Abstract

This study aims to determine traffic performance at intersections using the 2014 PKJI guidelines, so as to determine the capacity value at the intersection and the Degree of Saturation value to continue research by providing solutions to the problems that occur. This research method uses PKJI 2014 guidelines to obtain vehicle volume and road width values at the research location for further analysis. it is known that the peak hour with a total volume value (Q) of 2010.8 cur/hour, a capacity value (C) of 2203 cur/hour, degree of saturation (Dj) = 0.91, delay (T) = 15.96 sec/ cur and the value of the Queue Opportunity (PA) (65.53% - 33.22%). Judging from the results of the degree of saturation, the location of this study did not meet the requirements in the 2014 PKJI, where if the value of the degree of saturation was ≥ 0.85, a design change was required. The service level in this study was C (15.1 – 25.0) in the medium category. After re-calculation by redesigning the width of the minor road approach, moving the market, installing prohibited parking signs along the intersection approach and recommending the placement of bus routes at this research location, assuming the bus passengers are full. Then the resulting value of Capacity (C) is 2319.7 cur/hour, with a Degree of Saturation (Dj) value of 0.84. Where the Dj value meets the requirements of the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2014).

Abstract

In Indonesia, earthquakes occur very frequently. As a result of the earthquake, the safety of building structures against earthquakes really needs to be taken into account in the analysis of calculating the factor of safety. Apart from the effect of the earthquake on the superstructure, the effect of the earthquake on the substructure must also be considered. One of the substructure failures that can occur in the substructure due to an earthquake is a soil liquefaction where the soil experiences a loss/decrease in the bearing capacity of the soil as a result of the earthquake. This study used a quantitative method by conducting soil investigations and taking soil samples from the field. The results of the soil investigation will be used in calculating the potential for liquefaction of the soil layers and the axial bearing capacity of single pile foundations before and during liquefaction. At the study site, the dominant soil is loose sand with a high ground water table. The soil has the potential to experience liquefaction from a depth of 1.5 m to 13 m. This study modeled 2 pile models where both of them experienced a decrease in the axial pile bearing capacity respectively: 93% and 79%.

Abstract

In designing material requirements, it is very important to do so that the use of materials becomes effective and efficient. Building materials are an important component in producing a reliable quality building structure. One of the efforts made to ensure the quality of building materials is to carry out material tests in the laboratory. The Palembang Aviation Polytechnic materials laboratory performs the testing procedure manually using a calculator or Microsoft Excel. Manual test calculations pose potential problems (error calculation) and must be well-documented. A materials testing calculation application is made for data processing to get better results and more efficient and effective calculations. The research aims to optimize the data processing of building materials testing using an application so that it is more efficient and effective and the data can be well documented. The material was used to calculate fine aggregate and coarse aggregate tests. The research has implemented a web-based Smart Material Test application using the programming language PHP Version 7, Laravel 8 Framework, and MySQL Database to optimize material testing that is more accurate and well-documented. The results show of testing the application, as many as 50 trials for each test found no application errors, and the average calculation difference was 0.0005 or 0.01744%. Thus, the application is very useful in assisting the calculation of building material testing.

Abstract

An analysis of the seepage occurring on the dam needs to be done to determine whether the size is safe to prevent collapse on the dam body. The blanket layer is a method used in seepage control. This study discussed the effectiveness of the blanket layer method in significantly reducing the seepage on the dam body by reviewing the significant drainage and stability against the uplift. A case study of Telagasari Flood Control Dam (Bendali), which suffered a water loss due to leakage on the sewer path, was carried out by performing several scenarios of analysis based on the modelling of the addition of the blanket layer, which resulted in a 98.97% decrease in the drain discharge that occurred against the conditions prior to the drain control.

Abstract

Pursue the history of carving art in general and specifically in Jepara requires the expression of philosophy translation or transcendental approach of relationship between man and the Creator (magical inclination). The form of disclosure of the image of the most beautiful Creator becomes the intuition that is translated in the manifestations of the beauty of the works of nature. Art Carving as part of artwork in three dimensions that contain noble value from the expression of the glorification language of the beautiful image of the Creator. The salvation or preservation of the noble values of a work of carving, especially on the value of history and development in the modern era, requires a container that expresses functionally the Carving Art Gallery. Locations in Jepara as interactions of historical relationships and the development of art and educational image sustainability, as well as commercial carving furniture industry. The micro and macro demands of a Gallery complement the spectrum of manifestations in the art language of architecture and interpretation of environmental identity missions precedently. So that the design of Carving Art Gallery in Jepara embodies the functional demands of educative and commercial with more value than the art of environmental identity architecture.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country prone to earthquakes because it is located at the confluence of the Pacific and Trans-Asiatic Circum. Padang is included in the 5-6 earthquake area (KDS E & F), which is an area that has the potential for an earthquake accompanied by the possibility of a tsunami., comfortable and safe against the dangers of an earthquake or tsunami. The most influential factor in the planning of high-rise building structures is the strength of the building structure itself, where this factor is closely related to the safety and resilience of the building in holding and accommodating the loads acting on the structure. Instability in the structure is a basic thing that must be avoided and considered for various types of building heights. An unstable structure when subjected to loads causes the structure to experience a greater deformation than a stable structure. One way that can be done to make the structure more stable is to combine the structure with Shear Walls. Shear wall systems can be used to withstand vertical forces such as gravity loads and horizontal/lateral forces such as earthquake and tsunami loads, thereby preventing excessive swaying of the structure. The use of shear walls is also intended so that when an earthquake and tsunami occurs, the lateral forces that affect the structure are not only resisted by the beam and column elements in the structure but are also resisted by the shear wall system. because the placement of the shear walls that are not appropriate causes the shear forces that occur in the columns and beams to be greater. The research object is multi-storey reinforced concrete buildings with variations in height of 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20 floors. Buildings 5, 7 and 10 floors are designed with an open frame system, while buildings with floors 7, 10, 15 and 20 are designed with a double system, namely open portals and shear walls as lateral load resisters. Open portals use a Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK) design, while shear walls use a Special Structural Wall System (SDSK) design. The calculated structural loads are dead loads, live loads, superimposed dead loads and earthquake loads. Building location in the city of Padang with moderate soil conditions. The strength and stiffness of structures with shear walls are higher than those without shear walls

Abstract

Process of a construction project is knowing how much a building will cost. Like the main building, the project site facilities also require costs that are not included in the direct financing of the project. The goal is to provide detailed information on the cost of building site facilities and to serve as reference material for the preparation of RAB site facilities. Implemented in the Revetment dan Retaining Wall Harbor Benoa project, the survey it was found that this project had built a number of temporary facilities but did not clearly detail the cost requirements. The research used descriptive quantitative methods and data collection in the form of surveys, observations and interviews. Survey to measure temporary buildings at the project site and find unit prices of tools, materials and labor at shops or foremen around the project area. Observation observes the layout of the building which will be outlined in the field layout drawing. An interview with the project manager was conducted to find out the total cost of the project and the costs incurred by the contractor for construction. Data analysis using Microsoft Excel by entering all components to be analyzed. Based on the results, it is concluded that the site facilities that are built are the contractor's office, health room, motorcycle and car parking, workers' toilets, directors' and consultants' offices, LAB rooms, cement and plywood warehouses, mechanical warehouses, security and K3 posts, workers' beds, trash bins, and water reservoirs. The comparison of site facilities cost to contract is 0.253%.
