Abstract

Interaksi antar anggota Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) dalam sebuah pasar tunggal dikhawatirkan dapat membawa dampak negatif pada berbagai bidang termasuk pengakuan terhadap eksistensi bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa nasional. Bahasa Indonesia sebagai identitas dan pemersatu bangsa harus terus dijaga eksistensinya. Saat ini pemerintah tampak belum mantab melaksanakan strategi yang sudah ditetapkan dalam upaya menjaga eksisensi bahasa Indonesia di era MEA. Di sisi lain, kehadiran MEA mambawa daya tarik tersendiri bagi warga negara asing untuk menjalankan bisnis dan investasi di Indonesia. Hal ini membuka peluang bagi bahasa Indonesia untuk bisa diajarkan kepada masyarakat internasional sekaligus membuka peluang bagi bahasa Indonesia untuk bisa dijadikan sebagai bahasa pengantar dalam integrasi MEA. Pemerintah melalui Badan Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Bahasa perlu memantabkan lagi kebijakan-kebijakan yang sudah ditetapkan. Peningkatan kualitas program Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia Bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) menjadi upaya strategis yang dapat dilakukan pemerintah. Sebagai pendukungnya, sertifikasi Uji Kemahiran Bahasa Indonesia (UKBI) bagi warga negara asing yang berkepentingan di Indonesia wajib diberlakukan. Kata Kunci: Pengajaran BIPA, UKBI, MEA, eksistensi bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

This research aims to describe the complexity cultures consisting of kinship activities, economy, education, beauty and recreation, religion, politics, and physical needs in the novel Bumi Manusia written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The approach used in this research is the anthropology literature approach. Read notes, literature, and description of the analysis are methods used in collecting the data. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results obtained are (1) kinship activities: helping each other, visiting houses and caring among human, (2) economic activities: complementing the needs of human life, (3) educational activities: formal and non formal, (4) beauty and recreation activities: the art of motion and the art of sound done by human, (5) religious activities: marriage and mutual respect for every beliefs between people, (6) political activities: the fields of government and organization, and (7) physical needs activities: the fields of food, beverages, and clothing.

Abstract

This research is a case study using descriptive qualitative methods with 21 research subjects explanatory essays written by class VIII students. The results showed that (1) there were 447 findings of spelling errors, including the writing of absorption elements (0.06%), word writing (8.27%), use of punctuation marks (18.34%), and use of letters (72, 70%) dominated by capital letters errors (70.69%) in the form of findings of patterns of capital letters errors; (2) there are seven articles that have structural errors, including the structure of the composition which is not coherent, the ambiguous type of the article, and the fact that incomplete of the structure dominates the findings of structural errors and becomes one of the triggers for other errors; (3) the factors causing the error are lack of writing practice, less thoroughness, lack of understanding of students, students' language habits, and lack of student interest in following lessons which are the dominant factors because it exacerbates other factors; (4) preventive action, students choose to learn to use spelling correctly and write explanatory text; the teacher makes direct corrections, emphasizes punishment, the use of spelling guidelines and text characteristics to students; the school, especially the principal, supervises and activates school literacy, and (5) both students, teachers and school principals provide advice to deal with these mistakes, namely the use of fun learning media and creating a comfortable learning atmosphere, habituation to using PUEBI, as well as synergy from related parties.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to improve: the students’ interest and text writing skills towards the explanatory text for 8th-grade students of SMP Kristen Satya Wacana Salatiga by applying a problem-based learning model. This study is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Acctivities carried out in the implementation phase consist of five stages in accordance with the problem based learning, namely (1) problem orientation, (2) organizing students for investigation, (3) guiding investigation, (4) developing and presenting results, and (5) analyzing and evaluating promblem solving. According to the results of the analysis, the students’ interest toward explanatory texts is the first cycle was 50% or as many as 10 students, in the second cycle the students’ interest increased becoming 85% or as many as 17 students. While the results of explanatory text writing skills showed significant results. In the first cycle, the students’ interest in explanation text is 65% or as many as 13 students. Then, it increased in the second cycle which is 100% or all students have succeeded in achieving the minimum completeness criteria that have been determined previously, which is 75

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the form and function of students’ responsive speech politeness in class interaction at Senior High School. The method used is qualitative descriptive research method with sociopragmatic approach. Data were students’ speech in the process of learning Bahasa Indonesia. Technique of collecting data through recording technique with free listening method (SBLC). Data analysis technique used interactive model in the form of data collecting, data reduction, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results show that there is compliance with the tact maxim, generosity maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim. The responsive speech acts are directive, assertive, and expressive that serve acceptance, rejection, request and praise.Keywords: form of responsive speech act, responsive speech act function, classroom interaction.REALISASI KESANTUNAN TUTURAN RESPONSIF SISWA DALAM INTERAKSI KELAS AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan fungsi kesantunan tindak tutur responsif siswa dalam interaksi kelas di Sekolah Menengah Atas. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiopragmatik. Data berupa tuturan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik perekaman dengan metode simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC). Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif berupa pengumpulan data, reduksi data, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pematuhan maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kedermawanan, maksim kesederhanaan, maksim kesepakatan, dan maksim kesimpatian. Adapun tindak tutur yang ditemukan berbentuk direktif, asertif, dan ekspresif yang berfungsi menerima, menolak, meminta, dan memuji.Kata kunci: bentuk kesantunan tindak tutur responsif, fungsi tindak tutur responsif, interaksi kelas.

Abstract

Aphasia is a language disorder caused by brain injury. This study aimed at describing how the pragmatic process and forms on words and language phonemes of those suffering from global aphasia. The study is qualitative research using case study approach. The primary data on this study were collected by purposive sampling whose subject was a global aphasia sufferer who had obtained language rehabilitation during one-year period. The secondary data were taken by using in-depth interview with the family, therapist, and subject's neighborhood. The data were analyzed by comparing the in-depth interview result and the field notes of research. The result showed that the individual with global aphasia still had pragmatic abilities, although s/he could produce meaningless words and sounds. In addition, the individual with global aphasia used gesture and intonation to help convey the idea of her/his utterence. The gestures and intonations performed by the individual with global aphasia were nodding and shaking head, and moving hands; while the forms of intonation changes were sudden change in intonation, imitating sounds, and whisper.

Abstract

Slogan yang berada di satuan kerja Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan RI dari tingkat pusat hingga ke daerah-daerah memiliki variasi diksi yang berbeda-beda dan menarik untuk dikaji. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengkaji aspek makna slogan yang digunakan oleh satuan kerja satuan kerja Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan RI dan relevansinya sebagai bahan ajar Linguistik di Perguruan Tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang melalui metode analisis deskriptif. Sumber data yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini yakni dokumen-dokumen yang berkenaan dengan slogan-slogan yang berada di satuan kerja Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan RI. Penelitian ini menghasilkan suatu temuan bahwa (1) setiap satuan kerja Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan RI memiliki slogan yang berbeda-beda dan memiliki makna yang berbeda; (2) slogan yang digunakan di setiap satuan kerja Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan RI memiliki kekhasan masing-masing; dan (3) slogan yang digunakan di satuan kerja Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan RI dapat dijadikan sebagai pendukung bahan ajar Linguistik di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the use of multisensory media in learning to write narratives based on balancing brain function. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Place of research in elementary schools in Ponorogo. Subjects in the study were teachers and elementary school students in grade IV. Data collection techniques are direct observation techniques, interview techniques, and tests. The instruments of data collection are observation guides, interview guides, and test questions. The data analysis technique uses mastery learning guidelines. The results showed that the use of multisensory media in the form of media images, concrete objects, and film media can be used to ignite emotions as a basis for the initial search and development of ideas. The use of picture media can produce students categorically mastery as many as 30 students, the use of concrete media objects 59 students, and the use of film media as many as 63 of the 72 students studied. The use of multisensory media is very important in implementing learning based on balancing brain function.

Abstract

Kecerdasan emosional (EQ) adalah salah satu aspek penting yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan siswa pada setiap kegiatan pembelajaran. Kesan pembelajaran yang ada hanya sebatas pengetahuan yang mengarahkan pada pengembangkan ranah kognitif saja tanpa mempertimbangkan ranah afektif dan psikomotor yang dimiliki siswa. Akibatnya, keterampilan siswa jadi tidak seimbang. Tanpa disadari, kecerdasan emosional justru memiliki peran dalam membentuk keterampilan dan perilaku belajar siswa. Salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat membangun kecerdasan emosional siswa adalah cerpen, karena harus melibatkan unsur-unsur perasaan dan emosi mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membangun pemahaman mendalam guru tentang pentingnya membangun kecerdasan emosional siswa pada kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualtitaif untuk menjawab permasalahan yang ada. Hasilnya, dalam penelitian ini ditemukan perubahan persepsi guru tentang pentingnya membangun kecerdasan emosionalsiswa. Adanya perubahan perilaku belajar siswa menjadi lebih bersemangat mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran juga menjadi salah satu hasil dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to describe the intrinsic elements and inner conflicts of the main characters in the novel Pergi. This research is a descriptive research using content analysis method and using literary psychology approach which is conducted for six months, starting from May 2018 to October 2018. The source of data used in this study is in the form of documents and interviews. Documents in the form of  Novel Pergi by Tere Liye. The research subject was taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection is done by analyzing documents and interviews. Validity test used is triangulation of theory and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques used are interactive model analysis which includes data collection, reduction activities, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research procedure consists of the preparation stage, the implementation phase, and the report preparation phase. The results of this study indicate the following two things. First, Novel Pergi has complete intrinsic elements consisting of 7 elements. Second, the Bujang character has an element of id, ego, and superego, which sometimes between the three is not in line and causes inner conflict within him.
