Abstract

This paper presents about the religious politics carried out by the Bobby-Aulia couple in winning the Medan City Election. Data was collected by interviewing the informants consisting of the Bobby-Aulia pair's success/winning team. From the interviews conducted, it was found that the political religious communication strategy carried out by the Bobby-Aulia couple in winning the Pilkada was by building and strengthening power relations in religious organizations by packaging political messages promising not to be nepotism in the election of officials, and to collaborate between religious communities and make a plural society as a force in the development of the city of Medan. Using campaign jargon with religious language, namely 'Medan Berkah' to show emotional closeness to Islamic groups as the majority voters. In addition, political communication through the pulpit of da'wah by consolidating the clerics who are indirectly involved in the winning machine.

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between social media and the religious behavior of students in the Nurul Huda Kajen Islamic Boarding School. Santri in the pesantren can access social media as a place to get to know the world, but the problem is how the students use and use social media whether it is appropriate or not. This article aims to describe the usefulness and behavior of students in the Nurul Huda Kajen Islamic Boarding School in Margoyoso district, Pati regency. This article includes the field research article type with qualitative approach techniques. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the article show two behavioral models of santri after getting to know positive and negative social media. The positive is to dig up information that helps learning and negativity is the loss of santri responsibility for the behavior that has been done. The solution is for santri to be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of religion in order to maintain religious values when using social media, and away from criminal behavior.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan toleransi beragama. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama  Islam, Jurusan Tarbiyah, Sekolah  Tinggi Agama Islam Kudus. Sampel (N = 94) dikumpulkan melalui convenience sampling, dengan mengisi angket dalam bentuk skala. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan positif antara kecerdasan emosi dengan  toleransi agama.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perspective of Islamic eco-theology in the Reresik Sendang tradition in Wonosoco Village. How the people of Wonosoco Village carry out, interpret, and how the Reresik Sendang tradition is seen from the perspective of Islamic eco-theology. This research uses a type of field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques obtained through the results of observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings from this study indicate several important points: First, the tradition of Reresik Sendang is a form of effort by the people of Wonosoco Village in preserving the natural environment based on Islamic teachings. Secondly, in the implementation of the Reresik Sendang tradition, there are still rituals which are Hindu-Buddhist teachings. The community interpreted that the Sendang Reresik tradition is a form of gratitude to God Almighty, as well as a form of respect for the ancestors. Third, viewed from the perspective of Islamic eco-theology in the Reresik Sendang tradition in Wonosoco Village, there is a meeting point in it, which sees nature as a "sign" of God.

Abstract

This article specifically aims at describing Indonesia as one of the multi-religious country having a lot of various confidence and trust, but from the religious differences is able to bring about actions of radicalism. Therefore, tolerance maintenances need to emphasize to every individual, as we have already applied to the interfaith community of PANTURA. This study used a case study approach in inter-religious and belief communities of PANTURA, known as TALI AKRAB, which is one of the various religious friendship communities in the northern coasts (PANTURA) of Indonesia. The main findings in this paper include the way of instilling a multi-religious tolerance as a tool of avoiding radicalism in society, by discussing the problems of each religion and ignoring differences in the faith.

Abstract

Islam masuk di Nusantara tak luput dari peranan Ulama yang telah menyebarkan dakwah Islamnya kepada masyarakat yang ada di Nusantara. Kearifan lokal yang tidak tertinggal tetap berjalan bersama dengan Islam. Ini sangat menarik untuk dikaji karena ulama-ulama dahulu menyiarkan agama Islam dengan cara yang bisa diterima oleh beragam masyarakat dengan baik. Maka sebagai generasi yang telah hidup di zaman modern ini tidak melupakan sejarah dan peninggalan ulama-ulama dahulu. Dan kemajuan teknologi bisa dinikmati pada saat sekarang yang juga mempunyai pengaruh besar jika tidak jernih untuk menggunakanya.              Ulama di Nusantara sepatutnya untuk di contoh bagaimana cara dakwahnya untuk menyebarkan Islam di Nusantara tanpa kekerasan karena sekarang ini banyak yang mengatas namakan agama dengan melakukan kekerasan misalnya pembakaran tempat ibadah, terorisme, dan lain sebagainya. Fenomena seperti itu nyata yang bisa dirasakan pada saat ini. Maka seharusnya sebagai generasi penerus mengerti tentang peran Islam dan Ulama di Nusantara agar bisa mengenal identitasnya yang asli dari Nusantara. Agar tidak melupakan perjuangan ulama-ulama terdahulu dalam memperjuangkan Islam.            Bermula dari latar belakang tersebut penulis mengangkat tema Islam dan Ulama di Nusantara. Tema ini menurut penulis sangat menarik untuk dikaji agar dapat meneladani bagaimana peran-peran Ulama dalam menyampaikan dakwahnya di Nusantara. Adapun untuk membedakan penelitian-penelitian terdahulu penulis akan mengangkat permasalahan diantaranya adalah bagaimana Islam masuk di Nusantara, bagaimana peran Ulama dalam meyebarkan Islam di Nusantara dan permasalahan yang terakhir adalah apa sumbangan ulama Nusantara untuk masa depan Islam di Nusantara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membangun harmonisasi umat beragama.

Abstract

Media sosial memberi pengaruh signifikan terhadap perkembangan Dakwah Islamiyah. Perkembangan ini lantas membentuk pola baru dakwah, dan sekaligus melahirkan fenomena baru keberagamaan. Maraknya status dan postingan bernuansa dakwah keagamaan oleh para ‘ulama di media sosial, seperti facebook, twitter dan whatsapp, secara sporadis menyeret para user berlomba-lomba menyebarkannya sebagai upaya menampilkan kesalehan dalam ruang publik. Fenomena dakwah copy-paste dan share men-share semakin menjamur dan mengarah pada perilaku spam (menyampah), yang meresahkan sebagian user lain. Derasnya arus informasi dan kebebasan yang tidak terkontrol di media sosial terkait dakwah copy-paste ini lantas mencerminkan kedangkalan intelektual dan kemalasan beragama yang sangat mendalam, yang juga membentuk pola banalitas perilaku keberagamaan umat beragama. Tulisan ini menguji lebih mendalam terkait fenomena sosial berupa dakwah copy-paste yang diproduksi terus-menerus dan membentuk perilaku keberagamaan baru di era milenial dengan menggunakan pendekatan tindakan sosial. Teori Habitus Pierre Felix Bordiue membentuk tulisan ini menelusuri motif dari aktor-aktor sosial, yang dalam konteks ini adalah para user yang mencoba menampilkan kesalehan, namun yang tercipta adalah stigma kedangkalan intelektual disertai kemalasan dalam beragama.

Abstract

Changes in Indonesia's socio-political require Islamic organizations to adapt to these changes, some of them have managed to survive and exist and died. Revivalism in Islam is a demand from the long history of Islam's journey, which has crossed the geographical and cross-cultural boundaries of Islamic society. The survival and death of the Islamic movement is highly dependent on the ability of Muslims adapts to the socio-political landscape, like the case of the Naqsyabandiyah Tarekat in Rokan Hulu-Riau, the existence of the movement survives because it is able to adapt to the socio-cultural system of the local community. This study shows there is an interaction between Islam and the culture of the community and influences each other.  The influence that occurs is sometimes positive and negative. The influence of Islam in the local socio-political landscape can be seen from the widespread use of Islamic symbols, as well as various local government policies that adopt Islamic values.

Abstract

This article attempts to explore the Syi’ah religious thought by emphasizing on three areas, namely the field of theological belief (aqidah), methods and style of interpretation of the Quran (tafseer), and their attitude towards hadith. In addition, this paper discusses the development of Shi'ism in Indonesia. Method of data collection was done through the documentation which was then presented in descriptive-qualitative. Syi’ah is different from Suni (majority in Indonesia) in terms of the pillars of faith and the pillars of Islam. Their related Aqeedah, imamah, bada', raj'ah, and taqiyah implies on their way of understanding and interpreting the verses of the Quran. Their attitudes toward authenticity and sadnessahihan hadith also favor the transmission of ahlulbait rather than the transmission of the companions in general. Nevertheless, it turns out that Syi’ah ideology in Indonesia is still growing. The development of ideology is well-organized, supported by vision, mission, and moral foundation of humane da'wah through the empowerment of the weak and the underprivileged.
