Abstract

X, a public railway transportation company, is experiencing challenges in its procurement process, including frequent delays and failures. To support timely project execution and optimal budget utilization, this study applies the Lean Six Sigma methodology through the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework to analyze inefficiencies and propose improvements. The Define phase identifies key procurement issues and customer expectations; the Measure phase calculates the current sigma level (3.33) and highlights problem patterns; the Analyze phase explores root causes using fishbone diagrams and 5 Whys; the Improve phase presents 13 actionable recommendations; and the Control phase outlines a plan to sustain improvements. The primary issue identified is a 16.81% procurement failure rate, mainly due to bids exceeding the Owner’s Estimate and the absence of qualified vendors. Cost-benefit analysis confirms the feasibility of improvements, showing a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 770,512,859, a Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) of 1.557, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 108%, and a Payback Period of 1 year. These findings support the implementation of targeted process enhancements to improve procurement performance at PT. X.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peningkatan efisiensi manajemen inventori melalui penerapan metode Material Requirements Planning (MRP) di PT Borneo Indobara, sebuah perusahaan pertambangan batubara di Indonesia. Dengan meningkatnya volume persediaan yang signifikan, perusahaan menghadapi tantangan dalam pengelolaan inventori yang efisien. Melalui penerapan MRP, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi manajemen inventori saat ini, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi, dan mengevaluasi efektivitas MRP dalam meningkatkan manajemen inventori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan MRP berhasil menurunkan biaya penyimpanan, meningkatkan tingkat ketersediaan stok, dan memperpendek lead time pemesanan, sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi operasional perusahaan.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension management relies heavily on lifestyle modification, yet many patients remain non-adherent to healthy behaviours. This study aimed to assess the influence of sociodemographic, personal, and environmental factors on healthy lifestyle adherence among hypertensive patients, using the Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) framework. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in July 2024 at a private hospital in Bogor, involving 239 hypertensive outpatients. Validated questionnaires assessed self-efficacy, self-regulation, social support, and adherence behaviours. Data were analyzed using Chi-square and Fisher’s Exact tests (p < 0.05). Results: Significant associations were found between age, BMI, number of children, and family history of hypertension with motivation, self-efficacy, self-regulation, social support, and lifestyle adherence. Age was significantly linked to motivation (p = 0.001), self-efficacy (p = 0.001), and self-regulation (p = 0.005). BMI correlated with illness perception (p = 0.002), self-regulation (p = 0.025), and adherence (p = 0.004). Number of children and family history of hypertension were also significantly related to multiple behavioural factors. Gender, education, and occupation showed no significant effects. Conclusion: Adherence to a healthy lifestyle among hypertensive patients is significantly influenced by age, BMI, number of children, and family history. SCT-based interventions should target personal and familial factors to improve lifestyle adherence and hypertension outcomes.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification in promoting sustainable palm oil business practices in Indonesia, through a comparative study with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The background of this study stems from the strategic role of palm oil as a major national commodity that significantly contributes to the economy yet faces sustainability challenges. The ISPO certification is intended to ensure business practices that are legal, environmentally friendly, and socially equitable. However, there are still gaps in its implementation, especially in meeting the stringent standards of the EUDR, which requires for products that exports to the European Union. This study aims to analyze the legal framework of ISPO in promoting sustainable business practices and to identify the legal implications arising from the differences in standards between ISPO and the EUDR, particularly in terms of legal certainty and global market access for Indonesian businesses. The research adopts a normative juridical approach with qualitative analysis of national and international regulations, as well as relevant literature studies. The results of this research are expected to provide more effective and inclusive policy recommendations, strengthen international recognition of the ISPO, and protect the interests of smallholder farmers and local communities within Indonesia’s palm oil supply chain amid evolving global regulatory dynamics.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Industri rumah sakit di Indonesia berada dalam fase transformasi dinamis dengan pertumbuhan sektor kesehatan 8-10% per tahun dalam lima tahun terakhir. PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk sebagai salah satu jaringan rumah sakit swasta terbesar di Indonesia telah menerapkan strategi ekspansi agresif dengan menambah 8 rumah sakit baru dalam tiga tahun terakhir. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak strategi ekspansi agresif PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (2022–2024) terhadap kesehatan finansial perusahaan dengan pendekatananalisis keuangan multidimensi. Metode: Studi kuantitatif ini menggunakan analisis rasio keuangan (profitabilitas, likuiditas, solvabilitas, dan aktivitas) berdasarkan laporan keuangan konsolidasi 2022–2024. Data diolah dengan metode Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) dan dibandingkan dengan performa finansial rumah sakit sejenis serta standar industri rumah sakit di Indonesia. Hasil: Ekspansi agresif RS Hermina menghasilkan pertumbuhan rata-rata tahunan pendapatan (7,7%) dan laba bersih (16,2%) selama periode 2022-2024. Namun, total utang juga mengalami peningkatan rata-rata 13,6% per tahun, melebihi pertumbuhan ekuitas yang hanya 9,6% per tahun. Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) meningkat menjadi 0,80x pada 2024 (melebihi standar industri 0,50-0,70x). Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) mencapai 44,5% (mendekati batas atas kisaran aman 50%), sedangkan current ratio menurun dari 1,26x menjadi 1,13x, mengindikasikan tekanan likuiditas. Asset turnover (0,63x) dan receivable turnover (5,78x) masih berada di bawah standar industri, menandakan utilisasi aset yang belum optimal dan tantangan dalam pengelolaan piutang. Kesimpulan: Strategi ekspansi agresif RS Hermina berhasil mendorong pertumbuhan pendapatan dan laba jangka pendek, namun juga meningkatkan risiko terhadap kesehatan finansial jangka panjang. Rekomendasi strategis meliputi restrukturisasi utang, optimalisasi aset, penguatan likuiditas, dan diversifikasi sumber pendapatan untuk menjaga keberlanjutan keuangan di tengah dinamika industri kesehatan.

Abstract

e-Simpadu merupakan sebuah inovasi layanan berbasis digital yang dikembangkan oleh Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (DPMPTSP) Kabupaten Lumajang sebagai bagian dari penguatan e-government dalam pelayanan perizinan daerah. Aplikasi ini dirancang untuk mengurangi intensitas tatap muka, meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan, serta mendukung digitalisasi dokumen perizinan dengan penerapan tanda tangan elektronik dari BSrE/BSSN Republik Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan e-Simpadu dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik serta mengidentifikasi hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indikator pelayanan seperti bukti fisik (tangibles), kehandalan (reliability), ketanggapan (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance), empati (empathy), kemudahan, kemanfaatan, dan akses layanan secara real-time telah diterapkan dengan baik melalui e-Simpadu. Namun, implementasi aplikasi ini masih menghadapi kendala, seperti keterbatasan anggaran untuk infrastruktur, minimnya pelatihan bagi petugas, kurangnya fasilitas bagi penyandang disabilitas dan lansia, serta terbatasnya sosialisasi kepada masyarakat dan OPD teknis terkait. Dampak positif dari penerapan e-Simpadu terlihat pada meningkatnya tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan di DPMPTSP Kabupaten Lumajang. Dengan demikian, e-Simpadu menjadi langkah penting dalam membangun pelayanan publik yang lebih cepat, transparan, dan ramah masyarakat, meski perbaikan berkelanjutan masih sangat diperlukan.

Abstract

In an era of dynamic industrial competition, organizations are required to adopt innovative strategies to improve team performance. The Intrapreneur Bintang Framework emerges as a strategic approach to fostering intrapreneurial behavior within organizations. However, its effectiveness has primarily been studied in SMEs, with limited empirical evidence in large-scale industries such as biotechnology. Grounded in the Knowledge-Based View (KBV), this study aims to examine the influence of the Intrapreneur Bintang Framework on Team Performance, with Knowledge Sharing Behavior (KSB) as a mediating variable and Organizational Culture as a moderating variable. This quantitative study surveyed 106 respondents from five strategic divisions at PT. XYZ (XYZ-01) and employed PLS-SEM analysis. The results indicate that the framework has a significant influence on both KSB and Team Performance, directly and indirectly. However, the mediating effect of KSB is partial and weaker than the direct path. Organizational Culture did not significantly moderate the relationship. Similarly, the control variables of Position Level and Tenure yielded non-significant results, although coefficient directions suggest that junior and non-managerial employees are more responsive to intrapreneurial values. Theoretically, these findings extend the KBV framework by emphasizing the role of social and cultural dynamics in knowledge sharing. Practically, organizations should cultivate a systematic and organization-wide knowledge-sharing culture. Therefore, future research is encouraged to explore how each dimension of the Intrapreneur Bintang Framework can be adapted or restructured, both for upper- and lower-level employees, so that the framework remains relevant and holistic across all organizational layers

Abstract

Workshop is one type of building that accommodates unusual activities and requires special handling. Therefore, in carrying out workshop building maintenance, a guideline is needed. One of them is SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). SOP is useful for ensuring consistency and efficiency in workshop building maintenance. Maintenance activities will be recorded properly. In addition, the existence of SOP can be a guideline for building maintenance according to applicable provisions. One of the provisions related to building maintenance is Permen PU No. 24/PRT/M/2008 concerning Guidelines for Building Maintenance and Care. This study aims to compile a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for workshop building maintenance based on Permen PU No. 24/PRT/M/2008. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out through observation and interviews. Observations were made in the workshop building to see the construction specifications. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted with users and building managers to find out the activities in the building. The results of this study are SOPs for building maintenance that can be applied to workshops.

Abstract

Leadership is one of the key factors determining the success of an organization. Leaders who lack the ability to guide and direct their teams effectively often fail to achieve organizational goals. This can lead to low productivity and efficiency within the company. Therefore, it is essential for organizations to have quality leaders who can inspire and motivate employees to work optimally. This study aims to analyze the impact of transformational leadership on employee performance in the Procurement Department of PT X, a pulp and paper manufacturing company. The Procurement Department plays a strategic role in supporting production continuity through the procurement of goods and services, including the conversion of Purchase Requests (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO). This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method targeting employees in the department. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression manually to examine the relationship between leadership style and employee performance. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of effective leadership strategies to improve individual and organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work life balance on employee performance in the Purchasing Division of PT X. This study is a quantitative descriptive and associative study. Quantitative research is conducted to measure the relationship between the variables Work life Balance (X) and Employee Performance (Y) using numerical data collected through questionnaires. In this study, the population determined is all employees working in the Purchasing Division of PT X, which is located in Riau Province. This division was chosen because it has a crucial role in the company's operational processes, especially in ensuring the smooth procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services needed to support the company's production and activities as a whole. The sample in this study amounted to 70 employees working in the Purchasing Division of PT X. The sample selection was carried out using a saturated sampling technique, namely a sampling technique in which all members of the population are used as samples because the number is relatively small and can still be reached in this study. The results of a simple linear regression analysis show that Work Life Balance has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. With a significance value of 0.045 which is smaller than 0.05, the hypothesis of this study is accepted. In addition, the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 58% indicates that Work Life Balance can explain most of the variation in employee performance. The better the Work Life Balance felt by employees, the higher the performance they achieve. Employees who can balance work and personal life tend to be more productive, have high work motivation, and are able to carry out their duties well.
