Abstract

The escalation of aquaculture production in Indonesia generates substantial fish waste, contributing to odor and environmental pollution. This community service program at Poklahsar Naminasang Farm & Co., Mandalamekar Village, aimed to educate partners on converting fish mortality waste into Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) through controlled anaerobic fermentation, supporting circular economy principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A participatory-narrative approach was implemented through problem identification, stakeholder coordination, module development, and intensive training involving Poklahsar and Eggpartment partners. The results demonstrated a substantial improvement in participants’ knowledge, with post-test scores reaching 100% and a net knowledge increase of 74.20%. The program also enabled participants to understand strategies for reducing accumulated organic waste by 75%, minimizing odor and pathogen risks, and supporting organic agriculture. Furthermore, the village website was utilized as a digital promotion channel to strengthen the market potential of the resulting organic fertilizer as a green community-based initiative.
