In today's era, it has become easier for working parents to find childcare services because of the growing number of childcare institutions or services. However, limitations in a rural environment requires parents, especially working mothers to find childcare or caregiver substitutes in their social environment. This study aims to describe the concept of social care occurs in rural communities. This exploratory-descriptive qualitative research was carried out in Malang Regency, East Java, using the selected sample and snowball technique. The method used is semistructured interviews conducted with 3 people involved in childcare services for preschool children, and the data analysis model is taken from Miles and Huberman. The research results show that the social care concept has 3 dimensions: the mutually beneficial relationship of social exchange of childcarers and parents; carefree system of child care environment; and co-parenting mechanism. Partnership is performed voluntarily by offering the strategies used to find childcarers by increasing social cohesion in the community and involve children in activities with the social community. This study offers the strategies that can be implemented by working parents in finding childcarers in the social community by prioritizing informal kinship relations.

Employees of millennial generation are concerned about the sector since they are perceived to have less work engagement. This study used the positive psychology concept to empirically test the effect of grit on work engagement of 159 (N=159) millennial employees aged 20 to 40, with a minimum service period of one year. The method of this study was quantitative, and data collection used a questionnaire, namely the short version of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) and the Short Grit Scale (Grit-S), with 9 and 8 items for work engagement and grit, respectively. The sample used the purposive sampling technique, and the data were analyzed through a simple linear regression technique with the SPSS version 25.0 for windows. The analysis showed that grit positively affected work engagement with a value F(1.157) = 12.019, p = 0.001, R2 =0 .071, Radjusted = 0.065, and regression coefficient (β=0.603). The grit effect on work engagement was shown by the R square value of 0.071, meaning the grit variable of 7.1% influences the work engagement variation.

Implementing sexual communication between parents-adolescent is essential to protect adolescents’ sexual health. This research seeks to determine how parents-adolescents’ sexual communication was implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research utilised a descriptive quantitative research method. One hundred sixty-seven parents participated in this study and were recruited through links that WhatsApp and Facebook shared. The parents must have adolescents between 11-19 years old and unmarried. The result revealed that the communication between parents and adolescents was more intense during the pandemic. Moreover, 16% of the time dedicated to it was increased. However, only a small number of parents (11.4%) recorded conducting sexual communication with their teenagers. 88% of respondents reported that the duration their teens spent online had increased, even though 55.6% of them implemented a limit on their internet time. The t-test independent sample result revealed communication differences assessed from gender (0.019) and age (0.025). However, there were no differences in education (0.081) and residential area (0.663). The expectation of this study’s outcome could be expected as a reference for the related government institutions and private organisations to enact an intervention program for parents about the importance of sexual communication for adolescents’ physical and mental health.

Emerging adulthood will experience a phase of self-exploration and enter married life. Therefore, individuals must have an authoritarian personality to adapt to changing roles and rules. Authoritarian personality supports individuals’ married life because they must be submissive and obey the rules, values, norms, etc. This research investigated the relationship between authoritarian personality and marriage readiness in emerging adult women (Respondents number (N) =196). The technique employed was purposive sampling. The research instruments used the Authoritarian Personality Scale and the Marriage Readiness Scale. This study applied the Pearson Product-Moment hypothesis testing method. The results revealed a positive correlation between authoritarian personality and marriage readiness (r=.415, p=0.000). Besides, authoritarian personality was also correlated with all aspects of marriage readiness. For individuals in emerging adulthood, it is necessary to understand that a submissive and obedient attitude can help them to be better prepared to face a new life, namely marriage.

Interreligious conflicts can change the state system regarding religious tolerance and the emergence of terrorist behavior. In Surabaya, terrorism incidents have occurred in three Christian churches, and the alleged perpetrators are the Islamic fundamentalist group JAD. These incidents have fueled feelings of threat and fear of death, which can lead to prejudice. This research aimed to determine the role of social dominance orientation and interreligious empathy as predictors of prejudice toward Islamic fundamentalists. It used a quantitative design with a sample of 400 Christian students aged 17-24 in Surabaya. Furthermore, SDO-7, BES-A, and the Prejudice toward Islamic Fundamentalists Scales were adopted. The results showed that social dominance orientation and interreligious empathy predicted the prejudice toward Islamic fundamentalists (R=0.056; R2=0,061; F(2, 378)=12.876; p<0.001) using multiple linear regression tests. Social dominance orientation did not significantly predict prejudice (t= -0.91426; p=0.361), unlike interreligious empathy (t=4.365; p<0.001). Therefore, intergroup relations need to consider interreligious empathy in reducing prejudice.

This study aims to determine the role of personal growth initiatives (PGI) in psychological distress among undergraduate students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study hypothesizes that there is a role of PGI in psychological distress among undergraduate students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Respondents in this study were 200 active undergraduate students in Indonesia. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The measuring instruments were the General Health Questionnaire-12 (GHQ-12) and the PGI scale. The results show that PGI had a significant role in psychological distress, with F(1.198) = 13.784, p= 0.000, R2 = 0.065, and R2 adjusted = 0.060. The regression coefficient (β = -0.175) indicated that an increase in PGI, on average, could decrease the psychological distress score by 0.175. Thus, the hypothesis proposed in this study can be accepted.

The study aims to determine whether counseling based on Al-Fatihah psychology can reduce student academic stress due to the covid-19 pandemic. This experimental pre-post design study comprises the experimental and control groups. The participants are 23 people selected using the purposive sampling method. The experimental group consisted of 11 people and was given treatment in counseling based on Al-Fatihah psychology for 4 weeks in 5 sessions. The academic stress scale was given to both groups as a pre-test before the treatment started in the experimental group. In contrast, the academic stress scale was given as a post-test after the last session. The data analysis's result using the Mann-Whitney U test on the gain score between the experimental and control groups showed a significant difference with p (0.022) <0.05. This indicates that counseling based on Al-Fatihah psychology effectively reduced students' academic stress levels during the pandemic.

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on changes in the work environment, which has shifted from traditional to digital. Many companies have started implementing remote work systems (telecommuting). The telecommuting work system cause employees to be able to adapt to new work rhythms and face all other obstacles. The impact of the pandemic presents a challenge for companies in maintaining employee engagement to survive in an uncertain environment. Therefore, this study aims to test occupational self-efficacy's predictive power on employees' work engagement who work telecommuting during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative approach with simple linear regression statistical analysis. In this study, 130 participants were found as active employees who worked at least two years in companies, had experience telecommuting during the pandemic, and were located in JABODETABEK. The results of simple linear regression showed that occupational self-efficacy was significantly able to predict 43.5% of the variance of work engagement (R2= 0.435, F (1, 128) = 98.698, p < 0.001).

This study aims to (1) investigate the dyadic friendship domain and (2) test it as a predictor of a friendship dependency level. The study was conducted in two stages: Study I and Study 2. Study I explored four friendship domains by using an indigenous psychological approach. Study 2 predicted the dyadic codependency level based on the finding of Study I by implementing an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with a Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) model conducted in 25 experiments (5 hidden layers x 5 epochs). Data collection was carried out using five open-ended questions and one closed-ended question in Study I; and the Investment Model Scale adaptation questionnaire (13 items; α = 0.832) in Study 2. Study 1 and Study 2 were conducted at a time on 268 respondents (52 male, 216 female). The finding of Study I showed that friendship starts from: (a) the initial contact, which was based on the proximity factor (48.51%), (b) closeness, which was based on personality factors (36.19%), (c) the most frequent activities carried out together in the form of hanging out (52.61%), and (d) the reason for fear of losing a partner due to personality factors (29.48%). Study 2 revealed that friendship dependency level can be predicted by four friendship domains with an accuracy level of 58.35%, in which the initial contact and joint activity domain was of higher importance than the two others (epoch = 5000; hidden layer = 4 units). The overall findings showed that the dyadic codependency level not only can be calculated after friendships are formed and developed but also can be predicted from the initial stages of a relationship when acquaintanceship occurs.

Temporary employees in Indonesia have less certainty over their recent and prospective careers. This study aims to investigate whether the Intolerance of Uncertainty (IU) may predict personal initiative (PI) and subsequently affect work performance (WP). It was hypothesized that there was a direct and indirect relationship between IU and WP, through the PI. The Purposive sampling technique was utilised in this research. The sample comprised 153 temporary employees who have been working in their current contract for more than six months Data was gathered through The Intolerance of uncertainty-12 items, Personal Initiative Scale, and Individual Work Performance Questionnaire and analyzed through Mediation analysis from PROCESS. The result reveals that IU does not have a direct relationship to WP (effect = -0.1450, p = .187), however, IU indirectly predicts WP through PI (effect = -0.1510, LLCI = -0.3251, ULCI = -0.0079). Temporary employees who report higher IU will have less PI (effect = -0.1254, p =0.0259), and eventually, their work performance will decrease (effect = 1.2042, p < 0.001). This research has some implications. First, during the employees’ recruitment process, the organisation need to consider the IU as a predictor of WP, and the government need to ensure that the companies abide by the Indonesian Labour Law – Act 13 of 2003 related to employees' welfare.
