Abstract

This study concludes that children's language acquisition is strongly influenced by their living environment. Children raised in families that engage in frequent conversation tend to develop better speaking skills. The research aimed to examine the phonological pronunciation of a 4-year-old child. The study was conducted in the Baros area on May 31, 2025, using a descriptive qualitative method over a single day. Data were collected through direct observation, daily notes, and interviews with the child's mother. The subject, Fajri, is the second son of Mina and Doni. Findings revealed that Fajri could pronounce vowels clearly but still struggled with certain consonants. For instance, he pronounced the letter [S] as 'tc'. This difficulty is likely due to the immaturity of his speech organs and unfamiliarity with certain sounds.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the learning process of Indonesian language through Role Playing (RP) model by using ontology, epistemology, and axiology perspectives. The method applied in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data were obtained from 24 articles accessed through Google Scholar and the Publish or Perish application as well as the mendeley application used to cite 24 journals with the keywords “Role Playing Learning Model in Indonesian Language Learning”. For data analysis, researchers reviewed relevant research results. The results showed that in terms of ontology, Role Playing functions as a social learning method that emphasizes students' active participation in living the character, which can improve imagination, empathy, and social skills. From an epistemological perspective, the Role Playing (RP) model is implemented through structured steps, including role assignment, group formation, role-playing, and reflection and evaluation of the learning experience. Axiology in this model is proven to have a positive impact on improving speaking skills, learning participation, and building students' confidence in the Indonesian language learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dipaparkan mengenai perlawanan terhadap kekuasaan dalam novel karya Tere Liye Si Anak Badai. Kajian sosiologi sastra yang mengupas bagaimana sikap Tokoh dan Pengarang yang menggambarkan perjuangan dan interaksi sosial. Kajian ini menjadi titik penting dalam penelitian sebab tidak hanya membahas masalah sosial saja tetapi bagaimana masalah sosial tersebut terjadi di lingkungan sekitar. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan mengumpulkan data berupa analisis terhadap novel dan mengkaji fenomena sosial yang terjadi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan terdapat dua poin penting dalam fenomena sosial yaitu, Interaksi sosial masyarakat manowa dan perjuangan Geng Si Anak Badai. Maka penelitian ini dengan hati-hati mengupas bagaimana fenomena sosial terjadi di negara Indonesia tetapi diungkapkan oleh pengarang yang menceritakan fenomena tersebut.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan bagi siswa dalam menulis teks pidato. Berdasarkan observasi dan analisis yang dilakukan pada siswa SMKN 1 Kragilan, ditemukan bahwa ada beberapa faktor utama yang memengaruhi kemampuan siswa untuk menulis teks pidato dengan baik. Pertama, siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun bagian-bagian pidato secara sistematis karena mereka tidak memahami struktur teks pidato. Kedua, siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan isi pidato, terutama dalam menghubungkan gagasan utama dengan argumen pendukung secara logis dan koheren. Ketiga, mereka tidak memiliki kosakata yang cukup, yang membatasi kemampuan siswa untuk menyampaikan ide secara variatif dan tepat. Terakhir, temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa harus memperkuat keterampilan menulis pidato mereka dengan menekankan pemahaman struktur teks, pengembangan isi, penguasaan kosakata, dan penggunaan bahasa yang sesuai kaidah. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kurangnya pemahaman tentang penggunaan kata baku menyebabkan banyak kesalahan berbahasa, yang mengurangi kualitas teks pidato.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tindak tutur dalam iklan produk kesehatan Tolak Angin yang ditayangkan di televisi, dengan menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penggunaan tindak tutur lokusi, ilokusi, dan perlokusi dalam iklan untuk menyampaikan pesan persuasif dan memengaruhi audiens. Iklan memiliki peran penting dalam menyampaikan informasi dan membujuk konsumen untuk membeli produk, sehingga strategi bahasa yang digunakan sangat menentukan efektivitasnya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa pengamatan langsung terhadap iklan Tolak Angin di televisi. Data yang diambil meliputi tuturan verbal dan visual yang ditampilkan dalam iklan tersebut. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik padan pragmatis, yang menitikberatkan pada reaksi dan makna dari tindak tutur yang digunakan dalam iklan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklan Tolak Angin secara efektif menggunakan kombinasi tindak tutur lokusi untuk memberikan informasi tentang produk, tindak tutur ilokusi untuk mendorong audiens mengambil tindakan pembelian, dan tindak tutur perlokusi untuk menciptakan efek psikologis berupa kepercayaan dan keyakinan terhadap produk. Penggunaan bahasa yang persuasif dan sederhana, didukung oleh visualisasi yang kuat, membantu memperkuat pesan iklan dan meningkatkan daya tarik produk di kalangan audiens. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tindak tutur yang digunakan dalam iklan Tolak Angin berperan penting dalam memengaruhi perilaku konsumen, terutama dalam konteks produk kesehatan. Iklan yang berhasil memanfaatkan strategi tindak tutur secara efektif dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan audiens dan mendorong tindakan pembelian.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the lexical meanings of Hapax Legomena found in the book Civilization and Its Discontents by Sigmund Freud, as well as to trace their semantic relations based on the Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI) or the Great Dictionary of the Indonesian Language. Hapax Legomena refers to words that appear only once within a given text or corpus. These words are often marked by their expressive value, complex nuances of meaning, and stylistic function in constructing discourse. Therefore, this research considers Hapax Legomena as the central object of analysis to explore the semantic depth embedded in Sigmund Freud lexical choices. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature-based analysis. Data were collected from the translated Indonesian version of Freud’s book, and the Hapax Legomena identified were then analyzed using lexical semantics, referencing definitions provided in the KBBI. Further analysis was conducted to examine their semantic relations, including synonymy (similarity of meaning), antonymy (opposition of meaning), and hypernymy (general-specific relationships). The findings reveal 96 Hapax Legomena that carry literal meanings traceable in the dictionary and exhibit semantic connections to other words within the text. These results indicate that, despite their singular occurrence, such words hold significant semantic value and contribute meaningfully to the richness of the discourse. Moreover, the analysis demonstrates the potential of lexical semantic approaches in enhancing the teaching and learning of the Indonesian language, particularly in areas such as contextual meaning interpretation, vocabulary enrichment, and appreciation of authorial style. Thus, this research contributes not only to theoretical linguistic studies but also offers practical implications for language education and therapeutic communication.

Abstract

The Merdeka curriculum focuses on diverse intracurricular learning and on developing students' competencies and character so that it is more flexible and gives students enough time to learn concepts and strengthen their skills as a whole. The independent curriculum will begin in stages at SMPN 18 Bengkulu City in 2021. With the change in the curriculum in implementing it, of course there are obstacles experienced by schools and teachers at SMPN 18 Bengkulu City, especially Indonesian language teachers. Therefore, this study aims to find out what are the obstacles faced by Indonesian teachers in the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in Indonesian language subjects at SMPN 18 Bengkulu City. This research is qualitative descriptive. The data collection process uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data analysis used by the researcher is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMPN 18 Bengkulu City began in 2021. In this study, Indonesian teachers faced three obstacles: teaching module planning, classroom learning methods, student heterogeneity, differences in talents and interests that make determining differentiated learning that suits students' needs, and determining assessments that are in accordance with the material. Plus, there are many types and forms of assessment in project learning, which makes it difficult for teachers to define project-based learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning, origins, and values contained in the Toponymy of Village Names in Sukakarya District, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province, and their Implications for Indonesian Language Learning. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive research design. The results of the study of village names found in Sukakarya District include several types of naming. Naming of geographical aspects 8 data or 18%, historical aspects 15 data or 33%, religious aspects 1 data or 2% and flora and fauna aspects 21 data or 47%. Overall, there are 45 findings of village name types which are equivalent to 100%. Based on the results of research and analysis, it was found that the names of villages in Sukakarya District have various meanings and origins that reflect aspects of history, culture, and local geographical conditions. These names not only function as location markers, but also contain cultural values that can be a rich learning resource in Indonesian language learning. From the data studied, it can be concluded that village names related to natural conditions and local traditions are more dominant than names originating from historical figures or events.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the author's worldview in the novel Koplak by Oka Rusmini using Lucient Goldmann's genetic structuralism study. This study uses a qualitative method that is descriptive in nature. The data collection technique used is an analysis technique that involves identification, grouping, and data analysis. The data used is in the form of language exposure, namely words, phrases, sentences, and descriptions from the novel Koplak by Oka Rusmini, published by PT Gramedia Widiasarana Indonesia in 2019. The focus of the study covers three main topics of discussion. (1) human facts in the context of social facts, (2) collective subjects, (3) the author's worldview. The results of this study reveal human facts related to social, political, economic and cultural facts. The collective subjects contained are in the form of collective consciousness from the lower class, women in a patriarchal culture and the political elite. Meanwhile, the author's worldview highlights social issues that form a complex unity of politics, economics, and culture in the novel Koplak by Oka Rusmini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai iklan pembersih wajah garnier men acnofight dengan menggunakan analisis multimodal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis teks multimodal yang meliputi aspek linguistik, visual, audio, gerak tubuh, dan spasial dalam iklan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil meunjukkan adanya kompleksitas makna dalam iklan garnier men acnofight. Analisis visual memperlihatkan bahwa tindakan partisipan sesuai dengan tuturan narator, sedangkan analisis gerak tubuh menyoroti ekpresi gerakan partisipan yang mendukung narasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, terungkap bahwa unsur visual dan verbal dalam iklan saling melengkapi sehingga mampu menyampaikan pesan secara utuh kepada audiens
