simulating gasoline engine performance with various changes in external torque parameter using computational software. Control of idle speed with various changes in external torque was done using fuzzy control with adaptive mechanism on its parameters. System testing was done by providing an external torque changes using various step signals and random signal. The test results show that controlling system with adaptive fuzzy is able to keep idle speed at a predetermined value. Testing the system with adaptive fuzzy control produces smaller IAE value (59.19) than the fuzzy control without adaptation process (62.41).

Abstract

Research in the field of robotics development equipped with electronic nose is a new challenge. By implementing electronic nose, the robot can identify and mitigate the risks arising from the interaction between humans andharmful gases. This research used robotino that was programmed and equipped with electronic nose to make it more easy and flexible to be controlled by humans to approach the object (toxic gas), as well as designing an artificial intelligence using Multi Layer Perceptron with Error Back Propagation method to gain the weight. The weight that was obtained will be applied to a robot, so by using feed forward process according to these weight, the robot was able to precisely and quickly identify gasses that were obtained from the output of TGS array sensors. Experiment result shows that by training 12 sample data, the robot is able to classify gasoline and alcohol with the accuracy of 100%.

Abstract

Lightning is a natural phenomenon that usually appears during the rainy season which begins with a momentary flash of light followed by a booming voice. Indonesian territory located in the equatorial region has a tropical climate and the humidity is quite high. This is a major factor lightning formation. Research on the cutting capacity of low voltage arrester residual voltage of 220 volts is done with laboratory scale testing methods. Tests carried out using a high-voltage test equipment consisting of a series that has a specific function. Overall system testing in this study by using a series of impulse voltage generator, which serial-four arrester, voltage divider and an oscilloscope. Then start tested arresters from a single, serial two, serial three and serial four. Circuit used in testing is a series of current impulse in the Laboratory of High Voltage Engineering of Gadjah Mada University. The results of the testing showed that the more arrester serried the more the greater residual voltage of the system. So that might be expected that serial low voltage arrester can replace the function of a highvoltage arrester if necessary. Exponential formula for the amount needed to serial arrester is y = 0.694x acquired-0106.
