Abstract

Road conditions affect the level of service and community comfort in supporting the economic, social, and cultural activities of the community, if road conditions do not support this it will hinder these activities. However, the problem in the field is the condition of the damaged roads and the reporting system that has not been integrated so repairs are slow. Therefore we need a systematic and integrated road condition reporting system so that the order of priority for handling road conditions is correct. Mapping the road network using a Web-based Geographic Information System is one of the solutions that can be used to overcome this problem. The method used in this study is the GIS application for mapping road conditions in the Talang Kelapa sub-district, Banyuasin district with a total of 143 Km of roads. After that, the mapping of the GIS application made a website so that users can access road conditions from anywhere with an internet network. The results of research on previous road conditions using the Surface Distress Index (SDI) method show that there are 4 categories of road conditions in the Talang Kelapa sub-district, namely: Heavily Damaged, Lightly Damaged, Moderate and Good. integrated with the Website, where the Website address https://peta_jalan_banyuasin.gis.co.id/ can be accessed.

Abstract

Jambi City moves quickly in all fields including one of its transportation activities. The negative impact of transportation activities is the exhaust emissions emitted by vehicle smoke which are toxic to the surrounding air. Air pollution that has an impact on transportation activities reaches more than 50%. The East Ring Road Section I of Jambi City is one of the national roads, where this road has a relatively high traffic volume, and when viewed visually this road is one of the roads that contribute to the large level of vehicle exhaust emissions. One of the things that trigger vehicles to become more congested due to the presence of several activity centers. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between carbon monoxide (CO) exhaust emissions and traffic volume and degree of saturation. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques used are surveys and observations. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the road capacity was 2914 smp/hour with the traffic flow on the road section exceeding the road capacity and the average DS value of 0.96 exceeding the standard based on the 1997 MKJI of 0.75. This shows that the congested road capacity cannot accommodate the traffic flow that occurs and the flow of vehicles moves with many obstacles. Based on the analysis with the correlation method and regression method between the degree of saturation and carbon monoxide gas, it was found that the degree of saturation and carbon monoxide gas has a strong relationship with the positive correlation result, meaning that if the degree of saturation increases, there will also be an increase in carbon monoxide gas.

Abstract

In the city of Jambi, there are still various places that experience puddles or floods during high rainfall which results in drainage channels being unable to accommodate excess water. Drainage is very important to cope with flooding, one of which is in residential areas, especially in the Kembar Lestari 1 Jambi Housing area, Kenali Besar Village, Jambi City. Thus, this study aims to re-analyze the condition of the drainage channel at the Jambi City Kembar Lestari 1 Housing and find out the existing condition of the drainage channel at the 1 Jambi Sustainable Twin Housing and redesign the optimal drainage channel capacity so that later the Kenali Besar River channel can function optimally to reduce flooding that causes flooding. occurred in the Kembar Lestari 1 Housing area, Kenali Besar Village, Jambi City, so that a good and quality river was created while still taking into account the safety and comfort factors for the surrounding community. In this study, the data used is secondary data in the form of daily rainfall for 10 years and cross-sectional dimension data of the drainage channel of the Kembar Lestari 1 Housing Village, Kenali Besar. The results of the calculation of the planned rainfall with a return period of 10 years is 75.795 mm⁄hour, while the planned discharge using the Rational method is obtained a peak discharge value of 9.399 m^3⁄seconds, the steps are followed by using HEC-RAS 5.0.7 software to determine the capacity of the drainage channel by using plan debit.

Abstract

This paper presents a literature review regarding road safety audit recommendations, which were published between 2014 – 2019. This study aims to conduct a literature review regarding road safety audits in various locations in Indonesia and then summarize conclusions based on the recommendations given in terms of auxiliary buildings and road equipment. From these results it can be seen the tendency of road safety audit recommendations to see the potential for traffic accidents. Qualitative method is the method used in this study, which examines the quality of relationships, situations, and activities. The results of safety recommendations from the road safety audit in terms of complementary buildings and road equipment, many recommendations are proposed based on the recommendations of the audit results, such as traffic signs, safety fences, road markings, street lighting devices, and facilities for pedestrians, for this reason it is necessary to emphasize planning consultants, service providers and owners related to the realization of these recommendations to reduce the potential for traffic accidents caused by a lack of complementary buildings and road equipment.

Abstract

In the course of the development of the world of civil construction, soil is a building material that can function as the foundation of a building structure. Clay soil is a type of soft soil with fine grain characteristics. The soil has a shrinkage property where when exposed to water it will expand according to the amount of water absorbed, but when it is dry it will shrink to its original dimensions with non-directional compaction. The consistency of clay soil does not support the safety of the building it supports. In constructing a construction, it is necessary to plan a sturdy and strong soil structure to prevent slip failure (clayey & longitudinal). The soil that often experiences problems in the construction of civil construction is clay. Therefore, a Direct Shear test was carried out at the Kadiri University Civil Engineering Laboratory. The results of this study obtained the value of the soil shear strength parameters. The direct shear strength test aims to determine the feasibility of the soil to accept construction loads, obtain parameters of the shear strength of disturbed soil or unconsolidated and undisturbed undisturbed soil. The shear strength test of the soil is carried out to determine the strength of the soil against the displacement that occurs in the soil. Based on the results of the direct shear strength test, the cohesion value was 0.330 and the shear angle value was 2.929. This value indicates that this soil is unstable, prone to landslides and is not feasible to carry construction loads

Abstract

The development of activities and the potential of the Kuala Tungkal City Market Area which has visual and physical contact oriented towards the waters is the basic issue of the starting point in making plans with an area development approach with a waterfront concept. Activities developed in the waterfront area are inseparable from the potentials of the area. This potential will also influence the motivation for the development of the waterfront concept which generates ideas in the utilization of spatial functions. The aim of the development is for the waterfront area and other functions as well as a good and clear grouping of areas according to their functions. This study uses a rationalistic approach in formulating the waterfront concept approach in the development of the Kuala Tungkal City Market area.

Abstract

The implementation of construction development is an activity that causes many elements of danger, so it has a risk of work accidents. Factors that cause work accidents, ranging from a lack of employee discipline in maintaining occupational health and safety. This identification aims to assess the risks in the Planning of the Horison Express Hotel Building Renovation Fatmawati Jakarta, using a questionnaire with a frequency value (F) and a severity value (A), the results of the identification of the IBPRP method there are work items with a moderate level of risk in the Lt. 1-4 the relative risk value is obtained with a value of 9 (medium), and the work with a high level of risk is in the Lt. Structural Work. 5-6 relative risk values obtained Value of 20 (High), the results of the identification there are 58 basic events that cause the basic risk of 26 items of work, obtained a presentation of the value of low risk level of: 50%, moderate risk level of: 46.5%, and high risk level of: 3.5%. For hazard identification methods other than using the IBPRP method, can use other hazard identification methods for research on the same theme.

Abstract

The organic content contained in the sand can affect the quality and improvement of the concrete which will slow down the concrete process. Sand originating from the Batanghari watershed is pretty much inspected in the laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering. The design of the concrete shows that the organic content of sand originating from the Batanghari river basin is quite high. There are 2 variations of the concrete test object, unwashed sand and washed sand, The source of sand from the Batanghaari river Sembubuk village, Kec. Jambi Outer City District. Muaro Jambi which refers to the British standard and ASTM C-33. The aim is to get the levels of organic impurities contained in the coarse sand of the Batanghari river and to determine the effect of medium sand on the compressive strength of concrete. The implementation method refers to SNI 7656:2012 regarding the test method for the procedure for selecting mixtures for normal concrete, heavy concrete, and mass concrete. The concrete test object is in the form of a cylinder with a size of 15 cm x 30 cm. the results of the organic dirt test for coarse sand on the Batanghari Jambi river, namely the unwashed sand is number 4 and for washed sand it is number 2 on the organic plate. The results showed that the average compressive strength of concrete at the age of 28 days on unwashed sand with a compressive strength of 26.28 MPa and at the age of 28 on sand washed with a compressive strength of 29.15 MPa.

Abstract

As the population increases, the speed of population movement also increases and the availability of proper infrastructure in crowded centers decreases. One of the problems in terms of pedestrian facilities in Indonesia's urban areas is the lack of fulfillment of pedestrian needs, both in terms of quality and quantity. The development of pedestrian facilities in Indonesia has not become a priority comparable to the development of facilities for other modes of transportation. The lack of public understanding of pedestrian path facilities indicates the need for attention from the government in fulfilling the functional needs of pedestrian paths. Because of that it is important to understand the public's perception of the need for pedestrian facilities on Jalan Veteran Lamongan. Distribute questionnaires to the community and then carry out validity and reliability tests so as to produce public perceptions of pedestrian lane facilities on veteran roads, namely pedestrian paths, which need additional attention for facilities and infrastructure. 34% of respondents said there were many deficiencies in the quality of the sidewalks, then 31% said they lacked the quality of facilities for the disabled, then 33% of respondents said they lacked the quality of accessibility, then 31% of respondents felt they lacked the level of completeness of facilities, then 33% respondents said they lacked the level of safety, then as many as 36% of respondents felt they lacked the level of security, and finally 37% of respondents felt they lacked the level of satisfaction.

Abstract

MAN 1 Payakumbuh is one of the educational institutions located in Payakumbuh. As an institution providing education with teaching and learning activities, MAN 1 Payakumbuh should be supported by adequate infrastructure and facilities, one of which is the availability of sufficient clean water. The increasing number of personnel at MAN 1 Payakumbuh from year to year, it is necessary to measure water consumption patterns. This research analyzed the number of personnel for the last five years and carry out calculations using standard usage in buildings in MAN 1 Payakumbuh . The results of this study concluded that there was an increase in water consumption patterns from year to year where in the 2018/2019 school year it was 8870 liters/day, the 2019/2020 school year was 9650 liters/day, the 2020/2021 school year was 10220 liters/day, the school year 2021/2022 is 10520 liters/day, for the 2022/2023 school year it is 10540 liters/day with an average water consumption pattern reaching 9960 liters/day. An increase in consumption patterns every year, this data can be used as a reference for the future so that in MAN 1 Payakumbuh there will be no water shortage crisis.
