Abstract

The use of bulbs often reduces the quality of the results because the seeds often carry pathogens and reduce the productivity of shallots. One of the factors that causes the decline in the production of this plant is the lack of appropriate and effective cultivation technology. A potential solution is to improve seed quality by using organic fertilizers, especially PGPR fertilizers. This study aims to determine the concentration and type of PGPR that affect the growth of shallot seeds. The research method used was a randomized block design consisting of two factors, namely; PGPR concentration consisting of three levels, namely 10 ml / l (K1), 20 ml / l (K2), and 30 ml / l (K3). The second factor is the type of PGPR consisting of 3 levels, including: mimosa pudica roots (P1), bamboo roots (P2), and elephant grass roots (P3). The results showed that the PGPR concentration of 20 ml / l (K2) gave the best effect on the parameters of plant height and leaf length. Among the types of PGPR, bamboo roots (P2) gave the best results on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves and leaf length. There is also an interaction between the concentration and type of PGPR on plant height and leaf length parameters.

Abstract

The agroindustry is a key driver of Indonesia's economy, especially in small and medium enterprises. One of the most widely consumed agroindustrial products is tofu, which has a high consumption rate among the population. This study want to measure the value creation by the tofu industry at UD Sri Rahayu, Bunyu Island, North Kalimantan, and its impact on neighborhood economy. This study utilizes qualitative analysis and value-added assessment. The findings reveal that each kilogram of processed soybeans yields 1.5 kg of tofu, with an added value of IDR 8,495 per kg. About 25.25% of the added value is allocated to labor, while 74.75% contributes to the business owner's profit. Given the high profit margin, this industry has the potential for further growth through improved production efficiency and product diversification. This research aims to offer valuable perspectives for tofu entrepreneurs and policymakers to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of Indonesia’s tofu industry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dampak alih fungsi lahan pertanian terhadap produktivitas petani baik dalam lingkup ekonomi,sosial dan lingkungan pada wilayah penelitian kemudian untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan akibat terjadinya alih fungsi lahan pertanian terhadap produktivitas petani di Desa Guntur Kabupaten Purworejo.Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif yang dikumpulkan dalam bentuk angka, data yang dikumpulkan oleh peneliti adalah pendapatan sebelum dan sesudah mengalihfungsikan lahan nya, jumlah petani dan luas lahan petani. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder, sumber primer adalah pihak pertama yang memberikan data kepada peneliti untuk di identifikasi. Sumber data primer diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner terbuka dari pemilik lahan yang dialihfungsikanhasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Alih fungsi lahan yang terjadi mempengaruhi pendapatan petani, dimana pendapatan petani sebelum alih fungsi lahan memiliki nilai total pendaptan sebesar Rp.313.500.00 dan sesudah terjadinya alih fungsi lahan memiliki nilai total penadapatan sebesar Rp.317.000.00. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya alih fungsi lahan petani mengalami kenaikan pendapatan.Perubahan yang signifikan terjadi karena adanya perubahan pendapatan petani yang semakin meningkat sesudah terjadinya alih fungsi lahan dibandingkan dengan pendapatan sebelum alih fungsi lahan, hal ini dikarenakan pemanfaatan hasil jual lahan yang digunakan sebagai modal usaha baru dan adanya pendapatan petani yang berubah menjadi sektor non pertanian, dengan hal ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadinya alih fungsi lahan pertanian meningkatkan produktivitas petani di Desa Guntur.

Abstract

Abstract The area of fertile land for food crops, especially rice, is decreasing. Suboptimal land is an alternative available to the government to achieve the target of food self-sufficiency, especially rice. One of the suboptimal lands that is still very large (around 20 million hectares) is swamp land (tidal or lowland). The Pemulutan area of Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra is a suboptimal agricultural area with a lowland land typology. In this area, rice farming activities carried out by farmers can only be carried out once a planting season each year. This results in the income obtained by farmers not reaching the maximum due to the suboptimal farming patterns used by farmers. The objectives of this study are 1). Determining the optimal farming pattern in the use of swamp land so that farmers' income can be maximized, 2) Analyzing the effect of changes in the availability of farmer resources on the optimal farming pattern that should be implemented and, 3) Revealing the problems faced by rice farmers in the swamp land of the Pemulutan Area, Ogan Ilir Regency in implementing optimal farming patterns. The analysis method used is a linear programming model, which will then be processed using the ABQM computer program. The results of this study are expected to be information and consideration for local farmers in choosing the farming pattern that they will manage, for the government as information and consideration in determining and formulating new policies, especially regarding the development of swamp land in South Sumatra, and scientific aspects as additional information specifically for those interested in conducting research in swamp land. Abstract

Chili is one of the vegetable commodities that is often consumed by people in Indonesia. The demands of chili will increase along with population and industrial development in Indonesia. The rising demand for chili will increase the use of chemical fertilizers, especially Urea and NPK. Efforts to reduce the use of excess chemical fertilizers are to use biofertilizers and biochar. Biofertilizers function to provide nutrients to replace chemical fertilizers while biochar is a soil ameliorant material that can bind nutrients and water in the soil. The application of biological fertilizers and biochar is expected to improve the chemical, biological and physical properties of the soil so as to provide media and nutrients for plant growth. In addition, the purpose of this study was to obtain the best combination dose of biochar and biofertilizer on the growth and yield of red chili. This study used a factorial randomized group design (RAK). The first factor is the dose of biofertilizer (Y) consisting of 3 levels, namely 6 l/ha, 8 l/ha and 10 l/ha. The second factor is the dose of biochar (B) consisting of 4 levels, namely 6 tons/ha, 8 tons/ha, 10 tons/ha and 12 tons/ha. The results showed that the combination of biofertilizer doses and biochar treatments interacted with plant height at 28 and 35 HST (Days After Planting), number of leaves at 35 HST and fruit weight throughout the harvest period. The best combination was found at a dose of 6 l/ha biofertilizer and a dose of 8 tons/ha biochar. Keywords: growth and yields, chili, biochar, biofertilizers

Abstract

Sustainable innovation in the agribusiness sector plays a crucial role in enhancing productivity, improving energy efficiency, and ensuring environmental sustainability. This article provides an in-depth discussion on the green entrepreneurship model, the factors that support or hinder the implementation of green innovations, and the role of digital technology in accelerating the transformation of the agribusiness sector. The research method employed in this study is a systematic literature review, in which data were collected and analyzed from various studies published in national and international journals over the past fifteen years. The findings indicate that green innovations, such as the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, and the circular economy concept, significantly contribute to improving production efficiency while reducing negative environmental impacts. However, the implementation of these innovations faces several challenges, including high initial costs, a lack of supportive regulations, and resistance from farmers toward adopting new technologies. Support from the government, academia, the private sector, and farming communities is a key factor in promoting the adoption of green innovations in the agribusiness sector. This article recommends the need for more pro-green innovation policies, increased access to sustainable funding, and strengthened cross-stakeholder collaboration to establish a more resilient green agribusiness ecosystem. Through an integrated approach, green innovation is expected to serve as a tangible solution for developing a robust, efficient, and environmentally friendly agribusiness sector in the future. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dan fungsi lembaga penyuluhan dalam pengembangan pertanian (perkebunan) yang dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Panceng Kabupaten Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dan prosedur penelitian kualitatif, dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara kepada petani dan balai penyuluhan pertanian untuk mendapatkan data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lembaga penyuluhan pertanian yang meliputi balai pelayanan, balai komunikasi, balai pengembangan kelembagaan, dan balai pengembangan kemitraan belum berjalan secara optimal dalam hal peran dan fungsinya dalam pengembangan pertanian. Lembaga penyuluhan belum mampu melaksanakan tugasnya secara optimal. Fungsi tersebut meliputi perencanaan dan penyusunan program, penyediaan dan penyebaran informasi, pembinaan sumber daya manusia, penyelenggaraan administrasi, dan evaluasi. Terdapat program alih tugas yang memungkinkan tenaga penyuluh perkebunan untuk bekerja di bidang penyuluhan tanaman pangan, namun jumlah dan kualitas tenaga penyuluh pertanian (perkebunan) masih cukup rendah. Tenaga penyuluh perkebunan kurang mendapatkan pelatihan. Indikator pembangunan pertanian (perkebunan) dapat dilihat melalui perluasan perekonomian, peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat, dan capaian industri perkebunan.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the decision of farmers in Kampung Selamat towards replanting and to determine the economic ability of farmer households to carry out oil palm replanting to the household economy of farmers in Kampung Selamat, Tenggulun District, Aceh Tamiang Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, namely this research is conducted field observations by interviewing oil palm farmers who have replanted using a questionnaire, then described clearly. The research method used in this study was obtained by recalling data through surveys. The sample taken in this study was 23 done by simple randomization. There are 2 data analysis techniques used, namely decision analysis and ability analysis. Abstract

Hydroponic vegetables are a type of vegetable that is cultivated using water planting media that has been added with organic and chemical nutrients. Hydroponic vegetables are widely cultivated commercially in urban areas due to the lack of agricultural land, but over time hydroponic vegetables are also in great demand by many people in the region. Boja District, Kendal Regency, Central Java is one of the areas where the level of hydroponic vegetable consumption continues to increase from year to year. Setya Agrofarm is one of the business ventures located in Boja District and is engaged in the agricultural sub-sector, especially hydroponic vegetables. The purpose of this study is to determine the income, revenue, and R/C generated from hydroponic vegetable cultivation business within 1 planting period. The method carried out in the study is a research method by determining the research location deliberately (purposive). The results of the study show that the average revenue is Rp. 2,166,667, the average income is Rp. 1,345,500, and the average R/C value is 2.6 from the average land area of 120M2. Based on the criteria of the decision that has been set, where R/C > 1 shows that the business is feasible to be implemented, all plantations in this analysis meet the requirements for business feasibility

Abstract

Sweet corn is a high-value horticultural commodity with steadily increasing market demand. This study aimed to evaluate the production of sweet corn under different plant spacing and bokashi application. The research was conducted at the Horticultural Experimental Garden of Politeknik Negeri Lampung from July to October 2024, using a two-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The first factor was plant spacing, consisting of three levels: 100 cm × 20 cm (JT1), 80 cm × 20 cm (JT2), and 60 cm × 20 cm (JT3). The second factor was bokashi application, also consisting of three levels: no bokashi (B0), 2.5 kg/m² bokashi (B1), and 5.0 kg/m² bokashi (B2). The results indicated that planting distance had a significant effect on all observed parameters. Bokashi application significantly influenced all observed parameters except stem diameter and cob diameter. No significant interaction was observed between planting distance and bokashi application. The 80 cm × 20 cm planting distance produced the highest yield, reaching 14.25 tons/ha. Bokashi application improved plant growth and yield compared to the control.
