Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of coffee production, coffee consumption and coffee export on GDP in the plantation subsector in Indonesia. This research use time series data from 1993 to 2022 with the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method. The results of data analysis based on the ARDL model show that coffee production in the short term has a positive and significant effect on GDP in the plantation subsector, but in the long term coffee production has a negative and significant effect on GDP in the plantation subsector. The coffee consumption in the short term and long term has a positive and significant effect, and the coffee export in the short term has a positive and significant effect, but in the long term coffee export has negative and significant effect. it is hoped that the development coffee will continue to be improved, so that the quality of Indonesian coffee is better well be to compete with coffee from other countries and make a major contribution to GDP in the plantation subsector in the future

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of exchange rates and inflation on fruit commodity exports in Indonesia. The study utilizes a time series dataset spanning 24 years (1999-2022) from FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), World Bank, and BPS publications. The analysis employs the ARDL (Autoregressive Distributed Lag) dynamic model using Eviews 10. The short-term results indicate that the exchange rate has a positive and insignificant effect on fruit commodity exports in Indonesia. In contrast, in the long term, the exchange rate shows a negative and negligible impact on these exports. Regarding inflation, the variable demonstrates a negative and significant effect on fruit commodity exports in the short term, while in the long term, inflation's impact is negative but insignificant.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest cocoa producers in the world. The volume of Indonesian cocoa exports tends to be stable, although various factors influence annual fluctuations. Cocoa is a leading commodity in the plantation sector that can support the Indonesian economy, significantly impacting economic growth. This research was conducted in Indonesia and aims to analyse the influence of government land area, private land area, production, and exchange rate on Indonesian cocoa export volume. The data used is secondary data (time series) for 33 years from 1990 to 2023, obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and the World Bank. This study uses the multiple linear regression analysis method. The study results indicate that the government land area, production, and exchange rate partially have a positive and significant effect on the volume of cocoa exports in Indonesia. Partially, the private land area does not affect the volume of cocoa exports in Indonesia. Simultaneously, the government land area, private land area, production, and exchange rates positively and significantly affect the volume of cocoa exports in Indonesia. The results of the analysis indicate the importance of improving the factors influencing the volume of cocoa exports in Indonesia to encourage export activities to excel in the international market.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the influence of coffee production, international coffee prices, and the Rupiah exchange rate on Indonesia's coffee bean exports. The research utilized secondary data collected from 1990-2023. This study uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method for analysis. The research findings indicated that coffee production had a positive but not statistically significant impact on Indonesian coffee bean exports in the short run. At the same time, its effect became positive and significant in the long run. Conversely, international coffee prices demonstrated a negative and significant influence on exports in the short run, but this effect turned negative and insignificant in the long run. Finally, the Rupiah exchange rate positively and significantly impacted coffee bean exports in the short run. However, its effect shifted to negative and insignificant in the long run.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effects of production volume, international prices, and exchange rates on palm oil exports in Indonesia during the period 2012 to 2023. In this study, palm oil exports are the dependent variable, while production volume, international prices, and exchange rates are the independent variables. The data used are secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the World Bank. A quantitative approach is employed, using a multiple linear regression model to analyse time series data. The results of the analysis indicate that, partially, production volume has a negative but insignificant effect on palm oil exports. In contrast, international prices and exchange rates each have a positive and significant impact on the export of this commodity. Simultaneously, the three variables contribute to the changes in Indonesia’s palm oil exports over the 2012–2023 period.
