Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (2442-8485) & (2460-6316), well-known as GRAMATIKA, is an international forum for original research focused on identities as local contexts, like an identity in linguistics, identity in literature, and identity in language education in global and local contexts, especially in Indonesia. These may include but are not limited to various fields, such as we are interested in interdisciplinary studies examining how issues of linguistics, literature, and education in language influence individual and community identities. In order to publish in GRAMATIKA, a study must have an overview of previous research or theoretical concepts that are packaged to justify the novelty/uniqueness of this study and central focus on local, foreign, minority, heritage, or indigenous languages (or non-standard dialects) and their intersection with either identity and/or education in language, linguistics and literature. We welcome a variety of topics, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches (both qualitative and quantitative). Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia published by Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat, in collaboration with Asosiasi Dosen Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (ADOBSI) and Perkumpulan Pengelola Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Pengajarannya (PPJB-SIP). Issues are published biannual (April and October) in English since 2020. Submissions are open year-around. However, before submitting, please ensure that the manuscript within Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and follows our focus and scope and author guidelines. Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia has been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia in 2018 (SINTA 3). Now, Jurnal Gramatika: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia has been accredited SINTA 2 (2020) by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia started from Volume 6 Number 1 (2020). The last accreditation is valid until 2025.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the structure of the novel and the inner conflict experienced Zahrana figures. Zahrana is a girl educated, intelligent, and achieving a dilemma when faced with the choice of pursuing goals, career, and marriage. Zahrana experienced inner conflict arises when there is a difference in her desire that want to continue education with the wishes of parents who want to get married. Her parents worried about her son would be called an old maid because never married. This concern stems from the view of society that a woman's primary duty is to be a mother to her children. Readers can reap the lessons of this novel with the existence of a series of character and his life journey.

Abstract

This study discusses analysis  in Barasuara Band by   Iga Dada Yudhistira Massardi  song lyrics collection and its implications for learning Indonesian in senior high school. From the analysis, there are several songs in the lyrics containing literary ecocritical values, regarding environmental and natural damage due to human actions. The purpose of this study is to describe the literary ecocritical value contained in the collection of Barasuara's song lyrics, in the form of ecocritical values about pollution, natural disasters, housing, and the earth, and its implications for learning Indonesian in senior high school. The approach used is a qualitative approach using content analysis methods while the data collection technique uses documentation study or literature review, in this case the study of the Barasuara Band Song Lyrics Collection is the main data source in research. The data used in this study are the findings of quotations in a collection of song lyrics by  Iga Dada Yudhistira Massardi : 1) Guna Manusia, 2) Tentukan Arah, 3) Barat, 4) Haluan, 5) Tarintih, 6) Pikiran dan Perjalanan, and 7) Mengunci Ingatan which contains a literary ecocritical value. Data collection techniques using documentation study or literature review. Barasuara song lyrics is the main data source in the research. The results of the study found that twenty-six literary ecocritical values contained in the song lyrics collection by the Barasuara band included the values of pollution, dwelling, apocalypse, and the earth. From these findings, this collection of songs can be applied and can be used as teaching material in Indonesian language learning in senior high school class X semester 2 with learning material for poetry musicalization  KD 3. 16       and 4. 16.

Abstract

This study was generated from the problem of students’ ability in writing news texts ini class VIII, SMPN 1 Panti. Some of the problem were (1) lack of the students’ response towards news writing teaching and learning process, (2) lack of teacher’s creativity in designing interesting news sriting learning model, (3) no appropriate creative techniques applied by the teacher which could train the students to develop their skill in writing news texts and (4) lack of the students’ motivation in participating in teaching and learning process because of their lack of understanding in the elements of news. Thus, this study was aimed at escribing the effect of the students’ ability ini writing news texts in class VIII SMP N 1 Panti. This was a quantitative research with factorial 2x2 experimental design. The population was the students in class VIII SMPN 1 Panti. Sampling technique was done by using random sampling and the data was collected through test. The result of the study revealed that cooperative learning model with STAD mind mapping type affected the students’ ability in writing news texts

Abstract

Multimodal discourse analysis is a new study in discourse studies to study text combined with images, colors, symbols, and other semiotic sources. The text and the semiotic resources areused to represent meaning. Therefore, a semiotic approach is used to study the implicit meaningof the text, images, and  olors used. In this study, a multimodal semiotics approach is used toexamine images, colors, and text on novel covers that reflect novel content. The images and col-ors were analyzed using Kress and Leeuwen's reading image theory, while the text as a reflec-tion of reality was analyzed using seven building task theory from James Paul Gee. This studyconcludes that in the use of colors, images, and texts contain a certain meaning that the readercan interpret in accordance with the reality presented in the text or narration.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEvaluation in writing is one of the efforts in improving competence in writing, in addition to planning teaching programs based on the writing process. However, evaluation in writing is not intended to improve students' understanding in writing, even writing is seen as a straightforward product, not produced through a repetitive process. Therefore, this study aims to produce a product in the form of an explanatory text writing evaluation tool based on a process approach. By using the ADDIE development model, it was designed an evaluation tool according to the writing process carried out by students in addition to paying attention to the task environment and long-term memory of students. The writing process is used as a reference in developing evaluation tools, ranging from planning, translation (developing ideas and ideas), and reviewing (evaluation and revision). Planning becomes the initial stage for students to gather ideas and generate memory by writing a writing framework in the form of a mind map. Translation is an effort to develop the writing framework into explanatory text by taking into account the linguistic structure and rules of the text. Review in the form of evaluating or evaluating the written text, then revising according to the writing criteria. The writing process that is done in stages is complemented by hard think-aloud procedures so students can asking the question to themselves to monitor writing activities. Keywords: evaluation tools, explanatory text, a process approach  ABSTRAKEvaluasi dalam menulis menjadi salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan kompetensi dalam menulis, selain merencanakan program pengajaran yang berbasis proses dalam menulis. Akan tetapi, evaluasi dalam menulis dilakukan tidak bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik dalam menulis, bahkan tulisan dipandang sebagai produk yang langsung jadi, bukan dihasilkan melalui proses yang berulang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa alat evaluasi menulis teks eksplanasi berbasis pendekatan proses. Dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, dirancang alat evaluasi  sesuai proses menulis yang dilakukan peserta didik di samping memperhatikan lingkungan tugas dan memori jangka panjang peserta didik. Proses menulis yang dijadikan acuan dalam mengembangkan alat evaluasi, mulai dari perencanaan, penerjemahan (mengembangkan ide dan gagasan), dan peninjauan kembali (evaluasi dan revisi). Perencanaan menjadi tahapan awal bagi peserta didik untuk mengumpulkan gagasan dan membangkitkan memori dengan cara menulis kerangka tulisan dalam bentuk peta pikiran. Penerjemahan menjadi upaya untuk mengembangkan kerangka tulisan menjadi teks eksplanasi dengan memperhatikan struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks. Peninjauan kembali dalam bentuk menilai atau mengevaluasi teks yang ditulis, lalu dlakukan revisi sesuai kriteria penulisan. Proses menulis yang dilakukan secara bertahap ini dilengkapi dengan prosedur berpikir keras (think aloud) sehingga peserta didik dapat bertanya kepada dirinya sendiri untuk memantau aktivitas menulis yang dilakukan. Kata Kunci: Alat evaluasi, teks eksplanasi, pendekatan proses

Abstract

Minangkabau is a territory situated in West Sumatra Indonesia. The history of Minangkabau comes from an oral tradition which is then written and known as "Tambo". Many oral stories that appear in Minangkabau contain human values, for example the story of Malin Kundang which gives human values to be obedient to parents. Through this research, oral stories were collected from informants and written in the form of illustrated books. This study specifically collects children oral stories of Minangkabau, then analyzed, and made into a illustrated story book, because it is feared that these oral stories would disappear along with the death of the informants. These stories are written in the Minang language so that the young generation and children will keep maintaining and understanding the Minang language in daily life. Through the creative industry, oral stories are packaged into illustrated story books in Minang language. The benefit is that Minang children who live in Minang or beyond its areas will hopefully understand and can use the Minang language properly. The approach used in this research is the folklore approach by collecting stories spoken in the Minangkabau community that have not been written yet.

Abstract

AbstrakTulisan ini berisi pembahasan tentang diksi yang terdapat pada lirik lagu dangdut kekinian. Pembahasan ini dilandasi pandangan bahwa diksi merupakan pilihan kata yang menunjukkan maksud atau hal yang akan ditujukan. Diksi atau pilihan kata sangat berperan dalam komunikasi, baik lisan, maupun tulisan. Diksi pada lirik lagu merupakan penyampaian pesan. Jika maksud yang disampaikan pembicara ataupun penulis berbeda dengan yang ditanggapi pendengar atau pembaca, maka diksi yang digunakan berarti kurang tepat, sehingga bermakna ganda. Kreativitas pilihan kata yang digunakan pada lirik lagu, juga mewakili makna dari lagu tersebut. Tulisan ini akan menguraikan perubahan makna yang berjenis sarkasme dalam lirik lagu pada aliran musik dangdut masa kini atau kekinian. Lagu pada umumnya dapat dinikmati oleh semua kalangan. Mulai dari generasi tua, muda, dewasa hingga anak-anak. Jika lagu yang didengar tidak sesuai dengan umurnya, maka hal ini secara tidak langsung dapat menghancurkan karakter anak. Untuk membentuk karakter anak dimulai sejak dalam kandungan ibu. Calon bayi sudah diperdengarkan musik-musik klasik untuk merangsang motorik sehingga bayi lebih aktif bergerak. Karena musik klasik dianggap mirip dengan detak jantung sang ibu. Lagu yang berkembang saat ini lebih mengutamakan musik yang asyik diputar, lirik lagu yang mudah diingat, dibandingkan diksi yang menjiwai lagu tersebut. Hal ini mengakibatkan lagu tersebut kurang bermanfaat atau bermakna bagi pendengar. Jika hanya sekedar nikmat untuk didengar, maka sebuah lagu tersebut akan kehilangan jiwa karena tidak bermakna. Lagu atau nyanyian, tidak hanya sebagai sarana hiburan, tetapi ada maksud yang hendak disampaikan oleh pencipta lagu.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the form and uniqueness of language politeness in classroom interaction in senior high school with a background of Java language. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method with sociopragmatic approach. Data in the form of students' speech in the learning process of Bahasa Indonesia. Technique of collecting data by using listening, feee, participating, speaking and data transcription. Data analysis techniques use interactive model in the form of data collection, data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion. The results show that there are generosity maxim, tact maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim. As for the uniqueness of Javanese language in classroom interaction with marker of basa krama alus and basa ngoko.Keywords: language politeness, Java language, classroom interactionAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk dan keunikan atau kekhasan kesantunan berbahasa dalam interaksi kelas di Sekolah Menengah Atas yang berlatar bahasa Jawa. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiopragmatik. Data berupa tuturan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik perekaman dengan metode simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC). Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif berupa pengumpulan data, reduksi data, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pematuhan maksim kedermawanan, maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kesederhanaan, maksim kesepakatan, dan maksim kesimpatian. Adapun ditemukan kekhasan bahasa Jawa dalam interaksi kelas dengan penanda basa krama alus dan basa ngoko.Kata Kunci: kesantunan berbahasa, bahasa Jawa, interaksi kelas

Abstract

The collection of gurindam in the Tarbiyatus Shibyan book written by KH Habibullah Ra’is has become a very popular learning media, especially on the island of Madura because it is a subject and textbook in educational institutions such as the madrasah diniyah and Islamic boarding schools. The value of education in the gurindam group can be a medium for forging the character of students into good characters. This research is classified as a type of literary research or library research that is qualitative in nature. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The value of religious education in our collection of gurindam Tarbiyatus Shibyan by KH. Habibullah Ra’is is characterized by attitudes and concrete actions from the attitude of mankind to Allah by always carrying out what is commanded and away from its prohibitions, humans must fear Allah, always remember Allah, and expect the pleasure of Allah. The value of moral education contained in the Gurindam of the Tarbiyatus Shibyan book by KH. Habibullah Ra’is deals with communication between family members and in society.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan adalah untuk  mendeskripsikan struktur dan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dua tahap. Tahap pertama merupakan tahap perekaman sastra lisan cerita rakyatKabupaten Tanah.  Tahap kedua pengumpulan data tentang lingkungan penceritaan. Data tentang lingkungan penceritaan dikumpulkan melalui teknik pencatatan, pengamatan, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pertama, dari 12 cerita rakyat Kabupaten Tanah Datar yang dianalisis, kelima unsur intrinsik tergambar dalam cerita rakyat. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa cerita rakyat bagian dari karya sastra yang kehadirannya dapat bermanfaat bagi penikmat sastra karena peristiwa dihantarkan oleh struktur cerita yang jelas. Kedua, untuk nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam cerita Rakyat Kabupaten Tanah Datar meliputi, (1) nilai pendidikan moral, (2) nilai pendidikan budaya, (3) nilai pendidikan religius, (4) nilai pendidikan sejarah, (5) nilai kepahlawanan (semangat perjuangan).
