Abstract

This study examines green consumption behavior during Car Free Day (CFD) activities at Simpang Lima Semarang, a public space that serves as a meeting point for social, economic, and environmental interactions. This participatory case study aims to explore the forms of environmentally friendly consumption practices implemented by visitors and vendors in the open space. The method used is a participatory case study with participatory observation and in-depth interviews conducted over four weeks, involving 70 vendors and 143 visitors, with 24 informants willing to be interviewed in depth. Data were analyzed using a thematic approach to identify emerging patterns of behavior. The results show that various green consumption practices are implemented, such as the use of tumblers and cloth shopping bags by visitors, as well as the use of environmentally friendly packaging, the provision of local or organic products, and trash bins by vendors. Supporting factors include individual environmental awareness, social values, and the influence of family or community, while the main constraints are limited facilities and access to environmentally friendly options. These findings suggest that CFD Simpang Lima functions as an informal learning space for building ecological awareness through daily social interactions. This study recommends government support and community initiatives to enhance environmental literacy and the availability of green facilities in public spaces. These findings are currently limited to short-term observations, so further research is suggested to be conducted longitudinally or expanded to other cities to compare patterns of green consumption behavior in different urban contexts.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death globally. Prevention and management efforts continue to be developed to address this issue. Specialist nurses play a role as direct care providers, applying evidence-based nursing and conducting nursing innovations. Specialized medical-surgical nursing residency programs have been implemented to apply the role of nurses as direct care providers, researchers, and innovators. The role of direct nursing care providers is carried out by providing nursing care to 30 cases managed through resumes and the primary case of Coronary Artery Disease 3VD using Roy's Adaptation Model theory. This study used a descriptive quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental approach. The sampling technique employed non-probability sampling using consecutive sampling, with 22 respondents selected as the sample for EBN implementation. The sampling technique utilized non-probability sampling with consecutive sampling. The number of respondents in the EBN application sample was 22, with univariate and bivariate analysis conducted. Statistical analysis results showed a significant difference in mean systolic and diastolic blood pressure between before and after the intervention (p=0.000). Practice analysis results indicated that the Roy Adaptation Model is effective for patients with cardiovascular system disorders.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the controversy that arose due to the delivery of crude humor with a derogatory tone by the famous preacher Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman to Mr. Sunhaji, which drew widespread criticism from the public. This phenomenon is interesting to study from the perspective of Islamic preaching ethics, especially from the perspective of Indonesian cleric and intellectual, Quraish Shihab. The study aims to investigate how ethics and preaching strategies should be applied in delivering religious messages, as well as how interactions between preachers and audiences can influence public perception of the image of Islam. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach, focusing on the analysis of controversial preaching events. The results show that ideally preaching should be delivered wisely, with noble morals, inclusively, without offending certain parties, and with patience. In conclusion, the use of humor in preaching must remain within the corridor of ethics, respect human dignity, and reflect the values of Islam which are rahmatan lil 'alamin. Therefore, preachers need to be more careful in choosing a communication style so that the preaching message does not actually cause resistance or misunderstanding in society

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of religious leadership in improving the quality of superior education at Pondok Pesantren Nahdlatut Ta’limiyah Pamekasan. The background of this research is based on the importance of leadership innovation in responding to global challenges and modernization in Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the model of religious leadership in this pesantren has undergone a significant transformation from a traditional charismatic pattern to a participatory and modern managerial model that remains rooted in Islamic spiritual values. The leadership strategies implemented include curriculum reform based on the integration of religious and general sciences, institutional management optimization, and the digitalization of administrative systems. The pesantren leaders have also succeeded in developing a progressive academic culture and excellent student character through a holistic approach, exemplary leadership, and innovative learning methods. The commitment to providing free education for more than 2,000 students reflects an inclusive and socially oriented leadership value. The real impact of these strategies can be seen in the improved academic achievements of students, the increasing competitiveness of graduates, and the growing public trust in the quality of the pesantren’s education. This study recommends the implementation of a transformative religious leadership model as a solution for improving the quality of Islamic education in pesantren-based institutions in Indonesia

Abstract

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a collection of symptoms arising from excessive computer use, including eye strain, watery eyes, itching, redness, dryness, blurred vision, and neck pain or headaches. According to WHO data, approximately 40–90% of workers who use computers experience CVS, as also reported by employees at PT. X. This study aims to analyze the relationship between factors such as age, length of service, gender, use of glasses, refractive disorders, eye rest time, working duration, lighting level, use of air conditioners, and Visual Display Terminal (VDT) settings with the incidence of CVS among PT. X employees. This mixed methods study involved 120 employees who work in front of computers daily. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and observation, then analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that 78.3% of respondents experienced CVS. Significant relationships were found between age, gender, years of service, use of glasses, refractive errors, eye rest time, lighting, and VDT arrangement with the occurrence of CVS. The main protective factor was the use of glasses, while dominant risk factors included suboptimal lighting and being male. These findings highlight the importance of promotive and preventive policies, such as eye health education, implementation of ergonomic SOPs, and regular health checks to reduce CVS prevalence and improve work productivity at PT. X.
