This research is motivated by students' science process skills that are still low. Factors that cause low science process skills are low mastery of students' concepts of subject matter. The purpose of this study is 1) to describe the implementation of learning with the implementation of an advance organizer model based on concept maps on learning activities and student learning outcomes, 2) to determine the implementation of the advance organizer model based on concept maps can improve student learning activities, 3) to determine the implementation of the model advance organizer based on concept maps can improve student learning outcomes on the concept of the reproductive system, 4) to find out the response of the students to the implementation of the advance organizer model based on concept maps of learning activities and student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is mixed methods research. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling in two classes, namely the experimental class and 40 students for the control class. The research instrument used is the student activity task and rubric, concept mastery essay test, student response questionnaire on learning and teacher and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing statistics shows the value of Sig. amounting to 0.415 0.05, with a value of t = 4.855 with Sig. 0,000 0,05 means that the implementation of the advance organizer model based on concept maps can improve student learning activities on the concept of the reproductive system in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Lumbung, Ciamis Regency. Based on the results of hypothesis testing statistics shows the value of Sig. amounting to 0.422 0.05, with a value of t = 8.336 with Sig. 0,000 0,05 means that the implementation of the advance organizer model based on concept maps can improve student learning outcomes in the concept of the reproductive system in class XI of SMA 1 Lumbung, Ciamis Regency. The conclusion in this study is the implementation of an advance organizer model based on concept maps can improve student activity and learning outcomes on the concept of reproductive systems in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Lumbung, Ciamis RegencyKeywords: Advance organizer model; Concept map; Activity and student learning outcomes

Learning assessment which is usually used has not facilitated the developing of cognitive structure and critical thinking in problem solving. It gives an effect to the learning result which is not satisfied yet. One of the assessment which develops the meaningful learning is map concept. The aim of the research is to analysis accomplished learning, map concept quality which is arranged by the students, the developing of cognitive structure and critical thinking, the relationship between map concept quality which is arranged by the students and the developing of cognitive structure and critical thinking. The research is a quasi experiment with Randomized Pretest Post Test Control Group Design. The research population is all the 9th grader students in SMPN 1 Karangkancana Kuningan in academic year 2015/2016. The number of the students is 116. The sample of the research is taken by Simple Random Technique, 58 students. The achievement of research result is (1) The accomplished of learning is categorized “good”, every stage of learning in accordance with the planning but still found obstacles. (2) The map quality concept which is categorized “fair” and “bad”, and no category of “high “ , which is designed learning has not been able to facilitate students in the achievement of the four components of the concept maps perfectly. (3) There is a significant progress in structure cognitive and students critical thinking is categorized “fair”, students are not familiar with the of learning that develops the cognitive structure and critical thinking. (4) There is a positive correlation between map concept quality and students critical thinking which is categorized “strong”, and there is linearity unidirectional nature, every increase in the quality of concept maps followed by an increase in critical thinking. (5) The student positive is categorized “almost all”, students are very enthusiastic and very active in learning activities. It can be concluded that map concept assessment can develop cognitive structure and students critical thinking, also, there is a significant relationship between map quality concept and students critical thinkingKeywords : Concept Map Assessment; Cognitive Structure; Critical Thinking;Problem Based Learning

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan retensi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan pre test post test control group design dan menggunakan sampel penelitian sebanyak 52 siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Kuningan. Rata-rata N-gain keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk kelas eksperimen 0,7 (kategori tinggi) dan kelas kontrol 0,4 (kategori sedang). Sedangkan tingkat retensi siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk kelas kontrol 34,6% (kategori baik), 30,8% (kategori sangat baik) dan kelas eksperimen 30,8% (kategori baik), 46,1% (kategori sangat baik).

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the PBL learning model to the improvement of critical thinking skills and the ability to argue students of SMA Negeri 1 Salem class X even semester 2018/2019 on the concept of environmental pollution. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The study was conducted in two meetings. Learning activities are divided into two parts, namely learning activities outside the classroom (outdoor study) during the PBL 1-3 phase and learning in the classroom during the PBL 4-5 phase. The results showed the application of the PBL model based on outdoor study was carried out well there was an increase in the score of students' critical thinking skills at a pretest score of 18.9 to a posttest of 23.69 the ability of student argumentation in the average experimental class is at level 2, meaning that students already have the ability to submit claims or opinions built by students based on their knowledge and students are able to provide reasons or data to support the claim statement. Control class argumentation ability is at level 1 the positive response of students to learning PBL models based on outdoor studies is 89.4% with very strong criteria.

This research is the tendency of students who only received learning material sourced from teachers through lectures, so that students are less active in the learning process more towards teacher centered. Because during the learning process in the classroom only emphasize knowledge of low-level thinking, students should be able to develop the ability of critical thinking and argumentation skills of students during the learning process so that it will get used to argue and higher level thinking. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of PBL models to improve the ability of critical thinking and argumentation skills as well as to determine the relationship between the ability of critical thinking skills and argumentation skills. The method used Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study is the class X.1 and X.2 Senior High School PGRI 1 Majalengka in 2015/2016 school year and totaling 47 students. Sampling was done by using cluster random sampling, were divided into 2 groups: PBL model class with 24 students and other class are not using PBL as many as 23 students. Instruments in this research is the description of critical thinking skills and argumentation skills test, observation sheets and questionnaires for students. Hypothesis test using parametric statistical tests in this case to test the hypothesis of implementation PBL models to enhance the critical thinking skills using Manova test was obtained p 0.05 is 0.01 0.05, which means there is an increased implementation of the PBL model of critical thinking skills of students and hypothesis test of implementation PBL model to enhance argumentation skills of was obtained p 0.05 is 0.03 0.05, which means there is an increased implementation of the PBL model of argumentation skills of the students, as well as the correlation coefficient to determine the relationship of critical thinking skills and the skills of argumentation studied through the PBL model obtained p 0.05 is 0.049, which means there is an interaction between critical thinking skills and argumentation skillsKeywords: PBL Model; Critical Thinking Skills; Argument Skills

The low understanding of the students on the biology materials in the learning process of science causes the students' repetition value to be low. With by this background the aim of this research was to know the cognitive ability and critical thinking ability of students who in their learning process apply Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model by using exelearning. The sample in this research is 40 students of class VIII in MTs Negeri 2 Cirebon. The sampling technique used in determining the sample was Purposive random sampling. This research uses experimental method with one class given treatment and other class not given treatment that acts as control. From the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that the cognitive ability and critical thinking ability of students using PBL (Problem Based Learning) model with exelearning assistance was superior compared to using the lecture model on the concept of human excretion system. The improvement of students' cognitive ability in the experimental class seen from the N-Gain value reached 0.73 (high) compared to the control class which only reached 0.13 (low). As for the increase gain N-Gain value of 0.71 (height) and control class reaches the value of 0.25 (low)Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model (PBL); Exelearning; Cognitive Ability; Critical Thinking Skill

The problem in this research is the low of creativity and student learning outcomes that are the result of the learning process. Changes in the learning process of teaching paradigm centered on the teacher becomes a student-centered teaching paradigm. One model student-centered learning and the emphasis on the student's ability to acquire knowledge or experience of learning is learning Inquiry-Based Laboratory. The method used is the method mix (mixed methods) with the design of pretest and posttest control group design. The population of this research is the seven graders students of SMPN Darma Kabupaten Kuningan and while the sample was taken from one school by using two classes as the simple random sampling. The experimental group was treatment by using the Inquiry-Based Learning Laboratory, while the control group using conventional learning. The instruments used are observation sheets, worksheets student creativity, achievement test, and the student questionnaire responses. Based on the research and analysis of data, obtained an average N-gain creativity of the students of 0,706 for the control class were high and 0,780 for class experiments were high. While the average N-gain creativity of the students of 0,498 for the control class medium category and 0,633 for the experimental class medium category. The results of hypothesis testing students' creativity by using the Wilcoxon test, obtained the experimental class zhitung = 5,202 zhitung = 4,905 grade control, it indicates that the creativity of the students using inquiry-based learning Laboratory better than use of conventional models. While the calculation result of student learning outcomes by using Paired Samples t Test, obtained t hitung = 16.029 experimental class thitung = 14.627 control class, it shows that student learning outcomes in material processing of domestic wastewater using learning Inquiry-Based Laboratory better than the use of conventional modelsKeywords: Inquiry Based Laboratory; Creativity Student; Student Results

The purpose of the research is to get the description of science literacy skill and technology after the learning process through science technology society learning model in the sub-concept of water pollution. The method that I used is free eksperimental and the sample of the research is the class X of MIPA 4 from the population of the class X SMAN 2 Indramayu. The research instruments are observation sheet which purposing in analyzing the science literacy and technology of the student, multiple choice consisting of 20 questions which are given through pretest and posttest, and questionnaire which analyze the student’s response after the learning. The observation result shows that in the science technology society learning model have few obstacles: inadequate of facilities and infrastructure, students’ lack of the knowledge, lack of preparation and lack of time. In general, the students are quite capable to do three kinds of the science literacy aspects and two kinds aspects of technology literacy. The three aspects of science literacy includes: explanation in regards to the scientific phenomena, designing and evaluating scientific exploration, and the use of scientific evidence. Technology literacy includes: management and evaluation of information gathers from all source of media and understanding the utilization of technology. Learning through Science technology society model can improved the student’s science and technology literacy in gaining knowledge, skill and attitude. The knowledge that the student get are more meaningful and will be longer lasting in their mind. Based on the analyisi the mean Pretest is 49,5 and the mean () posttest is 70,7. After that, I conducted the test of t and the result is thitung (0,86) ttabel (0,05), which means this is significantly different. The analysis of questionnaire shows that most of the students give positive response to the indicator with the mean of them is more than 75%Keywords: Science Literacy; Technolgy Literacy; Science technology society; Water Pollution

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) Implikasi gaya berpikir dalam pembelajaran model kooperatif berbantuan media informasi dan komunikasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Ekosistem. (2) Implikasi interaksi sosial dalam pembelajaran model kooperatif berbantuan media informasi dan komunikasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Ekosistem. (3) Implikasi gaya berpikir dan interaksi sosial dalam pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan media informasi dan komunikasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Ekosistem. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen. Populasi yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X program IPA SMA Negeri 1 Ciwaru Kabupaten Kuningan. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik random ( random sampling) terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas X IPA 1 dan X IPA 2. Kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen terdiri dari 30 siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jig saw berbantuan media informasi dan komunikasi, dan kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol terdiri dari 30 siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik tes dan non tes. Uji hipotesis menggunakan Anova dua jalur (univariat). Pada penelitian ini pengujian hipotesis menggunakan bantuan software SPSS Versi 22. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) Gaya berpikir dalam pembelajaran kooperatif tidak berimplikasi secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. 2) Interaksi sosial dalam pembelajaran kooperatif tidak berimplikasi secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. 3) Gaya berpikir secara bersamaan dengan Interaksi sosial siswa tidak berimplikasi secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswaKeywords: Gaya Berpikir; Interaksi Sosial; Model Kooperatif; Media Informasi Komunikasi; Prestasi Belajar

This study aimed to improve the critical thinking ability and scientific attitude of junior high school students’ using implementation of inquiry learning with android at plant classification.This research method use quasy experiment with research design pre-test post-test control group design. The Population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Garawangi 2019/2020 academic years. The sample in the research using the purporsive samples. The experiment class was treated using an inquiry learning with android model consisting of 29 students and the control class was treated with conventional method consisting of 28 students’. Data collection use a description test for critical thinking skills, a scientific attitude rubic for scientific attitudes and a questionnaire for student responses. Research hypothesis testing uses paired two-sample T-test with the help of SPSS 17 software. The results of the research showed that: (1) the implementation of learning inquiry model with android is well implemented, marked by an average percentage of 100 % with a very upward category. (2) There is an increased in students’ critical thinking ability with moderate N-gain criteria (0,55) and the calculated value of 10,136 at the sig level 0,05. (3) Scientific attitudes get an average total value (80) including both categories. (4) There is a corretation between students’ critical thinking ability with students’ scientific attitudes with a probability coefficient of 0,001 0,025 and a pearson correlation value of 0,442**.(5) The majority of student (88%) gave positive responses to the application of the inquiry model with android. Thus, students’ critical thinking ability and scientific attitudes increase through the model inquiry with android
