Abstract

Palm oil is a plantation commodity that plays an important role in the development of the national strategic economy. Palm oil plantations contribute significantly to regional income, employment absorption, and downstream industrial development. However, the development of plantations in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province faces challenges, such as limited land, agro-ecosystems that are different from the central areas of palm oil plantation commodity production. This study focuses on the Bangka Belitung Islands Province which was carried out in April 2025, using a time series analysis approach using data on production and area of ​​smallholder palm oil land in a 7-year period (2018-2024) with Simple Linear Regression analysis. Palm oil productivity in the Bangka Belitung Islands tends to increase every year with an average productivity of 2.20 tons/ha. The projection of smallholder oil palm in the Bangka Belitung Islands from 2025 - 2031 has increased annually by 14,160.6 tons/year and an average production of 192,350.2 tons/year, using simple linear regression, the projection equation results are Ft = - 284,404,498 + 14,160.6t.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain gelatin agar gel emulsion as a food model to control the spatial distribution of fat and determine its sensory profile. This study used a completely randomized design with five treatments, namely heterogeneous gel 1 (GTH1), homogeneous gel 1 (GHM1), heterogeneous gel 2 (GHT 2), homogeneous gel 2 (GHM 2), homogeneous gel 3 (GMH3) and analyzed variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan test of significance p<0.05. The best spatial distribution treatment of fat in gel emulsion was selected based on fat content, water content, organoleptic tests including hardness, color, elasticity, Gel Strenght, and Adhesiveness. The results showed that the homogeneous gel treatment II had a good value. This is indicated by the measurement results of fat content of 3.84%, moisture content of 78.07%, organoleptic test of hardness 7.4 (like), color 7.1 (like), suppleness 7.2 (like), gel strength 38.7751 (gr/cm2), and adhesiveness -10.754 g/force. Spatial distribution of fat in the best emulsion gel is homogenous gel 2 (GHM2) with fat content of 3.84%, water content of 78.07%, organoleptic tests include hardness 7.4 (liked by panelists), color 7.1 (liked by panelists), suppleness 7.2 (liked by panelists), gel strength 38.7751 (gr/cm2), and adhesiveness -10.754 g/force. Emulsion gel with homogeneous fat distribution GHM2 is the best formulation to produce a low-fat gel with sensory characteristics favored by panelists and optimal texture structure.

Abstract

Tembakau merupakan tanaman perkebunan satu musim dengan nilai ekonomi yang tinggi dan berpotensi untuk dikembangkan. Tembakau dapat menggerakkan perekonomian di tingkat lokal dan nasional, selain itu tembakau juga termasuk komoditas yang dijadikan sumber penghidupan serta memberikan kesejahteraan petani tembakau. Kabupaten Bojonegoro memiliki potensi besar akan luas lahan tanam dan produksi tembakau. Keberhasilan petani tembakau dipengaruhi oleh keuntungan yang mereka peroleh dari usahatani yang dijalankan. Keuntungan yang tinggi dapat menjadi dorongan bagi petani untuk meningkatkan produksi tembakau baik dari segi jumlah maupun kualitas. Untuk itu perlu diketahui apakah usahatani ini layak dan menguntungkan? serta apa saja faktor-faktor apa yang memengaruhi keuntungan usahatani tembakau. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Bojonegoro dengan menggunakan analitis deskriptif yang digali dari Data primer 100 orang petani responden (snowball sampling), serta data sekunder dari literasi lembaga terkait. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan usahatani tembakau yang ada di Kabupaten Bojonegoro menguntungkan dan layak untuk dijalankan dengan nilai R/C ratio > 1. Selanjutnya secara parsial harga jual tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keuntungan usahatani tembakau di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Sedangkan faktor lain seperti biaya sewa lahan, biaya bibit, biaya pupuk, biaya tenaga kerja, dan pola usahatani kemitraan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keuntungan usahatani tembakau di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Dari hasil penelitian ini petani dengan keterbatasan modal dapat memilih pola usahatani kemitraan untuk melakukan kegiatan usahatani. Selain itu pemerintah disarankan untuk berperan aktif melalui berbagai kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan usahatani tembakau untuk menjaga kestabilan harga input, sehingga keuntungan usahatani dapat lebih optimal. Kata kunci: kelayakan; keuntungan; usahatani tembakau.

Abstract

Purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is one of the horticultural commodities that is quite much in demand by the people of Indonesia. The need and demand for purple eggplant every year continues to increase along with the increase in population, but purple eggplant production in some areas is still quite low due to one of them is limited land due to land conversion and less fertile land. This research was conducted from December 2024 to March 2025 in Bulurejo Village, Rengel District, Tuban Regency, East Java. This research was designed using a completely randomised design (RAL) which was arranged factorially and consisted of two treatment factors. Factor The first factor is the provision of husk charcoal (A) which consists of four levels, namely A0: 0 g/plant (control), A1 100 g/plant (control), A2: 100 g/plant (control), A3: 150 g/plant (control): 150 g/plant, A2: 150 g/plant, A3: 200 g/plant. The second factor is the application of several concentrations of Gandasil B (G) consisting of four levels, namely: G0: 0 g/L (control), G1: 2 g/L, G2: 3 g/L, G3: 4 g/L. The results showed an interaction between the application of husk charcoal 200g/plant and the concentration of Gandasil B 3g/l (A3G2) which produced the highest number of total flowers per plant, total fruit per plant, and total fruit weight per plant but not significantly different from the treatment of a combination of the application of husk charcoal 150 g/plant (A2G2) and the concentration of Gandasil B 3 g/l and a combination of the aplication of husk charcoal 200 g/plant and the concentration of Gandasil B 4 g/l (A3G3).

Abstract

Microgreens are nutrient-rich vegetables with a very short harvest life. Compared to mature vegetables, microgreens have a higher nutritional content. Besides that, microgreens are generally free from chemical pesticide contamination and are considered a very healthy food ingredient. This research aims to determine how fertilization influences the growth and yield of spoon mustard microgreens grown using rockwool media. The study was carried out at the Agrotechnology Laboratory at Universitas Musamus-Merauke from August to September 2024. The results of the study showed that fertilization influenced microgreen height, hypocotyl length, and hypocotyl diameter and had no effect on observations of the number of leaves and weight of 10 microgreens. In general, there is a tendency to use ABMix fertilizer as a source of nutrition to provide better growth and results. Keywords: Bokcoy, healthy vegetables, microgreens

Abstract

Red chili is a horticultural commodity with high economic value and can be planted in various land conditions. This study was conducted on red chili farming in rice fields and sandy land in Bantul Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of red chili farming production factors used in rice fields and sandy land, to determine the comparison of revenue, costs, income, and profits of red chili farming in rice fields and sandy land, and to assess the feasibility of red chili farming in rice fields and sandy land. The study location was determined by purposive sampling, considering that Kapanewon Kretek and Sanden are the leading producers of red chili in Bantul Regency. The total respondents in this study were 30 farmers in each study area. R/C ratio analysis and π/C ratio were used as the analysis model. The results showed that the use of manure and machine were significantly different in red chili farming in rice fields and sandy land, while the use of labor, seeds, phonska fertilizer, NPK, ZA, and KCL production factors was not significantly different. There are no significant differences in income, costs, revenues, and profits of red chili farming in rice fields and sandy land. Red chili farming activities are feasible to be conducted in both areas. Keywords: red chili, feasibility, rice fields, sandy land, farming

Abstract

Seller vegetable are actors in the downstream agribusiness subsystem who have a role in distributing vegetable products in residential areas based on considerations to establish direct contact with consumers. This study aims to determine the characteristics of consumers who buy vegetables at mobile vegetable traders and find out what factors influence consumer decisions in Ambarawa Asri Housing in purchasing vegetables at mobile vegetable vendors. This research uses basic quantitative methods with a case study approach. The sample data taken were consumers who purchased vegetables at mobile vegetable vendors totaling 80 respondents. The method of data analysis is done by using multiple linear regression through the SPSS 25 application. The results showed that the characteristics of consumers are women who work as housewives between the ages of 46 to 55 years who are married with the last level of high school education and have 4 family members, have a monthly personal income of less than Rp 1,000,000 and the average monthly family income is between Rp 3,000,000 to Rp 4,999,999. Consumers shop daily at mobile vegetable vendors and rarely shop elsewhere and have 2 subscription merchants. The variables that significantly influence vegetable purchasing decisions are psychological factors, product factors, and distribution factors. Keywords: Vegetables, Purchasing Decisions, Seller

Abstract

Potato productivity in Indonesia remains relatively low at 13.38 t ha⁻¹, compared with its optimal potential yield of up to 26.5 t ha⁻¹. This low productivity is largely attributed to the use of poor-quality seed tubers, inefficient cultivation practices, and limited farmer access to appropriate technologies and production inputs. The present study aimed to evaluate the growth and yield performance of Generation-2 (G2) seed potatoes derived from stem cuttings and seed tubers of the Granola Lembang variety under field conditions in Pujon, Malang. The experiment was conducted using standard cultivation techniques, including the application of organic and inorganic fertilisers, hilling, irrigation, and integrated pest and disease management. Agronomic parameters observed included plant height, stem diameter, number of primary branches, number of leaves, number of tubers, and tuber weight per plant. Data were analysed using t-tests to compare the treatments. The results revealed significant effects of the treatments on all growth and yield parameters measured. T-test analysis showed p-values < 0.05 across all parameters at 56, 70, and 84 days after planting. These findings indicate that both stem cuttings and sprouted seed tubers can be effectively utilised for the production of G2 potato seed, thereby offering alternative approaches to improve seed availability and productivity in potato cultivation.

Abstract

Studi ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pupuk makro majemuk terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) pada tahap pre-nursery serta menentukan dosis optimal yang mendukung pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun praktik Kecamatan Toho, Kabupaten Mempawah, Kalimantan Barat, dari Maret hingga September 2025. Rancangan enelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan rancangan percobaan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non-faktorial dengan empat perlakuan dosis pupuk makro majemuk, yaitu 2 g, 4 g, 6 g, dan 8 g per tanaman, masing-masing dengan lima ulangan dan lima sampel per ulangan. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah pelepah daun, bobot segar tajuk, dan bobot segar akar. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk makro majemuk berpengaruh sangat signifikan terhadap seluruh parameter pertumbuhan yang diamati. Dosis 8 g menghasilkan pertumbuhan tertinggi pada semua variabel, dengan peningkatan nyata dibandingkan dosis 2 g, 4 g, dan 6 g. Pupuk makro majemuk berperan penting dalam menyediakan unsur hara utama, terutama nitrogen (N), fosfor (P), dan kalium (K), yang mendukung pembentukan daun, batang, dan sistem perakaran yang optimal. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dosis 8 g pupuk makro majemuk direkomendasikan sebagai dosis terbaik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit pada tahap pre-nursery.
