Abstract

Peran keluarga menjadi sangat penting sebagai basis teladan dan sentral perubahan untuk mewujudkan generasi emas yang berakhlak, sehat, cerdas, terampil, dan mandiri dengan menciptakan kondisi lingkungan rumah yang asri, nyaman, ramah dan sehat untuk perkembangan anak. Kondisi ini dapat ditumbuh kembangkan melalui pendidikan keluarga berbasis paket pemberdayaan dengan sasaran perangkat desa, petugas kesehatan dan keluarga (PEKESGA) guna optimalisasi fungsi keluarga. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan melakukan survei kesiapan lokasi kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berkoordinasi dengan mitra, melakukan edukasi kepada keluarga tentang fungsi-fungsi keluarga khususnya tentang perbaikan gizi keluarga dan program kelompok kerja PEKESGA, dan membentuk kelompok kerja PEKESGA berdasarkan kesepakatan bersama dan dilegalkan melalui SK Kepala Desa. Hasil analisis pre-test dan post-test diketahui terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap fungsi keluarga khususnya dalam perbaikan gizi keluarga.

Abstract

Pinang Kencana Village is an area that is prone to dengue fever with a population of 47,509 people. In 2017 the Pinang Kencana Village occupied the highest dengue cases as many as 52 people. Every year, Pinang Kencana Village is an area that has the highest dengue cases. This is partly influenced by the behavior that often accommodates clean water during the rainy season and in the summer and is also added to the clean water reservoir in the Pinang Kencana sub-district school that does not have a lid so that it can cause the development of Aedes Sp mosquitoes. DHF transmission does not only occur in the neighborhood, but also in schools. Schools are one of the potential places that can be a breeding ground for Aedes mosquitoes, so they can become places for dengue transmission. Places that can be a breeding ground for mosquitoes in schools include water reservoirs, school toilets, flower pots, etc. And the school is also a place where a group of people gather on a regular basis which takes place almost every day, so that it becomes one of the priority places for periodic monitoring of the presence of larvae so that they do not become a source of dengue transmission.

Abstract

Periode masa nifas yang dijalani ibu postpartum masih memiliki berbagai kendala salah satunya persepsi yang belum sinergis dengan anjuran kesehatan. Peran sebagai orang tua tidak terlepas dari partisipasi atau kerja sama antara ibu dan keluarga (suami) serta anggota keluarga yang lain. Berkaitan dengan permasalahan tersebut di atas telah dipecahkan, salah satunya dengan membangun Model Edukasi Postnatal yang difokuskan pada ibu postpartum dengan melibatkan keluarga sebagai sosial support. Model ini memiliki keunggulan bahwa dalam mengoptimalkan pemahaman ibu tentang peran dan fungsinya dalam beradaptasi secara maternal dan perawatan bayi baru lahir, keluarga ikut terlibat aktif dalam upaya tersebut. Dampak dari peningkatan pemahaman ibu postpartum tersebut ibu akan memiliki kemampuan competent mothering secara optimal. Setelah dilakukan upaya peningkatan perilaku ibu postpartum melalui edukasi Family Centered Maternity Care (FCMC) diharapkan ibu postpartum dapat melakukan pijat oksitosin dengan melibatkan keluarga. Metode pelaksanaan dengan demontrasi dan diskusi. Media yang digunakan adalah phantom payudara, booklet perawatan masa nifas salah satunya pijat oksitosin, LCD, Laptop dan Proyektor.Pelaksanaan pendidikan kesehatan dilaksanakan secara kunjungan rumah dengan memperhatikan protocol kesehatan yaitu pada bulan Maret 2021 sampai September 2021. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat adalah 90% ibu postpartum bisa melakukan pijat oksitosin dengan keterlibatan keluarga. Serta dari hasil monitoring dan evaluasi dengan cara pertemuan kembali dengan cara melakukan kunjungan rumah (home care) kepada ibu postpartum dengan menggunakan instrument yang berhubungan dengan perawatan postpartum. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan perilaku ibu postpartum dalam pijat oksitosin di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Gambirsari Surakarta.

Abstract

Data from Riskesdas in 2013 and 2018 showed an increase in cancer prevalence in Indonesia from 1.4% to 1.49%. Screening is a government effort or a simple and easy test carried out on a healthy population with the aim of distinguishing people who are sick or at risk of contracting the disease among healthy people. One form of increasing public awareness about the symptoms and signs of cancer, one of which is the provision of public education about breast self-examination (BSE). Based on the results of interviews with cadres at Posyandu Tanggul Asri RW 10, Kadipiro Village, Banjarsari District, Surakarta, cadres have never received counseling about early detection of breast cancer with BSE. The purpose of this community service is that it is hoped that the skills of cadres in carrying out BSE will increase. The methods used in this community service activity are lectures, demonstrations, discussions / questions and answers. From the results of the implementation of coaching and counseling for 1 day which was attended by 12 cadres, it turned out that the activity received a good response by the cadres. Cadres become more aware of early detection of breast cancer and can demonstrate how to do BSE. The conclusion of this Community Service Activity is that Cadres understand early detection of breast cancer with BSE.

Abstract

The third of young adults are medically susceptible to the disease COVID-19. Community empowerment is a strategy in preventing COVID-19.This community service aims to train and form peer educators. There are several stages carried out in youth empowerment activities, including coordinating with the parish church of Saint Gregorius Agung Jambi, at the activity site, facilitators mobilizing activity participants, conveying the aims and objectives of activities, orders from peer educator teams, training and coaching peers, discussion and questions answer and evaluate activities. The results of this training helped improve adolescents' understanding of covid-19 and had formed 22 peer educators divided into eleven regions and as an agent of change in providing health information to the public.The need for socialization and ordering of peer educators in various regions as the pioneers of the Covid-19 task force. Abstract

Cerdik behavior is a behavior that is needed to prevent various kinds of non-communicable diseases. The behavior in question is regular health checks, getting rid of cigarette smoke, diligent physical activity/sports, and a healthy and balanced diet. With the increase in knowledge related to these matters, it is hoped that it can increase awareness for the smart lifestyle in the lives of participating students at SMAN 11 Jambi City. Community service is carried out through socialization in the form of counseling on efforts to prevent non-communicable diseases with smart behavior and discussion activities for cadres to prevent non-communicable diseases with smart behavior. The results of the socialization activities to prevent non-communicable diseases with Cerdik Behavior showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of participants who participated in the activity when compared to before and after participating in the training, from 72,25 to 76,75. Statistical results (Wilcoxon Test) obtained p value = 0.019, meaning that there is a significant difference in the average test scores before being given counseling and after being given counseling. It is hoped that there will be the formation of Cadre of CerdikBehavior at SMAN 11 Jambi City and the provision of interesting pocket books by students.

Abstract

Plastic waste is one type of waste whose existence is increasing every day, almost all packaging often uses plastic. As a polymer material, plastic has several advantages such as practicality, airtightness, compactness and elasticity (stretchability). But on the other hand, plastic also has a drawback, namely the amount of waste that accumulates every day because it is difficult to decompose which takes a long time. To solve this problem, it is necessary to find a way to recycle plastic into an economically viable commodity. Alam Barajo sub-district is located in Jambi province which is not far from the center of the crowd because the villages are close to the causeway near the terminal. This area has the potential to develop creative industries. The strategic location and the promised business opportunities are the keys to developing the creative economy. The problem faced by the community, especially in the Alam Barajo District, is the amount of plastic waste, one of which is crackle plastic. Every time you buy food, goods, clothes, etc., they are always wrapped in plastic, which ends up just being thrown away. The targets are members of the Qur'an Friends in the Alam Barajo District training. The method used in the activity of processing crackle plastic waste into plastic flowers. From this activity there was an increase in knowledge of crackle plastic waste processing obtained from the pre-test and post-test with the results of 118 to 151 participants who already knew about the processing of crackle plastic waste and could practice it properly and correctly.

Abstract

Increased Unmed Need Contraception is a problem that is of concern because it will increase unwanted pregnancies which will have an impact on the health of mothers and children. Muaro Jambi Regency is the Regency with the highest unmet need for contraception in Jambi Province at 14.54% and the trend in the use of contraception is very dominating, namely pills and injections at 85.8%, which if leftunchecked will have an impact on increasing the unmed need for contraception which is even higher. This community service activity has the aim of increasing the knowledge and counseling skills of the PKK Mobilization Team in Muaro Jambi Regency in providingappropriate information regarding the suitability of contraceptive use to guide the community to make the rightdecisions in rational contraceptive use. Thereare several methods used during providing education, namely lectures,discussions and counseling assistance. This service was carried out at the Muaro Jambi Regency Village Empowerment Office with a target number of 30 PKK mobilizing teams. The results of this community service activity show that there is a significant difference in the knowledge of PKK cadres in the suitability of using contraceptives compared to before participating in mentoring (test score from 78.3 to 86.3). The application of education and counseling on the suitability of contraceptive use needs to be carried out on an ongoing basis as aneffort to improve family planning services by using rational contraceptive use.
