Abstract

Rice fields have a very important meaning in efforts to maintain food security, but with the times, population growth and economic demands, the existence of food fields is starting to be disturbed. One of the serious problems currently related to food land is the increasingly widespread conversion of food land to other uses. The land that is converted is generally agricultural land because the land rent for agricultural land is relatively lower when compared to land rent for non-agricultural use. Agricultural land that has been converted includes paddy fields and dry land, the conversion of rice fields to technically irrigated land is a real threat to the resilience of food self-sufficiency. The causes of land conversion include: population growth and residential development, industrialization, construction of road facilities and economic factors. Based on these causes, this research aims to 1) determine the relationship between the characteristics and motivation of farmers in converting rice fields into gold mining land without permits in Pangkalan Jambu District, Merangin Regency; 2) To determine the relationship between farmers' motivation factors and the decision to convert land into gold mining without a permit in Pangkalan Jambu District, Merangin Regency.

Abstract

The level of farmer welfare is an important and complex topic in the agricultural and economic context. Farmer welfare not only includes financial aspects, but also social, health and environmental factors that influence daily life. This research aims to determine the level of welfare of households belonging to the women's farmer group in Pakel Jaluk Village by utilizing dry land. The basic method in this research is descriptive analytical with a sample collection method of 38 respondents. According to the GSR criteria, households belonging to the women's farmer group in Piyaman Village are classified as more prosperous with a GSR value of 0.84 (< 1). So it is better for commodities cultivated in home gardens to be replaced or supplemented with commodities that are of high value but do not require a lot of work time, such as bananas and jackfruit. Bananas have been cultivated but their numbers are still quite low. Each household records all forms of household income and expenditure so that it is better maintained or the PKK can provide training regarding household financial management.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of social media in agricultural extension activities in Central Java by analyzing research themes/topics, research methods and research results. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data processing using a literature review of three Garuda database indexed references with a publication range of 2016 - 2023. The research results show that research regarding the application of social media in agricultural extension activities in Central Java is quite good and can have a positive impact on accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness of extension and increasing agricultural productivity. The social media most often used for agricultural extension activities are WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. There is a gap between needs and satisfaction in using WhatsApp to meet the needs of agricultural instructors, but the relationship between needs and satisfaction is very strong.

Abstract

As an agricultural country, Indonesia depends on agriculture as a source of livelihood and support for development. These agricultural subsectors include food crops, horticulture, fisheries, animal husbandry and forestry. Since most of Indonesia's population works as farmers, agriculture plays a significant role in the country's income. Therefore, the agricultural sector is very important in Indonesia, including in several regions. The agricultural sector plays an important role as a provider of employment, food supplier and contributor to the country's foreign exchange through exports. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative analysis, namely data analysis is divided into two activities, namely the activities of describing data and carrying out statistical tests (inference). The activity of describing data is describing existing data in order to obtain a real form from respondents, so that it is easier for researchers or other people who are interested in the results of the research to be understood to understand it. Activities to describe data are carried out using descriptive statistical measurements. The first analysis used was multiple linear regression analysis, to see the influence between digital marketing and brand image on purchasing decisions using SPSS 20. The regression equation was used to build a relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable, so the equation in this research included: Y = 1.439 + 7,494 If the values of other variables are constant, then the purchasing decision (Y) will change by 7,494 for every unit of the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Marketing through social media is emerging as an effective tool for farmers to reach and interact with a wider range of customers, but with the low level of social media adoption among millennial farmers, systematic efforts are needed to identify barriers and opportunities that can be optimized through a more comprehensive approach. This study aims to explore the factors that influence the adoption of social media marketing among millennial farmers in Banyumas Regency using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. The research method used was a quantitative survey involving 238 millennial farmers as respondents. The variables measured include perceived entertainment, perceived credibility, reference group influence, perceived ease of use, and perceived benefits. The results showed that perceived entertainment, perceived credibility, reference group influence and perceived usefulness had a positive and significant influence on farmers' attitudes towards social media marketing, while perceived ease of use was found to be insignificant. These findings indicate that aspects of entertainment, credibility, perceived benefits, as well as reference group support are crucial in encouraging millennial farmers to adopt social media marketing. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of training programs that focus on improving digital skills and effective social media marketing strategies to support the sustainability and welfare of millennial farmers in Banyumas Regency.

Abstract

Population growth that is not balanced with the availability of agricultural land can result in shrinkage of rice fields, threatening food security and the sustainability of the agricultural sector in the region. The method used in this research is a simulation modeling method with a dynamic system approach. The simulation model was developed based on study data on population growth and reduction in forest area, as well as other factors that could influence it. Dynamic systems techniques are often used to analyze systems that have many dependencies between components. This loop shows how changes in a system element affect future changes in the same element through a series of cause and effect relationships. The increasing need for land triggers a reduction in the area of rice fields, which results in a decrease in food production. Population growth in Bantul district has resulted in the need for land, where the depreciation of rice fields has increased, resulting in a decrease in the amount of food production in the area. Projected population growth for Bantul Regency shows an increase of 10% per year, which can provide an idea of the burden faced by this region in providing services and infrastructure for its growing population. The analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between population growth and shrinkage of rice fields. The increasing need for food due to rapid population growth can put significant pressure on food security at the local level.

Abstract

As time goes by, globalization will give rise to increasingly fierce competition, so that only countries that have strong competitiveness will be able to survive, so it requires coffee producers in Indonesia to be able to meet consumer needs in a more satisfying way than in competing countries. This research aims to find out the factors that influence the competitiveness of Indonesian coffee commodities in the world market. The method used is a quantitative method using secondary data. The data analysis technique uses Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The research results show that in the partial t test results the Production Variable (X1) has a significant effect on Export Volume (Y) and the Price Variable (X2) and the Dollar Exchange Rate Variable (X3) do not have a significant effect on Export Volume (Y) on commodity competitiveness Indonesian coffee on the world market. From the simultaneous f test results, it was found that all independent variables (X) had a significant influence on Export Volume (Y) on the competitiveness of Indonesian coffee commodities in the world market. The conclusion of this research is to increase coffee production and improve quality in order to be able to increase Indonesian coffee commodities so that they can have a higher influence on the world market.
