Abstract

Every Muslim who believes is encouraged to pray to the prophet known as tawassul (intermediary), shalawat nariyah contains praise and prayers to the prophet made by scholars without any teachings in the Hadith and the Koran. The purpose of this study is to see that shalawat nariyah is included in the recommendation of the Islamic religion as exemplified by the prophet or heresy?. The method of analysis used descriptive-comparative. The results showed that tawasul to the prophet and Allah's beloved creatures is allowed, while shalawat nariyah is a category of bid'ah Hashanah which is good because of the contents of shalawat nariyah are prayers and praises to the prophet. The hadith of the prophet showing praise and prayer to the prophet as an intermediary to get closer to Allah is highly recommended and sunnah practice it, with the intention of remaining Allah as a god who must be worshiped so as not to become shirk. The theoretical implications of this research provide a meeting point for shalawat nariyah in the hadith that relying on the prophet is recommended as long as it does not go outside the norms of Islam.

Abstract

The discourse of religious moderation is still an interesting discussion, especially among academics. Some circles greeted religious moderation with a positive and negative responses. This study aims to formulate the concept of religious moderation based on other approaches or not the same as in general, such as Sufism, renewal of thought, secularization, and local wisdom. Through the library research method strengthened by interviews, observations, and sources of written documents, whether articles, books, or online news, this research concluded that Sufism could prevent radical behavior because it is precisely radical inward, in contrast to extremists who are radically patterned outwards. Second, the enlightenment of religious thought, mainly carried out by the Nahdlatul Ulama circle, plays a strategic position in stemming radical thinking. Third, the accusations of religious moderation that are considered projects of religious secularization are very unfounded and excessive because they do not fit the context of space and time. Fourth, one of the moderate indicators is to appreciate local wisdom, not that it means that you must like or follow the existing traditions and culture.

The informants in this study consisted of 23 informants, namely the chairman, secretary, treasurer, and 20 mustahiq recipients of assistance from Lazisnu Sendangagung. Then the data that has been obtained is analyzed through several stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results show that the innovation of the Lazisnu program can be felt by the village community with a high level of objectivity and actuality in social life accompanied by a sense of brotherhood, unity, and independence, and not to forget solid religious symbols through awareness for zakat, infaq, and shodaqoh. This research implies that it is expected to be a suggestion for institutions to continue to develop existing programs. In addition, the limitations in this study were only conducted on one Lazisnu, and the informants in this study were limited, so it is hoped that future research can explore Lazisnu in East Java so that information related to Zizwaf management is more comprehensive.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how Badiuzzaman Said Nursi views the relation of shari'a, tariqat, and haqiqat and how the concept of Badiuzzaman Said Nursi in his Sufism journey and what is behind the birth of the concept of Sufism. The method used in this research is qualitative with the type of library research. The study results show that Nursi's view of the relation of shari'a, tariqat, and haqiqat cannot be separated from one another because all three are three paths with one goal. Nursi abbreviated several concepts in his Sufism journey with four concepts sourced from the Qur'an, including weakness (al-'Ajz), poverty (al-Faqr), and compassion (al-Syafaqah), thinking and contemplating (Tafakkur). Something behind Badiuzzaman Said Nursi in his Sufism revitalization discourse is due to the rampant deviations committed by Sufistic practitioners in Turkey.

Abstract

This paper aims to understand the spiritual revitalization of millennial youth through a religious trilogy as the three foundations of scientific foundations in Islam. This study uses a qualitative method of library research. The data analysis technique uses analysis content. The study results show that the Religion trilogy is a term from the three main foundations of Islam, namely Sharia, aqidah, and morals. Islam represents Sharia, Iman represents Akidah, and Ihsan represents Morals. Faith is, in the first place, functioning as the foundation of life. Adolescents can support various winds and storms of life if their creed or faith is of high quality; like a building, teenagers have a solid foundation that can support other buildings. The second order is Sharia; it regulates attitudes-interaction with His Lord and attitudes-interaction with others. Adolescents with good sharia quality will be able to stand up to the problems that arise in society. The third order is morality, which functions as a decoration, beautifies and beautifies the view. The Religious Trilogy must be understood correctly and adequately for success as Caliph Fi al-Ard'I has a religious-nationalist-ethical-humanistic personality.

Abstract

This paper studies the essence of Islam in the discourse of  Puritan Islam and Indigenous Islam in Indonesia. The Muslim community in Indonesia is now fragmented into two distinct groups. The first group considers that the essence of Islam must follow Middle Eastern traditions in all its aspects. The second group considers that the essence of Islam must adapt to local traditions/cultures as long as it does not conflict with the holy text of the Qur'anQur'an and Sunnah of Muhammad SAW. The purpose of this research is to explore what the essence of Islam in Indonesia should be. The method used in this paper is a literature study through Nasr Hamid  Abu Zayd's hermeneutic approach with his ideas related to the reading of the Qur'an through the historical context and criticism of Quranic verses. The results of the study indicate that the essence of Indonesian Islam is Indigenous Islam because Islam should be able to synergize with all times and places and thus be able to have a dialectic with the plurality of culture and society so that Islam can be accepted by all, including Indonesian cultures that is different from the Middle Eastern culture.
