Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student activity and learning outcomes in mathematics subjects after applying the Quantum Teaching. The research method used in this research is Classroom Action Research. The data collection technique used is observation to observe student learning activities while to see the increase in learning outcomes using tests. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis techniques were used to analyze student learning activities during the learning process. While the quantitative data analysis technique was used to analyze the score acquisition of the student learning activity observation sheet and student learning test results by calculating the average acquisition of each cycle. The results showed that the application of the Quantum Teaching provided an increase in student activity and learning outcomes. Learning activity in cycle 1 was 63.99% which then increased in cycle 2 by 79.35%. As for student learning outcomes in cycle 1 and cycle 2 of 100%.

Abstract

Coterie is a collection of sets called quorum which satisfies that any two sets have a non-empty intersection and are not property contained in one another. Based on topology, there are many types of coterie, for example, majority coterie. The majority coterie is a type of coterie with more availability than others to solve the problem of a distributed system. There are two types of majority coterie, dominated and non-dominated. The coterie join algorithm is an easy way to construct a new coterie with sizes larger quorum. In this study, we define a union operation for a majority coterie, called a cross-union operation. Then we prove that by using this algorithm, a new coterie is non-dominated if and only if the initial coteries are non-dominated.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the measurement of value at risk (VaR) in Islamic stocks using the Monte Carlo simulation. The population used in this study are companies whose shares are listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). For the selection of samples using purposive sampling with the criteria of selecting companies engaged in the mining sector, namely ADRO, ANTM, INCO and PTBA. The results showed that the difference in VaR values in each replication was caused by differences in the results of each simulation carried out, but the results were not different. far from each other because the parameters used in the simulation are the same. Therefore, in order to stabilize the results, the average value of the resulting VaR is taken. Based on the calculation results, the average value obtained is Rp. 1.132.721 at a 95% confidence level in a period of one day.

Abstract

This article discusses the Predator-prey Holling type II model involving age structure and anti-predator behaviour. The age structure is given to the predator population, which is divided into two, namely juvenile predators and adult predators, while in the prey population, there is anti-predator behaviour, namely the tendency to defend against predator attacks. The model analysis includes the determination of a fixed point, analysis of the stability of the fixed point and numerical simulation. Three fixed points were obtained, namely the fixed point of population extinction (), the fixed point of predator extinction and the fixed point of population existence. Stability analysis shows that is always a saddle while and are conditionally stable. Furthermore, it is shown that the two conditions are both stable nodes. At the end, a simulation shows that the population dynamics that occur are highly dependent on the initial conditions of the population and the value of the anti-predator behaviour parameter of the prey population.

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students' mathematical creative thinking skills on cube and cuboid material. The research was carried out using an experimental method involving students of SMP Negeri 3 Limboto Barat as research subjects. The research design used is Post Test Only Control Design. Sampling was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Measuring mathematical creative thinking ability is done using a test instrument that has met the requirements of item validity and instrument reliability requirements. The results showed that applying the Problem-Based Learning model in learning significantly influenced students' creative thinking skills on cube and cuboid material. This can be seen from students' mathematical creative thinking ability in learning using the Problem-Based Learning model, which is higher than students' mathematical creative thinking ability in direct learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' discovery abilities in the learning process and when facing problems in the material derived from algebraic functions. The research was carried out in one of the Senior high schools in Gorontalo. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI who opened 318 people. The techniques used in data collection are initial tests, interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that students' discovery abilities on the derivative material of algebraic functions varied. Some have high abilities, medium abilities, and low abilities, but in general, they are dominated by students who have moderate abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Problem-Solving learning model on students' Creative Thinking Ability with Number Patterns. This study involved 40 students as the research sample consisted of two classes, every 20 students in class A and 20 students in class B. The research method used was Experimental research with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The data collection technique was obtained through the pre-test and post-test results, and the data analysis technique used the covariance analysis test. The analysis results show that the creative thinking ability of students who are taught using the Problem-Solving model is better than the creative thinking skills of students trained using the direct learning model.
