Even though this journal held by Islamic Institute, the article published would not only refer to Islamic perspective but also to various topic about gender and children. Abstract

Studi tentang Madura dan dimanika masyarakatnya selama ini sangatlah menarik. Masyarakat yang agamis dan cenderung egaliter banyak menjadikan pola perilaku masyakatnya sangat kelihatan dalam kehidupan.  Masyarakat yang agamis ini ternyata bertolakbelakang dengan wilayah alam madura yang gersang, menjadikannya masyarakat harus bekerja dalam mengolah alamnya untuk kehidupan. Salah satu yang menjadi kekhasan madura adalah Tanaman Tembakau. Tanaman yang menjadi unggulan dari pulau Madura ini rupanya banyak menyimpan pertanyaan dari mulai menanam hingga terkenal di pasaran seperti saat ini. Tulisan ini mencoba menjabarkan bagaimana Tembakau dan hubungan para pedagang dalam arus jual beli di pasaran.

Abstract

Wayang kancil adalah salah satu kekayaan budaya yang tidak banyak dikenal oleh orang Indonesia akan tetapi banyak dikembangkan sebagai media pembelajaran anak usia dini di luar negeri seperti Inggris, Jerman, New Zealand, Kanada, dan Belanda. Dalam catatan sejarah, wayang kancil digunakan sebagai media dakwah oleh Sunan Giri dan pembelajaran nilai-nilai kehidupan oleh para pujangga. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggali sejarah wayang kancil dan keberfungsiannya sebagai media pembelajaran bagi anak-anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka. Hasilnya adalah wayang kancil menjadi warisan budaya Indonesia yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah. Menurut penelitian yang sudah dilakukan, wayang kancil menjadi media pembelajaran efektif bagi anak-anak karena sifatnya yang interaktif dan dekat dengan dunia anak. Pementasannya dapat dilakukan secara formal dan non formal baik di sekolah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, wayang kancil dapat digunakan sebagai media alternatif pembelajaran sejarah sekaligus sebagai upaya untuk melestarikan warisan budaya Indonesia.

Abstract

The objectification of women has been perpetuated from time to time, generation to generation, in various forms, even in a very subtle form so that women do not feel that their bodies have been reduced into something passive, no more than a gender object, dwelling to sexual desire and exploitation of women’s bodies. In Indonesia, the writings presented by mass media have been conditioned into “male patterns”. Besides mass media, the world of literature also recognizes women as a magnet of a story, in a short story or novel. This thing perpetuates women’s position as objects in literary works. The narrations about women in short stories and novels are constructed to fulfill the standards set by patriarchy through narrations about women. It is undeniable that male domination seems to have penetrated into women’s lives, even to the smallest things. Consciously or not, women always walk on the paths that have been set by men. In modern era like today, many women still stand under male domination as if they do not have the rights of themselves and their bodies. The narrations about objectification of women are found in Lipstik short story by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. In this short story, women are constructed to be passive objects, they are narrated as objects of oppression and body exploitation conducted by men.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the formation of women's position in the novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. This study also aims to determine the reasons behind the placement of the women's positions which are depicted in the novel. This novel is a classic romance novel one of the realistic writings written by Jane Austen that describes the position of women based on their social status. The intersection theory is used to see the process of forming the positions and reasons behind it. In this case, the determination of these positions is formed through social class, identity, abilities (skills) and physical form that women have. The intersection case studies that shape women's identities are influenced by history, culture, and ideology, as well as the representation of this discourse, giving women the treatment of gender discrimination, oppression, and oppression.

Abstract

This research aims to identify rasialism and its relation to the film of Dear White People. This research use an feminism approach by using intersectionality theory. Intersectionality is used to analyse the production of power and processes between gender, race, ethnicity etc. If a Black woman is harmed because she is in an intersection, her injury could result from sex discrimination or race discrimination. Racialism in the film Dear White People not only a racial prejudice by a man to woman. It’s also many problem racial prejudice or discrimination by a woman to woman, even by women to a man. For example, a racial prejudice from white woman to a black man. Rasialism in the film has been a dilemma not only for blacks, also white. It’s because of racial prejudice and discrimination by each others.

Abstract

Individual cannot be described by taking one single category because basically every individual has multiple identity. There is no single identity will ever be found in men or women. There will be an intersection between sex and other social categories such as social class, age, race, ethnicity, religion, education, skin color, and other categories not yet mentioned. Intersection is an approach explaining that every human never has a single identity. People carry their identity and other aspects that actually construct the intersection as a combination of the identity they have. Intersection is something liquid and influenced by both internal and external aspects as well. Internal aspects are the identity carried by the subjects, while external aspects are the contexts of place, time, power relations, and momentum. In Clara Atawa Wanita yang Diperkosa short story by Seno Gumira Ajidarma, the researcher found an intersection of identity had by female main character, Clara. This intersection is formed by three things, they are sex, ethnicity, and social class. These three things cannot be separated as they have formed a single unity refering to the identity of Clara. The intersection occurs because the barriers between the categories of identity are opened. The rape experienced by Clara in this story is not a rape by sex, but a form of oppression to certain ethnicity (Chinese) and social class.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse criminal law supremacy in a case of fighting against human trafficking. The problem of criminal law that relates to child trafficking is extremely serious and never-ending in this country. This case becomes an evaluation to reconsider the criminal law enforcement in Indonesia. Several legal solutions are executed by criminal law enforcement within the collaboration with the social communities and other countries to handle the problem of child trafficking. The concept of restorative justice and civil law protection is needed to be implemented by involving all parties, including parents as a family member. This study uses legal research as an approach and to gather the data; a legal settlement in handling child trafficking involves children and parents. Throughout this study, normative and empirical juridical approaches are used. It can be a great compatible recommendation and solution for handling the increase of child trafficking. On the other hand, from this study, it can be seen that the performance level of the individual that concerns on law enforcement process in Indonesia has implemented the paradigm of restorative justice in criminal law enforcement based from data that show an increase of child trafficking. Indicators of criminal law enforcement as a baseline to solve the child trafficking problem are about the level quality of legal protection of children. The role of family, law enforcement, government, NGO and social community leaders is very crucial to maintain the effectiveness of restorative justice and law protection of children involved in human trafficking in Indonesia. The involvement of parents by selling their children or getting their children as an entity in case of debt transaction causes the weakness of restorative justice and law protection of children in the problem of child trafficking. The significant results from this research are that criminal law enforcement against child trafficking that involves parents can improve the legal protection for future criminal law enforcement in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji mengenai pemikiran Masdar Farid Mas’udi tentang hak reproduksi wanita. Untuk memahami pemikiran Masdar Farid Mas’udi, penulis menelusuri serta memahami karya-karya beliau yang berhubungan dengan  hak reproduksi wanita. Pemikiran Masdar Farid Mas’udi lebih menekankan pemahaman maqhasid al-nash dari pada zawahir al-nash. Menurut Masdar Farid Mas’udi, hak-hak antara suami-istri dalam keluarga mempunyai derajat yang sama begitu pula dengan kewajiban-kewajibannya. Dalam hal pemikirannya tentang hak- hak reproduksi wanita, Masdar membaginya dalam beberapa hal. Mengenai hak wanita dalam memilih pasangan, hak wanita dalam menikmati hubungan seksual, hak wanita dalam menentukan kehamilan atau memiliki keturunan, hak wanita dalam merawat anak, hak wanita dalam cuti reproduksi, kemudian yang terakhir adalah hak wanita dalam menceraikan pasangannya.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menggambarkan tentang peran orangtua dalam memberikan pengaruh terhadap sikap anak dalam menerima kelebihan dan kekurangan yang dimiliki dikenal dengan istilah penerimaan diri atau self-acceptance. Pengetahuan yang diperoleh anak akan penerimaan diri tentunya juga tidak terlepas dari tingkat pengetahuan orangtua, pola asuh yang diterapkan di rumah, dan berbagai faktor yang menyertainya. Kepedulian akan penerimaan diri atau self-acceptance pada anak pelru melibatkan peran orangtua namun selama ini guru yang sebagai poros dalam membentuk sikap penerimaan diri pada anak usia dini. Dilihat bahwa dari segi waktu orangtua lebih sering bersama dengan anak dibandingkan guru namun jika dilihat dari fenomena di lapangan kebanyakan anak lebih mengikuti apa yang disampaikan oleh guru dibandingkan orangtua. Tentunya ini perlu dikaji lebih lanjut sejauh mana peran orangtua dalam pembentukan penerimaan diri pada anak usia dini sehingga nantinya anak memiliki kesadaran dalam menerima kelebihan dan kekurangan pada dirinya dan mampu merasakan Bahagia di hidupnya. Lingkungan tentunya akan memainkan peran dalam mewujudkan seorang individu yang unggul, berkarakter, dan humanis.

Abstract

AbstractThis study explains the preventive measures taken by families to prevent sexual abuse. While the majority of people still think that only mothers are responsible for caring. Not all fathers understand that between father and mother have the same portion of parenting. Therefore, this study aims to determine the role of fathers and mothers in providing sex education as a preventive measure to prevent sexual crimes. This research method uses literacy studies. The results of this study indicate that the roles of fathers and mothers in preventing sexual crimes can be divided into two broad lines. The first plays a role in building children's feelings, the second plays a role in giving skills to children when facing danger. When a child has got these two roles from father and mother, he will be able to feel that he is valuable and able to avoid sexual abuse. AbstrakTulisan ini menjelaskan upaya preventif yang dilakukan keluarga untuk mencegah terjadinya kejahatan seksual. Sedangkan mayoritas masyarakat masih beranggapan bahwa yang bertugas mengasuh hanya ibu. Belum semua ayah memahami bahwa antara ayah dan ibu memiliki porsi yang sama dalam pengasuhan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran ayah dan ibu dalam memberikan pendidikan seks sebagai upaya preventif mencegah terjadinya kejahatan seksual. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi literasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran ayah dan ibu dalam mencegah kejahatan seksual dapat dibedakan menjadi dua garis besar. Pertama berperan dalam membangun perasaan anak, kedua berperan dalam memberi keterampilan pada anak ketika menghadapi bahaya. Ketika anak telah mendapatkan dua peran ini dari ayah dan ibu, ia akan mampu merasakan bahwa dirinya berharga dan mampu menghindar dari tindak kejahatan seksual. Keywords: sexual abuse, father roles, mother roles
