Jurnal Islam Nusantara is published by the LTN PBNU Jakarta, Indonesia with its main aim to spread critical and original analysis from researchers and academic practitioners on various contemporary Islamic Thought issues in cross-perspective based on Islam Nusantara approach. The journal puts emphasis on various contemporary Islamic thought issues in cross-perspective based on Islam Nusantara approach. It’s scope consists of ; (1) Al-Qur’an and Hadits, (2) Theology, (3) Islamic mysticism, (4) Islamic Education and Management, (5) Islamic Law, (6) Islamic Economics, (7) Islamic art and history, and (8) philosophy. All submitted papers are subject to double-blind review process.

<![CDATA[Pesantren as the oldest Islamic educational institution in the archipelago is a place for the regeneration of ulama carried out by propagators of Islam to the indigenous population. Pesantren from its inception until now has been able to survive even though in its long journey it has faced many dynamics of changing times. The Pesantren Al-Fatah Lahat is an Islamic boarding school located in Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province, founded by Kyai H. Ramlan Fauzi bin H. Hasanuddin bin H. Husein bin Delames bin Reseh bin Rijal Penghulu bin Magdum on December 6, 2007 M., to coincide with the 26th Dzul-qa'dah 1428 H. This article is the first article to examine the development and teaching of the Pesantren Al-Fatah Lahat, which is a historical analysis from 2007 to 2015. This pesantren is located in the middle of a heterogeneous urban community life and is a pesantren with a comprehensive typology that combines traditional and modern teaching systems. The method used in this research is the historical method. At first (2007) Pesantren Al-Fatah Lahat prioritized the Qur’an with all aspects of its knowledge. Then established a formal education level MTs. The development of Al-Fatah in 2011 began to be recognized by MTs Al-Fatah around the Lahat district over time until 2015 this pesantren was not only students from the Lahat area, there were also from various areas outside the Lahat district.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to understand and analyze people's perceptions of the existence of Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyatul Muallimien al-Islamiyah (TMI) Al-Amien Prenduan, Sumenep, Madura. This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through display data, data reduction, and concluding. The results showed that the community had a positive perception of the existence of the Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyatul Muallimien al-Islamiyah (TMI) Al-Amien Prenduan. The community provides a good and positive label and image for the boarding school with the attitude of the pesantren which has high disciplinary values, educators who care about their students, are ready for use in society, and students who have multi-competence and talent, so that the pesantren is in great demand by the surrounding community as the institution of choice for their sons and daughters.]]>

<![CDATA[The outbreak of Corona Virus Disease or known as COVID-19, appeared for first time in China, precisely in Wuhan at the end of 2019. This virus then quickly spread to some countries in this world including Indonesia so it is referred to as a pandemic virus. Additionally, COVID-19 has also become a terror for almost all of communities because of its enormous impact in economic, educational, social and even religious aspects. This article is intended to observe about validity of the COVID-19 issues that has been going around among communities against Maqoshid Syari'ah, especially in the community of Pojok village in Blitar Regency. This study applies a qualitative descriptive research method by verifying the data through 3 approaches, namely the data approach, researcher perspective, and theoretical approach. The result indicates that the communities’ belief of the COVID-19 issues validation was based on phenomenon evidence and clarification carried out by the community. By believing the validity of these COVID-19 issues, the community has implemented the shari'ah which is by avoiding (Hifdzudnnafsi) themselves from the dangers of COVID-19. Therefore, the communities of Pojok Village have already implemented dharuhiyyat as an effort to protect the ummah and also apply certain prayers such as sholawat Tibbil Qulub and Li Khomsatun sholawat to seek protection to Allah SWT.]]>

<![CDATA[This study examines the concept of Abdul Qadir al-Jailani's Sufism which is oriented towards moral Sufism. His teachings are centered on improving human morals. Moral perfection in humans can be realized by purification of the soul through the stages of self-purification. This research is a library research, using the formal object of virtue ethics and the material object is the moral thought of Sufism Abdul Qadir al-Jailani. This research is library research. the method used is qualitative with content analysis techniques Interpretation, coherence and holistic. The results of this study indicate that the thought of Abdul Qadir al-Jailani's Sufism emphasizes the aspects of improving individual human behavior through several stages of purification of the soul: repentance, zuhud, tawakal, patience, honesty, gratitude, and pleasure. The ethics of virtue in the Sufism of Abdul Qodir al-Jailani directs the focus of his attention on human being which is oriented to self-improvement as a good or bad person.]]>

<![CDATA[Javanese tradition will always be associated with rituals. However, rituals that have the value of Islamic education in the archipelago will be useful as the spread of islam. Likewise, this research is about the educational values of Nusantara Islam in the tradition of the Friday Pahing night market in the village of Menggoro. The purpose of this study is to find the educational values of Nusantara Islam by first knowing the background of tradition, then the rituals that axist in the tradition. The process of collecting data is done by nterviewing various sources needed in the research. The material from the interviews obtained and study show that in the friday night market tradition, there are values of Islamic education in the archipelago, namely historical, religious, and moral values. The pahing Friday night tradition teaches ethics so that it is not easy to judge someone by what they see, then makes us aware to always remember and be grateful to Allah SWT, realize that we are in a temporary world, so we must remember death it also reminds people to give money to charity. This research is important to do in the field of traditions that have existed for a long time and experience, especially in the Islamic tradition. ]]>

<![CDATA[In the holy book of the Qur’an there is Surat Al-Kafirun verse 6, which reads "lakum diinukum wa liyadiin," which means "For you your religion, and for me my religion." In this letter it is sufficient to show how tolerance is in religion. The research examines issues that focus on (1) What is the Reasoning for the Tolerance of the NU Banser? (2) Why did the death of Riyanto in the Praxis of Religious Tolerance during Christmas Celebration at Eben Haezar Mojokerto Church in 2000? This research uses field studies and literature reviews with an empirical and historical sociological approach. From the results obtained the following answers: (1) NU Banser understands Ahlussunnah Wal Jamaah and there is tasamuh which is seen as Ukhuwah Insaniyah (humanity) and Ukhuwah Wathaniyah (nationalism) which are the basic principles of tolerance for religious diversity, so that NU and BANSER always trying to create, maintain, maintain tolerance for religious diversity, (2) BANSER Riyanto was in charge of safeguarding the 2000 Christmas celebration at the Eben Haezar Mojokerto Church and died along with a bomb explosion to save the Christmas congregation.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to understand the meaning of nusyuz in the Qur'an through Toshihiko Istuzu's semantic study. This is because there are different solutions when nusyuz is carried out by the husband (male) and wife (female), which seems to be in favor of the male. To find out the cause of these differences, it is necessary to trace the deep meaning of the meaning of nusyuz. This research uses qualitative methods from library data (library research) to produce answers and conclusions from these problems. Meanwhile, the data analysis used content analysis, which resulted in the conclusion that there was no difference in the meaning of nusyuz between husband and wife. The difference is only found in the solution taken when the nusyuz is carried out by the husband or wife, as is common and is explained in the text of the dhahir verse of the Qur'an (Q.S. Al-Nisa' (4): 34 and 128).]]>

<![CDATA[This research focuses on the Values of Tawhid Education. This study aims to find out how the education of monotheism according to Sayid Ahmad Al-Marzuki in the Aqidatul Awam book. Tawhid is the essential teaching because it contains instructions about the recognition of the oneness of Allah SWT as a consequence and pure existence and is a foundation and principle as a place for all deeds, and in essence, is to form a monotheistic human being. This research is library research, which focuses on discussing literature related to the focus of research, such as books that can be used as a reference source. In the results of this study, researchers found the value of monotheism education in Sheikh Ahmad Al-Marzuki that faith education consists of faith in Allah, Angels, books, Apostles, the last day, and qadha and qadar. The value of monotheism education is also closely related to Allah SWT, oneself, and fellow human beings.]]>

<![CDATA[Currently, there are various issues related to religion which have become a serious topic to be discussed. As an organization that makes Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah (ASWAJA) as the Basic Value of the Movement (NDP), PMII certainly has an important role in producing young mujtahid cadres who are able to respond to the reality they face by maintaining the spirit of aswaja. This study aims to describe the instillation of aswaja values on cadres at PMII UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. The moral values that are instilled in the PMII organization are the values of tasamuh, tawasuth, tawazun, and ta'adul. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of the research analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of aswaja values has been applied by high-ranking PMII UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang to its members. This pattern of inculcating or implementing the values of self-reliance is elaborated through PMII's main activities such as in routine studies and discussion forums.]]>

<![CDATA[Wacana pembahasan perbandingan genealogi Walisongo dalam karya ulama nusantara mengundang perhatian untuk dikaji. Tulisan ini membahas kajian genealogi walisongo dalam turast pesantren melalui kitab AhlÄ al-MusÄmarah fÄ« HikÄyÄt al-AuliyÄ’ al-‘Asyrah karya Syekh Abul Fadhol Senori dan kitab Tarikh Auliya’ karya KH. Bisri Mustofa. Mereka berdua merupakan dua ulama’ Nusantara yang karyanya membahas tentang para wali di Jawa. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian memperlihatkan bayaknya persamaan genealogi Walisongo antara kitab AhlÄ al-MusÄmarah fÄ« HikÄyÄt al-AuliyÄ’ al-‘Asyrah karya Syekh Abul Fadhol Senori dengan Kitab Tarikh Auliya’ karya KH. Bisri Mustofa baik dari segi nama tokoh maupun toponimnya. Namun juga terdapat sedikit perbedaan genealogi Walisongo dari masing-masing kitab tersebut. Keduanya merupakan kitab karya kiai pesantren pesisir pantai utara yang cukup produktif dalam menghasilkan kitab kuning khas pesantren.]]>
