Abstract

One of the important goals of tool or machine maintenance is to ensure the safety of tools and operators and users. Besides other economic goals such as extending the service life so as to increase the productivity of the tool or machine. Proper maintenance of tools or machines needs to be carried out, especially maintenance of means of transportation or transportation, both land, sea and air transportation, which can involve the safety of people and the environment at large. This research raises the problem; why and how urgent maintenance is needed on the engine lubrication system of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopter. This maintenance was carried out jointly by the technicians of the Urban Air company and students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bali State Polytechnic who carried out field work practices (PKL), at PT. Urban Air Indonesia, Badung, Bali. The aims of this research are; can find the cause of a warning in the engine lubricating system known as a pope out, and can carry out appropriate maintenance according to standard procedures from the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopter manufacturer. The result; maintenance was carried out according to standard procedures according to Alert Service Bulletin or ASB 506. 21 – 22 pig 1 of 5, and chips were found in the aircraft engine lubrication system oil filter. The metal flakes impede the flow of lubricating oil, so that the oil flows through the bypass pipe which causes the lubricating system pressure to rise. Then press the safety bolt which causes a pope out warning. Thus, the maintenance of the aircraft engine lubrication system can be completed within two days, and the aircraft can be operated properly and safely again.

Abstract

Thermal energy storage based on phase change material (PCM) as an energy storage material is considered a promising technology to meet future energy needs due to its low cost and high storage capacity under isothermal conditions. Thermal energy storage is an inevitable component of intermittent use of renewable energy technology, due to its significant role in improving efficiency and Quality of Service (QoS). At present, one of the main researchers in such systems is to improve the efficiency of heat exchangers and heat carriers. Therefore, studying the thermal behaviour and thermophysical properties of heat storage is very important. Supercooling is a thermophysical property of PCM that is problematic in thermal storage applications and is a challenge in technical applications. Supercooling of phase change materials (PCM) during the process of changing from liquid to solid is a major problem in thermal energy storage, which reduces energy efficiency and exacerbates energy wastage. This study focuses on the supercooling characteristics of PCM under heterogeneous nucleation, which provides a new idea to investigate the effect of nucleating agents on the supercooling rate of aqueous solutions. Understanding, predicting and, where possible, preventing, or at least reducing, supercooling is of particular importance for latent heat thermal energy storage systems, as the temperature differences within them must be small to achieve higher efficiencies. Water is the most popular PCM today, because it has good characteristics, but has a weakness, namely high supercooling. Various methods have been sought and developed to control the behaviour of supercooling fluids. The most economical and efficient method for reducing or eliminating supercooling is the addition of a nucleating agent. Various PCM samples, namely propylene glycol solution in water, were made in various percentages (10/90, 20/80 and 30/70) with the aim of reducing supercooling of water. The samples made were tested by the T-history method. The results showed that the water supercooling decreased with the increase in the percentage of propylene glycol solution in water, from 10 degrees to 6, 4, 2 degrees respectively, making it suitable for cooling applications.

Abstract

In the process of implementing a looping low-voltage network. In this study, the author analyzes the application looping of low-voltage networks in premium bronze customers which is applied to the DB0575 and DB0292 substations. There are several things that are analyzed in this study, namely transformer loading, voltage drop, loading of KHA, analysis of the best networks, and protection of NH Fuse. This research uses software in simulating the application looping of low-voltage networks. Transformer loading before the application of looping low voltage networks on DB0575 and DB0292 are 28.2% and 48.95% while after the application of looping of low-voltage networks are 28.2% and 51.9%. The smallest value of voltage drop and loading of KHA are resulted in the 1st direction at the DB0575 substation with a value of 1.17% and 7.08% and the 4th direction at the DB0292 substation with a value of 0.73% and 17.91%, And the recommended protection rating for the DB0575 substation after the application is using the NH Fuse 'gG' rated current 200 A with a maximum voltage of 690 V and a rated breaking capacity of 50 kA as a protection system on low voltage distribution panel for a 3-phase 250 kVA 2-way distribution transformer. Meanwhile, the DB0292 substation uses an NH Fuse 'gG' rated current 125 A with a maximum voltage of 690 V and a rated breaking capacity of 50 kA as a protection system on low voltage distribution panel for a 3-phase 315 kVA 4-way distribution transformer.

Abstract

Evaporative cooling works by sucking air from the environment, then the air is in contact with a pad that is dripping with water on the front side of the blower/fan. Water soaks the pad at the top and the rest of these droplets will fall into the water tank below. Water is circulated from the water tank to the top of the pad with the help of a pump. The cold air coming out of the pad will be blown by the blower/fan into the environment, and the cooling process takes place. Data collection was carried out to obtain the performance of the Evaporative Cooling system made from zeolite by measuring the temperature and RH of the air at several positions, namely outside the conditioned room, after passing through the pad and in the conditioned room. Also recorded is air flow velocity, voltage and current from fans and pumps. Two different water distribution conditions were carried out, namely with the spray pad method and the soaked pad method. Data were collected every 10 minutes for 8 hours. Data were collected for 5 consecutive days. The EC system is an alternative air conditioning system that is environmentally friendly and low energy use. Using a cooling pad material that is environmentally friendly and has the ability to stay wet will make the EC system operate properly. The use of zeolite as a cooling pad material with the ability to absorb and store water is a cooling pad material that needs to be considered. It is still necessary to continue to improve the dimensions and pore structure of the zeolite cooling pad in order to improve the water absorption and storage process.

Abstract

Dalam dunia industri perhotelan mutu pelayanan merupakan senjata utama dalam persaingan di industri pariwisata. Mutu pelayanan sebaik mungkin dijaga agar tamu merasa nyaman sehingga tamu akan dating kembali ke hotel. Di The Ritz-Carlton Bali mutu pelayanan sangat dijaga demi kenyamanan tamu. The Ritz-Carlton Bali merupakan hotel resort yang memiliki luas 12,7 hektar sehingga memerlukan sarana transportasi berupa buggy dalam operasional hotel baik untuk transportasi tamu dan keperluan lainnya. Tentunya kondisi buggy harus tetap prima setiap harinya demi menjaga mutu pelayanan terhadap tamu. Namun kenyataanya di lapangan sering kali terjadi masalah pada buggy dimana buggy mogok dan mati total. Masalah tersebut disebabkan oleh faktor human error dan kondisi baterai sudah tidak layak pakai. Masalah ini juga dikarenakan pada kendaraan buggy tidak terdapat indikator kapasitas baterai sehingga saat buggy sudah melemah baru akan dilakukan pengisian baterai. Faktor ini menyebabkan kondisi baterai epat mengalami drop. Oleh sebab itu kami merancang alat yang dapat memonitoring kapasitas bateri buggy di The Ritz-Carlton Bali yang berbasis telegram sehingga memudahkan staff hotel dalam memantau kapasitas buggy kapan saja. Untuk memonitoring baterai buggy kami menggunakan sensor tegangan dan ISP8266 yang berbasis telegram. Sistem kerja alat untuk memonitoring kapasitas baterai buggy ini yakni pada saat kapasitas baterai di bawah 30% maka akan muncul notifikasi di telegram kapasitas baterai buggy dan tegangan baterai, sehingga dapat segera di charge  dan mengurangi masalah buggy mogok. Kapasitas baterai juga dapat dimonitoring lewat aplikasi telegram kapan saja, dengan demikian untuk transportasi tamu di hotel tidak mengaami kemdala dan dapat menjaga bahkan meningkatkan mutu pelayanan terhadap tamu.

Abstract

Ground water tank atau dalam bahasa Indonesia yang sering disebut dengan tangki air bawah tanah, merupakan salah satu bentuk bak penampungan air yang dirancang  berada di bawah permukaan tanah. Ground water tank biasanya menggunakan material pelat beton bertulang yang dilapisi  waterproofing non-toxic (tidak beracun). Sulitnya memonitoring sebuah air pada ground water tank karena letaknya yang berada di bawah permukaan tanah, maka dari itu muncul sebuah inovasi sistem monitoring ketinggian air pada ground water tank berbasis IoT. Sistem monitoring ground water tank merupakan suatu alat yang dibuat untuk memonitoring sebuah ketinggian air yang berada pada bak ground water tank yang nantinya hasil data bisa ditampilkan melalui layar display LCD maupun platform atau aplikasi. Komponen pada alat tersebut menggunakan kontroler ESP8266 dan sensor ultrasonic tipe JSN- SR04T sebagai pembaca data. Dengan alat ini dapat dipantau ketinggian air secara otomatis lewat smartphone maupun komputer di hotel Ramada by Wyndham Bali Sunset Road berbasis IoT.

Abstract

Sistem kontrol otomatis dan monitoring temperature ruangan menggunakan ESP-32 untuk mengendalikan motor DC pada motorized valve yang mengatur aliran air dingin pada AHU (air handling unit) adalah rancangan alat yang dibuat untuk mengontrol suhu pada suatu ruangan. Dengan adanya alat kontrol temperatur otomatis menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP-32, maka dapat menjadikan alternatif untuk kontrol suhu pada suatu ruangan. Alat kontrol temperature otomatis menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP-32, suatu buah sensor suhu termokopel MAX6675 untuk membaca suhu pada supply ducting AHU serta menggerakkan motorized valve dari 0%, 50%, dan 100%. Komponen yang digunakan untuk mengatur pergerakan motorized valve tersebut adalah motor driver L298N. Motor driver L298N ini berfungsi sebagai pengatur tegangan output motor yang di mana tegangan output tersebut diubah menjadi gelombang PWM yang mengatur pergerakan motorized valve, sehingga motorized valve dapat terbuka dari 0%, 50%, dan 100% sesuai dengan pembacaan suhu dari sensor suhu.

Abstract

Pada zaman sekarang, perkembangan teknologi semakin pesat sehingga banyak perusahaan yang sudah mengganti presensi manual menggunakan presensi otomatis. Tetapi masih ada juga perusahaan yang menggunakan presensi manual menggunakan kertas. Tak terkecuali di PT. Urban Asia Industri yang masih menggunakan presensi manual dalam pengambilan makan siang. Untuk itu  dibuatlah rancangan sistem presensi makan siang yang bersifat otomatis menggunakan mikrokontroler dengan tambahan sensor Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). RFID adalah teknilogi untuk mengidentifikasi yang berbasis nirkabel (wireless) yang memanfaatkan gelombang elektromagnet dengan frekuensi tertentu untuk mengambil data dari suatu objek. Sensor RFID terdiri dari dua komponen utama yaitu RFID Reader dan Tag RFID. Perancangan sistem absensi makan siang pada PT. Urban Asia Industri dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi masalah yang terjadi di lapangan. Rancangan sistem absensi makan siang ini terdiri dari dua rancangan yaitu rancangan hardware dan rancangan software. Hasil pengujian dari hardware dan sorfware yang telah dilakukan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan dan dapat bekerja dengan baik.

Abstract

Keselamatan dalam bekerja merupakan hal yang penting, maka penggunaan kelengkapan alat pelindung diri (ADP) adalah keharusan. Namun pada kenyataan di lapangan, pekerja yang menggunakan APD lengkap dan benar terbilang sedikit. Dengan adanya masalah tersebut perusahaan selaku penanggung jawab mempekerjakan petugas K3 untuk mengawasi penggunaan APD pekerja. Untuk mengurangi biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk mempekerjakan petugas K3, maka dibuatlah sistem yang mampu mendeteksi dan mengawasi kedisiplinan pekerja dalam penggunaan APD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode You Only Look Once (YOLO) untuk mendeteksi objek berupa helm dan masker. Sistem yang dibuat memanfaatkan webcam sebagai penangkap citra (input) pekerja beserta APD yang digunakan. Jika perlengkapan APD sesuai dengan kriteria sistem, maka proses identifikasi APD selesai. Apabla APD tidak sesuai dengan kriteria sistem, maka sistem akan menampilkannya dilayar monitor dan mengirim ke data logger. Manfaat alat ini adalah mampu mendeteksi kelengkapan APD pekerja. Berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan dengan data training cukup stabil dalam mendeteksi objek dengan nilai akurasi deteksi paling besar adalah 0.90.
