Abstract

Tobacco is the largest foreign exchange for the country. So for some countries, including Indonesia, it plays a role in the national economy. The central statistics agency. noted that East Java was the province with the largest tobacco plantation area in Indonesia. One of them is the tobacco and pasat tobacco (H8). The purpose of this study was to analyze caterpillar pest on conducting interviews surveys to farmers using purposive sampling method. Where the researcher determines the sampling by establishing special characteristic that are in accordance with the research objectives. The results of the study obtained information that the caterpillar pest is often a constraint on tobacco plants. Meanwhile, there is a shortage of fertilizes and causes prices to skyrocket. If it continuous, this can result in huge losses because the output issued is greater than the input received.

Abstract

Public speaking skills or public speaking are very useful in the process of self-development for anyone, especially for someone who does have a role in an organization or group in society. However, many people, including women, feel that they are not even able to speak in public because they lack confidence, do not understand the material, or do not understand how to do it. Therefore, public speaking skills must be cultivated, safe and developed continuously. This became the basis for the implementation of the Community Service Program (PKM), which was attended by 25 women representatives from recitation groups in the Sukorambi Jember. The PKM program is packaged in the form of training with the aim of building confidence in public speaking, understanding the material to be delivered, and being able to apply public speaking techniques. During the training, participants receive basic materials and public speaking techniques and the opportunity to practice directly. Implementation starts from the initial observation stage, orientation, introduction of material, practice, and ends with evaluation. The results of the training were quite good, it was proven that at the end of the meeting, the participants had achieved adequate public speaking skills, increased self-confidence, were able to present material well, and were able to apply public speaking techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the role of the Teaching Campus in improving the literacy, numeracy and technological adaptation of the first menegah school students in East Java to improve the quality of education. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The study was conducted for six months. The location of this study was carried out at the Junior High School in East Java, namely SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran. Data collection procedures, techniques and instruments using observation, interviews and documentation. So it can be concluded that the Teaching Campus in improving literacy, numeracy and technology adaptation has an important and successful role in carrying out its programs assisted by students and the support of the school and students.

Abstract

Desa Mojomulyo merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Puger Kabupaten Jember. Desa Mojomulyo terdiri dari dua dusun yaitu Dusun Krajan dan Dusun Kalimalang. Mayoritas mata pencaharian masyarakat kedua dusun tersebut adalah petani jagung. Salah satu permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat Dusun Krajan adalah kurangnya kreatifitas pemanfaatan limbah janggel jagung. Masyarakat Dusun Krajan kurang menyadari adanya potensi usaha baru yang ada di Dusun Krajan. Adapun upaya pengembangan potensi desa dapat dilakukan dengan memaksimalkan potensi yang ada dilingkungan sekitar. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan budidaya jamur janggel. Metode yang digunakan yaitu sosialisasi dan praktek. Harapannya dengan melakukan kegiatan budidaya jamur janggel dapat mengurangi limbah janggel jagung dan menambah pendapatan masyarakat.

Abstract

In the news RadarJember explained that the number of cases of abuse of narcotics and illegal drugs (drugs) in Jember Regency is quite high. According to Habilis Indonesia, a foundation engaged in the rehabilitation of drug addicts in Jember, during the last three months until February 2021, there have been 55 cases. Jember is said to be the center of drug trafficking in the Tapal Kuda area. The purpose of the Anti-Drug Student Movement Educational activity at MTs Darul Huda, Bagorejo Village, Jember Regency, is to increase students' knowledge from a young age about the dangers of drug abuse. Data collection was carried out through observing the enthusiasm of students in participating in activities, besides carrying out a post-activity question and answer session. This activity was held for all students in grades VII, VIII and IX at MTs Darul Huda, Bagorejo Village, Jember Regency. Furthermore, the results show that the enthusiasm of students in participating in these socialization activities is very high, in theory they already know Narcotics in general and additional information to find out the latest types of Narcotics discoveries.

Abstract

This activity aims to improve the quality of life of families who have had leprosy through adaptation and mitigation of the covid 19 outbreak. It was carried out by PerMaTa management in East Java Province which focused on 7 districts/cities, namely; Surabaya, Lamongan, Jember, Mojokerto, Blitar, Kediri and Ngawi. This activity is carried out through several stages, namely the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. In real terms, this activity takes the form of: (1) Economic Empowerment and Supervision in the form of capital assistance (2) Providing self-care materials in the form of providing self-care materials as an effort to prevent transmission of covid 19 (3) Providing school materials to children of persons affected by leprosy, activities this helps to ease the burden on parents of students in meeting the needs of school supplies and (4) Food Aid in the form of activities providing food assistance. The distribution of aid had problems because there was a policy of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) on both the micro and macro scale, making the implementation of activities unable to run according to the timeline, but all programs were implemented properly and received a positive response from the community. Abstract

Sekolah Dasar Nahdlatul Wathon Kecamatan Sumberbaru Kabupaten Jember merupakan sekolah sasaran kegiatan Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 5 yang telah memiliki fasilitas layanan kesehatan dan kebersihan yang cukup mendukung untuk menunjang pola hidup sehat para siswanya. Namun demikian,hampir disetiap kehadiran pada kegiatan pembelajaran terdapat siswa yang absen dan ijin sakit mengobservasi terdapat banyak siswa yang rentan sakit dan memiliki sakit kulit pada tangan yang menular. Dengan latar belakang empiris tersebut penguatan Pola Hidup Sehat dan Bersih melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat menjadi sebuah upaya dalam mengenalkan pola hidup sehat melalui sekolah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu evaluasi terkait pengetahuan siswa untuk 6 langkah cuci tangan dengan sabun, melihat kebersihan tangan pada setipa siswa, penjelasan terkait dampak tidak mencuci tangan terhadap siswa, pelaksaan praktik 6 langkah mencuci tangan, terakhir yaitu mengevaluasi kembali terkait pemahaman siswa terhadapa 6 langkah mencuci tangan. Tolak ukur dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di MI yaitu semua siswa dapat mempraktikkan 6 langkah mencuci tangan sesuai dari WHO. Kata Kunci: Pola Hidup Sehat, Langkah Cuci Tangan,

Abstract

Video jurnalistik perlu ditumbuh kembangkan di generasi Y,Z, dan Alpha. Tujuannya untuk menimbun sampah-sampah digital. Jika konten-konten menarik dan bermanfaat semakin banyak terdistribusi di dunia maya, maka bisa menjadi salah satu solusi untuk menimbun sampah-sampah digital. Hal ini juga menjadi kebiasaan baik untuk generasi saat ini agar selalu berkarya membuat video jurnalistik. Pelatihan video jurnalistik menjadi penting agar banyak generasi muda saat ini memahami cara membuat karya video jurnalisitk. Kali ini sasarannya adalah mahasiswa dari berbagai fakultas di UIN Khas Jember Jawa Timur. Metodenya adalah dengan menerapkan fungsi manajemen Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controling (POAC). Materi dipersiapkan dengan baik terutama disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peserta. Karena ini pelatihan video jurnalistik, maka porsinya menyiapkan materi-materi video jurnalistik. Hasil pelatihan di luar dugaan, karena peserta mampu menerapkan teori yang mereka terima dan berani mencoba stand up atau berbicara di depan kamera layaknya reporter professional. Pelatihan itu perlu ditindak lanjuti dengan mengakomodasi peserta dalam wadah video jurnalistik warga, agar mereka terus berkarya dan berkontribusi konten positif untuk dunia digital. Abstract

Banyak produk unggulan yang diproduksi oleh UMKM, produk yang dihasilkan pun sangat beragam mulai dari produk makanan, hingga kerajinan tangan. Salah satunya adalah produk UMKM yang berupa Keripik Singkong. Keterampilan dalam menguasai ketrampilan pengemasan dan pelabelan yang berbasis smart labeling yang berorientasi konsep kekinian sangat penting diberikan bagi para pelaku usaha UMKM utamanya yang berada di Kecamatan Jombang. Adapun objek penelitian yang digunakan ialah UMKM kerupuk singkong yang berada di Dusun Krajan 1 Desa Jombang Kecamatan Jombang Kabupaten Jember. Metode yang diaplikasikan pada pengabdian ini adalah sustainable livelihood dimana implementasi metode ini digunakan salah satunya untuk menyelesaikan masalah keterkejutan pendapatan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa adanya bantuan pelatihan smart labeling dapat meningkatkan motivasi bagi mitra untuk melaksanakan pemasaran terhadap produknya supaya omsetnya meningkat.
