Journal in Islamic Studies published by the Institute for Student Studies and Empowerment IAIN Purwokerto. Subjects include textual study and fieldwork with various perspectives on law, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, theology, and more. Initially, the journal only functioned as a print and electronic journal media that accommodated and published research results from theses/final assignments and/or part of theses/final assignments for students of IAIN Purwokerto S.1 and S.2, from multidisciplinary sciences. However, due to later developments with a wider audience, the journal has managed to invite scholars and researchers outside the Institute to contribute. Thus, Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have enriched studies published in journals. Although from the start Raushan Fikr did not present highly qualified scientific articles, the improvement — in terms of format, style, and academic quality — never stopped. Now with articles written in Indonesian, Arabic and English and with fair peer-review procedures, Raushan Fikr continues to publish research and studies related to Islamic studies with various dimensions and approaches. Raushan Fikr, published twice a year (1 volume and 2 numbers) in January and July, has always placed Islam and Muslims in the main focus of academic inquiry and invited comprehensive observations on Islam as a theological belief and system of society and Muslims as those who practice religion with many sides. This journal, serving as a forum for Islamic studies in Indonesia and other parts of the world in a local and challenging global context, supports theme-focused studies and interdisciplinary studies. Raushan Fikr has become a medium for diffusion and exchange of ideas and research findings, in such a way that researchers, writers and readers from various learning traditions have interacted in a scientific way.

Abstract

This study examines the partial and simultaneous effects of inflation, the BI Rate, the rupiah exchange rate, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on Non-Performing Financing (NPF) in Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia during the 2021-2025 period. Employing a quantitative panel-data approach, the study uses data from Islamic Commercial Bank financial reports, Bank Indonesia, and the Central Statistics Agency. The population consists of 14 Islamic Commercial Banks listed in the 2025 Islamic banking statistics of the Financial Services Authority, with 12 banks selected through purposive sampling based on full operational status and complete financial-report availability throughout the observation period. The data were analyzed using panel-data multiple linear regression with EViews 12.0 according to the selected estimation model. The findings show that inflation and the BI Rate have negative and significant partial effects on NPF, whereas the rupiah exchange rate and GDP have no significant effect. Simultaneously, the four macroeconomic variables significantly affect NPF, with an Adjusted R-squared value of 67.35%, indicating that the model explains most of the variation in NPF, while the remainder is influenced by factors outside the study.

Abstract

This study examines the epistemological shift in the canonization of Quranic qiraat during the period of Ibn Mujahid by analyzing the relationship between sanad, riwayah, rasm Uthmani, the acceptance of the qurra community, and Abbasid institutional-political support. Unlike previous studies that emphasize either philological or political aspects, this article focuses on the epistemological consequences of the formation of the seven qiraat. Using a qualitative library-based approach and a historical-critical method, this study analyzes primary sources, especially Ibn Mujahid's Al-Sab'ah fi al-Qira'at and Ibn al-Jazari's Al-Nashr fi al-Qira'at al-'Ashr. The findings show that the seven qiraat represent the institutionalization of Quranic recitational authority through methodological, pedagogical, social, and political considerations. This canonization produced a hierarchy of validity distinguishing accepted canonical readings from anomalous or non-canonical readings, including qiraat shadhdhah.

Abstract

Religious, cultural, and social diversity in elementary education requires pedagogical strategies that move beyond cognitive understandings of tolerance toward reflective and sustained value internalization. This study describes the implementation of spiritual journals as reflective media for strengthening multicultural values and religious moderation among elementary school students. Using a qualitative case-study design at SD Bruderan Purwokerto, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students, and analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that spiritual journals provide students with space to write, interpret, and reflect on religious experiences according to their beliefs. This practice encourages regular spiritual engagement while connecting religious experience with tolerance, empathy, respect for difference, and peaceful coexistence. The study affirms spiritual journals as relevant pedagogical-reflective media for fostering inclusive, tolerant, and moderate religious attitudes in plural elementary-school contexts

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of social interaction among Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students in the context of digital educational leadership from the perspective of the sociology of education. Using a qualitative case-study design at MI Ma’arif NU 1 Dawuhan Wetan, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 18 informants, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings reveal a shift in students’ interaction patterns from active engagement to more passive forms, indicated by reduced verbal communication, declining social sensitivity, and selective peer relationships. Although digital devices are not used in school, students’ out-of-school digital experiences significantly shape their social behavior within the madrasah. The study shows that digital technology functions as a latent social structure internalized into interactional practices. It introduces the concept of indirect digitally embedded interaction and highlights the need to balance technology integration with meaningful social interaction in education.
