Al Kawnu: Science and Local Wisdom Journal is Open Access and Peer Reviewed journal that published by Tadris Biologi, Tadris Fisika and Tadris Kimia Department, Universitas Islam Negeri Antasari Banjarmasin. This journal include research articles about science learning consists development and design of learning, learning strategy, learning evaluation, inclusive education, teacher profesionalism, digital technology, and other relevant topics with the focus of science education; natural science consists theoretical and empirical research studies on natural science (biology, chemistry, physics or science application) and applied science that related the local wisdom and/or integrated to value of religion and culture. Al Kawnu: Science and Local Wisdom Journal publishes biannually on October and April. This journal accepts submissions all year round. The template manuscripts can be downloaded here. This journal publishes original articles on the latest issues and trends occurring internationally in science learning, natural science and applied science. Editorial board receives the articles from the educators, obsrvers, researchers to be published after having tight selection, peer review, and serious editing.

Abstract

Wilayah Kampus II UIN Antasari di Banjarbaru belum banyak dieksplorasi, terutama mengenai keberadaan tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta). Oleh karena itu, tim peneliti berupaya untuk menginventarisasi jenis-jenis pteridophyta di wilayah ini. Hasil inventarisasi ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai materi pembelajaran di kelas botani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis pteridophyta yang ditemukan di Kampus II UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui purposive sampling dengan metode jelajah, di mana sampel dipilih secara acak untuk memastikan representatif, bebas dari bias, dan memiliki ukuran yang memadai untuk hasil yang andal secara statistik. Teknik ini memungkinkan setiap elemen dalam populasi dipilih secara independen, tanpa saling mempengaruhi. Dalam proses analisis, tumbuhan yang ditemukan dikumpulkan secara acak, diidentifikasi, dideskripsikan, didokumentasikan, dan diinventarisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 11 famili pteridophyta di Kampus II UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, yaitu Blechnaceae, Polypodiaceae, Dryopteridaceae, Lygodiaceae, Dennstaedtiaceae, Aspleniaceae, Schizaeaceae, Hymenophyllaceae, Gleicheniaceae, dan Lycopodiaceae, dengan 13 spesies antara lain Parablechnum procerum, Parablechnum minus, Microsorum sp., Rumohra adiantiformis, Lygodium flexuosum, Lindsaea ensifolia, Drynaria sparsisora, Pyrrosia eleagnifolia, Asplenium nidus, Actinostachys digitate, Crepidomanes bipunctatum, Dicranopteris linearis, dan Palhinhaea cernua. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan pembelajaran botani, khususnya terkait Pteridophyta.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the taxonomic affinity of 7 members of Rutaceae based on morphological characters. There are 7 species observed namely Aurantifolia swingle, Citrus hystrix, and Citrus maxima, Citrus limon, Muurraya paniculate, Limonia acidissima, and Citrus paradis. We used 13 morphological characters including leaf surface, leaf tip, leaf base, leaf margin, flower color, crown shape, number of petals, rind, fruit shape, flesh of fruit’s color, rind’s color, fruit apex’s shape, and stem surface. Analysis using NTSYS showed that Aurontifolia swingle and Citrus paradisi share the most widely characters in leaf surface, leaf tip, leaf base, leaf margin, flower color, number of petals, fruit shape, rind’s color, and stem surface with a similarity coefficient is 0.69. This finding gives an insight that morphology still could be used in grouping species based on their similarity. We recommended to add more species in Rutaceae as well as increase the number of morphological characters to get a comprehensive data.

Abstract

In the era of society 5.0, scientific thinking skills are very important to help students solve problems effectively. However, in practice, learning is still centered on the teacher, making students less active and tend to be passive in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on scientific thinking skills and student learning outcomes on the reaction rate material at MAN 3 Banjar. The method used is quasi-experimental with posttest only control group design with ANOVA Two Ways statistical test. The respondents of this study were 45 students of class XI MIA MAN 3 Banjar with a saturated sampling technique. The study was divided into two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. The results of the study found that (1) the PBL learning model has a significant effect on scientific thinking skills with an F value of 2,664 or sig. <0.034. (2) the PBL learning model has a significant effect on learning outcomes with an F value of 30.054 or sig. <0.000. This study provides recommendations for learning models that are more effective and useful for scientific thinking skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Kesalahpahaman atau miskonsepsi yang dimiliki peserta didik dapat mempengaruhi pemahaman konsep peserta didik, yang dapat menyebabkan kesulitan dalam mempelajari materi berikutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes diagnostik four-tier untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi peserta didik pada konsep mol dan stoikiometri. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) type model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, & Evaluation). yang menggunakan metode pendokumentasian, wawancara terbuka, pemberian angket, dan pemberian soal. Tes diagnostik tipe four-tier terdiri dari empat tingkat: soal, keyakinan terhadap jawaban soal, pengungkapan alasan, dan keyakinan terhadap alasan yang diberikan. Hasil pengembangan ini menghasilkan instrumen yang lengkap, terdiri dari kisi-kisi soal, soal tes diagnostik four-tier, kunci jawaban, serta pedoman penskoran. Penelitian ini hanya melalui uji validitas oleh ahli karena instrumennya berjenis subyektif. Instrumen yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator. Hasil diagnosis miskonsepsi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa (88,5%) belum memahami konsep pada semua indikator. Selain itu, terdapat proporsi kecil siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi (6,4%) dan miskonsepsi positif (5,1%). Tidak ada siswa yang menunjukkan pemahaman konsep yang benar atau miskonsepsi negatif.
