Abstract

The rate of population growth that increases every year is accompanied by the level of public consumption, which can trigger an increase in waste production which impacts the community. Therefore, the research objectives were 1) to identify the potential for waste management in Kutasari Village, Baturaden District Banyumas Regency; 2) analyze the business feasibility of a waste in Kutasari Village, Baturaden District Banyumas Regency from a financial perspective; 3) identify the driving and inhibiting factors in waste bank management management in Kutasari Village, Baturaden District Banyumas Regency; 4) identify stakeholders involved in waste bank management management in Kutasari Village, Baturaden District Banyumas Regency, and 5) formulate a waste bank management model management in Kutasari Village, Baturaden District Banyumas Regency. The research method was a mixed-method of the business feasibility method and the Miles and Huberman method. Furthermore, the determination of research location used the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the waste bank was an alternative solution in waste management. Financially, this business was feasible to run. It could be seen from the R/C ratio value, which was 1.41. The driving factor in the management of waste banks was public awareness of the economic value of waste. In contrast, the inhibiting factor was the lack of community participation in innovation. Stakeholders involved in waste bank management were local governments, private institutions, universities, collectors, and the community. Then the formation of a waste management model is expected to improve the community's economy. In addition, this model sought to empower the community to increase household income sustainably.

Abstract

Multi-group conflict occurs when community groups with different interests from other groups have a variety of priorities for each resource and the development of management policies. Likewise in the dynamics of conflict between industry players and the community in defending their every interest. Conflict complexity basically includes various combinations of power, value and economic resources. Related to complexity which is often beyond the authority of institutions in general and there are standard procedures that have been carried out so far, to build consensus from various stakeholders, it is necessary to have a resolution by conducting a collaborative approach involving various other constituents. This collaborative approach in groups needs to be carried out dialogically in order to get an understanding between the conflicting groups. Then, among others, they reach consensus to achieve the desired resolution between the interests of stakeholders.

Abstract

Indonesia has a very large area of oil palm plantations, one of which is the island of Sumatra. However, in processing and handling palm oil product waste in the form of palm shells, it has not been maximized. Therefore, the chemical decomposition process can play an important role in supporting waste management and sustainable energy use in Indonesia which is not yet optimal. In this research, the proper use of power will be tested with the help of microwaves as a reactor for the co-pyrolysis process of oil palm shells and polystyrene plastic. The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate power to produce maximum co-pyrolysis products and to investigate the physical characteristics of the oil-pyrolytic products. The test uses a microwave oven which has a power variation of 300 W, 450 W, 600 W, and 800 W with the addition of a catalyst. The ratio of the composition of oil palm shells to polystyrene plastic is 1:1 with a total mass of 105 gr and using coconut shell charcoal as an activated carbon absorber. The pyrolysis temperature is 500 ℃, the nitrogen gas flow rate is 1.5 LPM, and the pyrolysis time is 60 minutes. Furthermore, testing the physical properties of the pyrolysis oil product in the form of density, acidity, and viscosity testing. The results showed that the optimal power to obtain oil-pyrolytic was 600 W with a product oil of 17.6%, and from the physical properties it had a low viscosity value of 2.55 mPa.s with a pH level of 6.6.

Abstract

Personal protective equipment (APD) is a piece of equipment that must be used when working in accordance with work hazards and risks to maintain personal safety in dealing with Covid 19 patients. The factor causing non- compliance in using level 3 complete APD is lack of vigilance in protecting your self because when using level 3 APD you feel uncomfortable, irritable, and not free to take action. This study aims to determine the relationship between compliance with the use of APD with confirmed cases of Covid 19 for nurses. This research used cross sectional method. The sample technique used was total sampling . The population in this study was 23 respondents. The independent variable was compliance’s nurses used of Personal protective equipment (APD) and the dependent variable used was the nurse was confirmed COVID 19 in the COVID 19 isolation ward. The data collection used was questionnaires, observations, and the results of the Covid 19 antigen swab. This study used the chi- square test with a significance level of p<0,05. The results of this study indicate that there was a relationship between compliance with the use of APD whit confirmed cases of COVID 19 in nurses in the COVID 19 isolation ward, the results obtained are R = 0.154 (p = 0.00) then it means that H1 there was a relationship between compliance with the use of Personal protective equipment (APD) with confirmed cases of COVID 19 in nurses in COVID 19 isolation ward. The higher the level of compliance with the use of APD by nurses in the COVID 19 isolation ward, the lower the number of confirmed cases of COVID 19 with evidence of negative antigen swab results. It is hoped that nurses in the COVID 19 isolation ward will always be vigilant and comply with the use of level 3 APD and always seek information related to the service of the risk of infection contracting COVID 19 through mass media, seminars, and training.
