Indonesia now deals with the issue of illegal fishing on a regular basis. The Fisheries Law includes fines as one of its penalties for anyone who engage in unlawful fishing. Applying sanctions to those who engage in illicit fishing may boost state income. However, in actuality, the imposition of penalties has brought up fresh issues with implementation. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to read and evaluate the presence of criminal penalties in Indonesian law enforcement as well as the design of criminal fines in the Fisheries Law. This study employs statutory and case-based methodologies in a descriptive manner that is consistent with normative legal research. The study's findings indicate that Articles 84 to 101 of the Fisheries Law are where penalties are defined. The imposition of sanctions for those found guilty of unlawful fishing creates additional issues. Judges continue to often penalize anyone found guilty of unlawful fishing, nevertheless. This requirement puts more strain on prisons and produces accounts receivable for the prosecutor's office, the condition's executor.

In World Literature, there are two divisions in literary work; major and minor. Therefore, confusion appears in judging literary works that belong to a major and minor one. Implicitly, when a literary work is categorized as World Literature, it can clarify its position as the major one. Meanwhile, in fact, there are some considerations in categorizing a literary work into major or minor categories. This paper attempts to analyze the position of two Nigerian authors and their works; Chimamanda Adichie, the newbie author, and Chinua Achebe, a professional author. Though Adichie’s name appears in the anthology of World Literature and most of her novel’s theme is about social and political power, she is still categorized as the minor one. This categorization is later analyzed through the concept of minor literature by Deleuze and Guattari. This research applied qualitative and descriptive research methods in comparing and describing major and minor work. As the result, it is the language, political theme, and collective value that can signify the position of the two novels.

The culmination of this research is examining various markers of lexical cohesion in the October 2021 issue of Intisari magazine. The various types of writings in the magazine have a mission to provide enlightening information for the readers. The coverage of Intisari magazine is quite broad and in-depth—covering history, geography, and tradition—allowing it to be more complete and interesting to study. Starting from aspects of form, vocabulary, sentences, inter-sentence connections, and sentence structure. This is the basis why researchers take the essence as the object of study. In his analysis, the researcher uses the Sumarlam concept as a reference for the classification of lexical cohesion markers in discourse. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with the October 2021 edition of Intisari magazine as the object of study. The data collection method used literature study with analytical descriptive technique as a data analysis technique. The results of the study showed various markers of lexical cohesion, including: (i) repetition, (ii) synonymy, (iii) antonymy, (iv) hyponymy, (v) collocation, and (vi) equivalence. Variations in the use of lexical cohesion in Intisari magazine are a form of applying the types of lexical cohesion markers in discourse.
