Abstract

The main objective of this Community Partnership Program (PKM) was increasing the competency of teachers in making computation using a software. It was aimed at simplifying the teachers to verify the answers of problems related to the topic they teach in classroom. It stemmed from the problems, namely, the instructor for the software was still limited and the softwares commonly they used were not practical. It caused the incompetency of the teacher   in operating a software, i.e. Wolfram Alpha for computation. Therefore, it is necessary to make a training program that can facilitate the teachers in operating Wolfram Alpha software. Specifically, the activity can develop the ability of the teachers in making computation for solving problems in mathematics and natural science. The outcomes of the program are that the participants were enthusiastic to the activity given. They frequently consult to the instructor when there are some problems occurring in the training related to Wolfram Alpha. Finally, the teachers are able to make computation using software.

Abstract

The problem experienced by the people in the Sabbangparu sub-district today is that the well water that is in the home environment does not fulfill the requirements as drinking water, which is very murky physically containing soil elements with high iron and manganese content. In addition, river water taken directly through the pipe connection is also turbid and not yet through the purification filter. The community takes river and lake water for household consumption only to be collected and deposited which will be used for various household needs such as drinking, bathing, washing and other purposes. The limited supply of clean water that meets health requirements, both physically, biologically and chemically shows that there is a need for appropriate technology to treat water adapted to environmental conditions. For this reason, through science and technology activities for the community, it is expected that there will be an increase in public knowledge about water treatment techniques that are not feasible to be used, namely by making a clean water treatment system. The approach method that will be used is counseling, workshops and coaching / mentoring. Thus the output of science and technology for this community is (1) technique or. Safe, easy and inexpensive water treatment methods. (2) Household-scale water treatment equipment with a capacity of 500 liters, (3) Septic tank models and environmentally-friendly infiltration, (4) Published articles.

Abstract

Electricity needs are still dependent on electricity supply from PT. PLN and the cost are very expensive for people in rural areas so that it is necessary to look for other alternative energy that is easy to obtain and environmentally friendly namely energy derived from biogas by building a biogas power plant where biogas is produced by biogester. Biogas is a substitute for fuel oil, to run a generator to produce electricity. The electricity produced can be used as a source of electrical energy in rural communities. The use of electricity from biogas power plants is used for household electricity needs and the use of machine tools for fruit processing used in UMKN (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises).
