Abstract

In the era of digital transformation, backend development skills are crucial for students, especially in the field of information technology. This community service activity aimed to provide students with fundamental understanding and skills in building REST APIs using Laravel 12, a modern PHP framework widely used in the industry. The activity, titled “Building Your First Backend Project With Laravel 12”, consisted of two sessions: a webinar that introduced the MVC architecture, Laravel installation, and REST API structure, and a hands-on workshop focusing on configuring the project, database connection, and implementing CRUD endpoints. The event was conducted online and attended by 20 participants from various institutions. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test assessments, as well as a feedback questionnaire. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of backend development using Laravel. Most participants expressed satisfaction with the materials and the presenters. This activity is expected to serve as a model for

Abstract

The drying system for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (PKP-PK) study program is essential to maintain hygiene and prevent mold growth due to storing damp equipment. To address this issue, a prototype of an automatic drying rack based on Arduino UNO was designed to operate according to weather conditions and clothing moisture levels. The system uses a rain sensor (FC-37), light sensor (LDR), and moisture sensor (YL-69) as input components, and a servo motor (Tower Pro SG90) to move the drying rack. Weather and clothing status information is displayed in real-time on an I2C 16x2 LCD. Test results show that the system can automatically and responsively adjust the drying rack's position based on sensor data, effectively aiding the PPE drying process while reducing the need for manual monitoring.

Abstract

This study discusses the design and development of a Drain Hose Equipment to improve the maintenance of fire hoses in the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) unit at Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug. The equipment addresses the limitations of manual draining methods, which often leave residual water inside hoses, leading to mold, corrosion, and reduced service life. By applying a gravity roller system integrated with a trolley, the tool efficiently removes remaining water without requiring external power. This research adopts the Research and Development (R&D) method, starting from observation to product validation. The results indicate increased efficiency, reduced labor effort, and faster operational readiness. Although the equipment performs well, further refinement is needed for uneven field conditions. This innovation contributes to safer and more sustainable equipment maintenance and may be applicable to other emergency response industries.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive multimedia-based learning application designed to introduce letters, numbers, and colorful images to early childhood learners. The development model employed is the ADDIE model, which consists of five systematic phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The analysis phase began with identifying field needs, followed by the design of learning media, development of a desktop-based application using Eclipse IDE and the Java programming language, and database integration using MySQL. The trial was conducted at TK PGRI Godong, involving 30 students as research subjects. Evaluation results indicate that the application has a positive impact on students’ understanding, with an overall average score of 93.3%. Validation by content experts (kindergarten teachers) yielded a feasibility score of 92%, while media experts gave a score of 88%. Classroom observations showed that students were more enthusiastic, focused, and better able to understand the material compared to conventional methods. Based on these findings, the learning application is deemed highly feasible and effective as a supporting medium in early childhood education.

Abstract

The Department of Population Control, Family Planning, Women Empowerment, and Child Protection (PPKBP3A) of Kampar Regency faces challenges in managing Official Travel Order Letters (SPPD) due to the manual nature of the current process. This manual system has led to several issues, such as lengthy processing times, unintegrated approval flows, delays and errors in reporting, as well as difficulties in document storage and retrieval. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Official Travel Order Information System (SPPD) to enhance the efficiency of official travel management within the department. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, which includes sequential stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The development process utilized the Laravel framework and PHP programming language. To ensure that all features function as expected by users, the system was tested using the Black Box Testing method. The result of this research is a functional information system that successfully passed the functional testing and is capable of simplifying the submission, creation, approval, and archiving processes of SPPD. The implementation of this system is expected to improve work efficiency, speed up administrative processes, and reduce errors and reliance on manual procedures at the PPKBP3A Office of Kampar Regency.

Abstract

Application Approval of Apartment Unit Land Titles application system is a system designed for the Regional Office of the National Land Agency of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta and the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta as a form of collaboration in managing and approving apartment unit land titles, where this application is made web-based using a MySQL database. As a government agency tasked with serving the community, ease and efficiency of service time are important factors in serving the community. In designing the application system for application validation, the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is used because this method is able to meet the needs for rapid application development that focuses on quality and meets the needs of the end user.

Abstract

The agricultural sector supports economic growth, with cultivation essential for food production. Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) require stable temperature and humidity to thrive. In Kendal Regency, oyster mushroom farmers still rely on manual spraying, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. To address this, a monitoring and control system was developed using a DHT22 sensor and Wemos D1 R1 microcontroller connected to IoT. This system enables real-time temperature and humidity monitoring via an Android app, allowing farmers to check conditions remotely and efficiently manage the oyster mushroom barn environment.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenge of providing accurate and efficient used car recommendations at Jaya Raharja Motor showroom, which previously relied on conventional methods. A web-based decision support system was developed using the MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis) method and the Agile Scrum approach. The system successfully ranked 21 used car alternatives, with the Vellfire ZG (A17) achieving the highest score of 0.09149, making it the top recommendation.

Abstract

Aviation safety is a top priority in the aviation industry, including airport rescue and fire fighting training activities in vocational education institutions such as the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Curug (PPIC). The Steyr 91 Rosenbauer training vehicle used in firefighting simulations still relies on analog indicators to monitor water levels in the tank, which are often inaccurate and disrupt training operations. To address this issue, this research developed an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Integrated Monitoring System capable of monitoring water levels in real time, both locally through OLED and LED/Buzzer indicators, and remotely via an IoT Cloud dashboard. The system utilizes the JSN-SR04M ultrasonic sensor and ESP32 microcontroller designed to operate independently, efficiently, and responsively under critical conditions. The research method applied is Research and Development (R&D) level 3 with validation and effectiveness testing. The test results show that the system functions accurately and provides effective early warnings. This innovation is expected to improve training efficiency and safety in ARFF (Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting) and serve as a technological model adaptable for other firefighting vehicles.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based procurement system to enhance efficiency and effectiveness at PT. Mitra Bangunan Abadi. The current manual process causes delays, approval bottlenecks, and limited reporting transparency. Using the Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM), system development was carried out iteratively based on user needs. Needs analysis through interviews and observations identified issues such as difficulty in tracking requests, frequent approval delays, and potential data duplication. The proposed system automates procurement, streamlines approvals, and provides real-time transparency. Results show improved process speed, data accuracy, communication, and decision-making, making procurement more structured and efficient.
