Abstract

Based on internal data, the turnover rate in the procurement division reached 35%, far exceeding other divisions in the company. This phenomenon is thought to be triggered by high work stress, low job satisfaction, and weak organizational commitment. These three factors directly or indirectly impact productivity, increase recruitment costs, and decrease the stability of the company's operations. This study aims to analyze the effect of work stress, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment on turnover intention in employees of the procurement division of PT X who have a work period of less than two years. The approach used in this study is quantitative with a causal-comparative method. Data were collected by distributing closed questionnaires based on a Likert scale to 40 employees who were the research samples. Data analysis was conducted through instrument validity and reliability tests, as well as multiple linear regression analysis supported by classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. The results showed that work stress had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention (? = 0.330; p <0.01), which means that the higher the level of work stress, the greater the employee's intention to leave the company. Conversely, job satisfaction had a negative and significant effect on turnover intention (? = -0.189; p = 0.024), indicating that dissatisfaction with aspects such as compensation and work environment were triggers for the desire to resign. Organizational commitment was found to have the strongest negative effect on turnover intention (? = -0.372; p <0.01), confirming that employees with high emotional ties and involvement in the company tend to have greater loyalty. The managerial implications of these findings are the need to implement stress management programs such as job rotation and training, increasing job satisfaction through evaluation of compensation systems and career development opportunities, and strengthening organizational commitment through mentoring programs and employer branding strategies. This study provides an important contribution in formulating a more effective retention strategy for PT X.

Abstract

This study examines the contribution of a professional development program on Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-oriented German language teaching. Conducted at a high school in Jakarta, Indonesia, the research focuses on a German teacher who participated in the HOTS-based Language Teaching Methodology Training. Using a descriptive case study approach, data were collected through questionnaires, classroom observations, and interviews. The findings reveal that while the teacher demonstrated an improved understanding of HOTS and its integration into language teaching post-training, challenges such as limited preparation time, inadequate teaching materials, and students' low German proficiency hindered optimal implementation. Classroom practices predominantly emphasized lower-order thinking skills (LOTS), with minimal application of HOTS-oriented learning models introduced in the training. However, the teacher employed strategies like cultural comparisons to foster critical thinking. Student perceptions indicated confidence in using German during class activities but limited motivation to apply it outside the classroom. The study highlights the need for better-prepared teaching materials, more training support, and adjustments to classroom dynamics to effectively integrate HOTS into German language instruction.

Abstract

This research has an urgency to develop environmentally friendly materials as an alternative to synthetic fiber-based composite materials that are widely used in the automotive, construction, and manufacturing industries. This research develops bamboo fiber-based composites that have advantages such as corrosion resistance, lightweight, inexpensive, and competitive in strength with metal materials. The goal of this development is to produce a lightweight, strong, and elastic material, which can be applied to a variety of products. The composite sample was made using an epoxy resin matrix using the hand lay-up method. Three variations of fiber volume fractions (10%, 20%, and 30%) were used to explore their effect on load distribution and energy absorption ability during impact. The results showed the highest value of 0.552 J/mm2 at Sp30.6, which was a fiber volume fraction of 30%, while the lowest value at Sp10.4 was a 30% volume fraction of 0.0251J/mm2. This shows that the increase in the volume fraction of petung bamboo fibers in the epoxy matrix significantly increases the impact toughness of the composite. This research is expected to determine the optimal composition to produce the best impact strength, so it is expected to produce an ideal material configuration for sustainable industrial applications.

Abstract

This article examines the role of Al-Azhar alumni, especially the two figures, namely Quraish Shihab and Abdul Somad Batubara in their da'wah to spread Islam that is rahmatan lil alamin in Bumi Nusantra. Both were born from the same womb that formed the basis of his da'wah thinking and method, namely the Al-Azhar campus. With a diversity of customs and pluralistic cultures, religious moderation here is understood as a religious attitude and view that prioritizes balance, justice, tolerance, and rejects all forms of extremism, both those that lead to radicalism and liberalism. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research approach with literature research. In the data collection technique, the author examined books related to moderation or wasathiyah which consisted of primary data, namely the works of al-Qardhawi, Quraish Shihab, Abdul Somad which were related to manhaj al-wasa?iy. Meanwhile, secondary data are books, articles, and social media videos that are spread about moderation in religion which are the result of the interpretation of others related to the object of this study. This research is expected to provide insight into the role of Al-Azhar alumni in shaping the face of moderate Islam in Indonesia and contribute to socio-religious studies related to the diversity of da'wah approaches in Islamic organizations.

Abstract

Depression is a common psychological problem in general population as well as in deaf community. Deaf with mental problems tend to face challenges not just stigma, but also lack of proper health care and a complex medical treatment. Very few studies in Indonesia focused on deaf and mental disorder. This case report described a 31 year old deaf female with depression. Since one year ago, she reported depressive symptoms such as low mood, anhedonia, feeling useless and anxious about her private life and work situation. Patient had minimal understanding of mental disorder and how to receive medical help which derived mostly from those who talk. This case report discussed a general approach in treating and several challenges in handling mental disorder in deaf individual especially psychopharmacological treatment and psychotherapy which needed verbal communication thus creating more complex approach from doctor who speaks to patient who used sign language. Using sign language interpreter may help patient and doctor creating therapeutic relationship and good outcome. Comprehensive understanding towards deaf with mental disorder may help the patient receiving adequate and equal service as general population.

Abstract

This thesis explores how optimizing brand portfolio strategy can improve market competitiveness, with EIGER—a leading Indonesian outdoor brand—as the primary case study. As EIGER transitions from a domestic leader to a regional and global contender, the brand faces critical challenges: sub-brand fragmentation, overlapping product lines, diluted brand equity, and operational inefficiencies including oversupply and weak product coordination. Rather than treating brand portfolio and brand architecture as parallel dimensions, this research views them as sequential stages—where a clarified, insight-driven portfolio lays the groundwork for a stronger, more scalable architecture. A well-prioritized brand portfolio, in this context, serves as the strategic bridge between internal clarity and external relevance. Using the Brand Portfolio Audit and Brand Architecture Strategy framework developed by Brandão & Sousa (2020), the research evaluates EIGER’s current portfolio through both quantitative and qualitative lenses—integrating internal brand data, consumer perception analysis, strategic interviews with leadership, and benchmarking against global outdoor and sportswear brands. The analysis identifies structural inconsistencies and disconnects between brand intent and market execution, revealing how ambiguity within the portfolio has weakened both operational focus and consumer resonance. The study proposes a transition from a fragmented sub-brand system to a unified mono-brand architecture anchored on two primary strategic platforms: Outdoor Lifestyle and Outdoor Performance. This model offers a clear structure for category differentiation while leveraging the equity of the master brand. It also enables greater operational efficiency, eliminates redundancy, and enhances emotional connection across market segments. The thesis concludes by outlining a phased implementation roadmap—extending beyond portfolio architecture to include the development of a unified brand identity system, product architecture, and design DNA—positioning EIGER for long-term, scalable growth in a highly competitive global landscape.
