This community service was carried out at the Sengeti Health Center as many as 12 health cadres from each work area. This service activity was carried out by 3 lecturers and 5 students. The results showed that there was a difference in the mean knowledge of cadres from before (8.83 ± 0.937) and after education (9.92 ± 0.289) with a difference value of -4.168. In addition, there was an increase in skills both during training and after training. The need for monitoring and follow-up activities in the community.

Abstract

Community preparation in carrying out early detection of cervical cancer such as VIA examination in the form of community mobilization (Empowerment) is needed so that awareness, knowledge and ability of IVA examination targets in carrying out VIA examinations increase according to the Ministry of Health in 2015. With this improvement, it is expected to increase the coverage of VIA examinations at the puskesmas, especially in this case at the Tahtul Yaman Health Center. Community service is carried out through socialization in the form of counseling on early detection of cervical cancer and educational training activities for cervical cancer early detection. The results of the socialization of cervical cancer early detection and training on cervical cancer early detection education showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of participants who took part in the activity compared to before and after participating in the training, from 78.33 to 85.56. Statistical results obtained p value = 0.002, meaning that there is a significant difference in the average test scores before being given training and after being given training. It is hoped that there will be the formation of Educational Cadres for Early Detection of Cervical Cancer in the Work Area of the Tahtul Yaman Health Center in Jambi City and the provision of pocket books that are easily understood by the public.

Abstract

Good nutritional status of toddlers plays an important role in growth and development, especially during the golden period in the first five years. Poor nutritional status of children under five can have a negative impact on physical and mental growth, decreased body resistance, and a more serious impact is the emergence of disability, high morbidity and accelerated mortality. Based on data from the Jambi Province Dinsosnakertrans (2010), one of the health problems that often occurs in the SAD community is the low nutritional status. Problems of poverty, low levels of education and lack of knowledge in the SAD community make them susceptible to diseases that also have an impact on their nutritional status. Efforts that can be made to improve nutrition improvement programs in remote indigenous communities are to provide education and information to all tribal communities in Bukit Suban Village about the importance of balanced nutrition by making food sources that exist in nature and easy for them to find as examples and then teach how to process them. food so that it can be consumed and still contains good nutritional value. Furthermore, monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers by measuring and weighing the toddler's weight. Based on interviews with people who initially did not know about good balanced nutrition for children, now they know a little and they also know how to use food ingredients that are in their environment and how to process food properly and hygienically. undernutrition by 31.25%

Abstract

The spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is currently increasing, and it is very easy for transmission to occur, especially in an environment that is a center for gatherings. During this pandemic, schools are encouraged to do online learning, but there are some schools that are allowed to do face-to-face learning, one of which is SMA Titian Teras. This becomes very risky for an increase in the transmission of the Covid-19 virus in schools. Efforts that can be made to overcome this are education about the application of the COVID-19 health protocol. This education aims to increase knowledge and practice for teachers, educators, and students at Titian Teras High School in preventing the spread of the Covid-19 disease. This service is carried out at Titian Teras High School with a target number of 20 teachers/students/educational staff offline. This service activity was carried out by 3 lecturers and 5 students.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is one solution to minimize the risk of being contaminated with disease which aims to prevent disease in oneself and others, both physically and psychologically. The implementation of personal hygiene in the Suku Anak Dalam is still very minimal, so there is a risk of contracting non-communicable diseases such as diarrhea, malaria, intestinal worms, and hepatitis B. The absence of significant changes in health behavior from year to year has an impact on increasing morbidity rates in the Suku Anak Dalam. Therefore, assistance and empowerment are needed in optimizing personal hygiene gradually and sustainably due to characteristics, lifestyle, and lack of knowledge so that it is difficult to implement clean and healthy living behaviors. The target of this activity is the Suku Anak Dalam school age group in Bukit Suban Village, Air Hitam District, Sarolangun Regency, Jambi Province. The methods used in personal hygiene activities are brainstorming, role playing, health education, and the Movement to Embrace the Dreams and Aspirations of the Children Within (GEMPITA SAD). From this activity there was an increase in personal hygiene knowledge obtained from the pre-test and post-test with the results of 27.5% to 60% of the Suku Anak Dalam school age children who already knew about personal hygiene and could practice it properly and correctly.

Abstract

Garbage is a complex problem and is one of the sanitation problems in the Pengudang Village area. Waste management is carried out by littering or throwing into the sea and burning dry waste. This has the potential to be a source of environmental pollution for the Pengudang Village community. Organic waste that is processed properly and correctly, will improve the quality of the environment and can even increase family income. The purpose of community service is to provide education to the residents of Pengudang Village about the use of organic waste so that they can increase the knowledge and understanding of residents on how to manage household waste. The implementation method consists of the preparation stage, activity plan, activity implementation stage, implementation method and activity relevance. The results of the activity showed that the participants enthusiastically participated in the presentation of socialization material on the use of waste to the implementation of the simulation of making organic fertilizer. Participants in the socialization were involved directly in the process of making organic fertilizers. The fertilizer that has been made is applied to the plants around the residents' houses. Through this community service activity, participants gain knowledge and skills in utilizing household organic waste into organic fertilizer. Management of household waste is the main objective of the activity, so that the residents of Pengudang Village are able to manage household waste independently.
