Abstract

This study aimed to obtain information about logical thinking ability and understanding of the concept of students on the hormonal system material. This study was conducted in class XI in one of the high schools in the Serang city. The method used is descriptive quantitative. This quantitative descriptive method to describe, explain and interpret the logical thinking ability and understanding of students on the hormonal system concept by using instruments such as diagnostic tests and about the three-tier test and test of logical thinking (TOLT). The sampling technique is done by cluster random sampling as many as 33 students. Based on the results obtained TOLT that categorized either proportional reasoning, reasoning control variable and low category correlational reasoning, and reasoning probability and combinatorial reasoning sufficient category. Based on the three-tier test results showed that students had difficulty understanding especially on subconcepts hormone function as well as differences in the hormone system and nervous system

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain comparative increase in the creativity of the students who get a guided inquiry learning with students getting conventional learning. The method used is a quasi experiment conducted on students in one elementary school in Indramayu, West Java province with a number of 32 students. The research data was collected through a written test (posttest), observation, and questionnaire responses of teachers and students on the use of virtual simulation media in guided inquiry learning. Learning model inquiry guided to a class experiment, which lasted for three meetings, and begins with the initial tests and ends with a final test showed that there were differences in the ability of the creativity of students in both classes with a mean final test students' creativity 83.64 for an experimental class and the average class before 53.54 , Conclusions drawn based on the results of data processing and analysis using statistical Mc Nemar: 6.604, to the achievement of creative abilities of students obtained results that increase the ability of creativity of students in the experimental class with previous classes differ significantly. So that the application of guided inquiry learning model with the approach of inquiry on the subject of breathing in humans can be further increased kankarakter creativity and student learning outcomes compared with conventional learning. Most of the students are motivated to take an active role in the learning process, and wants Application of IT-based guided inquiry models that could be applied to other biological materials. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui perbedaan kesadaran metakognitif siswa melaksanakan pembelajaran model model guided inquiry dan inquiry training. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only with non-equivalent group design.  Pada penelitian ini digunakan kelompok eksperimen I berupa model pembelajaran  guided inquiry  dan kelompok eksperimen II berupa model pembelajaran inquiry training. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) untuk mengukur kesadaran metakognitif. Data dianalisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial (T-tes dengan α= 0,05).  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan kesadaran metakognitif siswa yang melaksanakan pembelajaran model guided inquiry dan inquiry training.

Abstract

This study is entitled the aims of study to analyze the implementation of the Group Investigation learning model, analyze differences in the creativity of student investigation between the control class and the experimental class, analyze the ability of student presentations between the control class and the experimental class and to determine the response of student’s to the learning. The research method used was the Quasy Experiment with the Nonequivalent Control Group research design. The population in this study were all students of X-MIA class 1 Jamblang Senior High School 2017/2018 Academic Year. The sample in the study were students of class X-MIA 3 as an experimental class using the Group Investigation learning model and X-MIA 6 class as a control class with Discovery Learning learning model. The results showed (1) the implementation of Group Investigation model learning was carried out very well starting from the introduction to closing activities with an average percentage of 83.7%. (2) there are differences in student’s investigative creativity ability between the experimental class and the control class, in the creativity experiment class they investigate it better than the control class. (3) there are differences in presentation skills between the experimental class and the control class, in the experimental class student's presentation skills are better than the control class. (4) 53.3% of students gave a strong response, while the remaining 46.7% of students gave a very strong response, so that the average student gave a strong response to the Group Investigation learning modeKeywords: Investigative Creativity Ability; Presentation Ability; Group Investigation Learning

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan hasil belajar pada sub konsep psikotropika di salah satu SMA Negeri Kota Tasikmalaya. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas XII MIA 1 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 36 siswa dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes, tes yang digunakan berupa tes essay dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 14 soal untuk mengetahui berpikir kritis dan tes pilihan ganda (multiple choice) dengan jumlah soal 27 untuk melihat hasil belajar siswa. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan uji korelasi dan uji regresi linier sederhana. Pada penelitian ini terdapat korelasi yang positif antara berpikir kritis dengan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,364 < 0,05 dan juga ditemukan nilai f hitung sebesar 0,847 dan signifikasi sebesar 0,364 > 0.05 dapat disimpulkan bahwa berpikir kritis mempengaruhi hasil belajar peserta didik pada sub konsep psikotropika sebesar 24 %.

Abstract

The focus of the problem in this study is student's low learning achievement and scientific attitude on the subject of Respiratory System. To anticipate these problems, it is necessary some effort to improve the student's learning achievement and scientific attitudes, by implementing the Guided Inquiry-Based Practicum. The research method used a combination methods of research (mixed methods), which uses the design of Exploratory Design. This study used two treatment groups, experimental class (class VIII-E, 34 students) implementing guided inquiry-based practicum, and control class (class VIII-A, 34 students) using ordinary practicum. Instrument used in this research are observation sheet of learning implementation, learning result test, student performance test, and student response questionnaire to implementation of guided inquiry based practicum. The result of descriptive analysis shows that the mean score of the student's learning achievement of experimental class is 75,59 and the control class is 61,18. The result of research data used t-test Paired Sample. Based on hypothesis test results obtained sig.0.000 (0,05) then H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of guided inquiry-based practicum can improve learning achievement and scientific attitudes of students of SMPN 2 Plered on the subject of human respiratory systemKeywords: Guided Inquiry; Based Practicum; Learning Achievements; Scientific Attitudes

Abstract

This research is motivated by sense of knowing from researcher about the feasibility of biological materials used in Madrasah Aliyah. Learning Objectives MANU Putri Buntet Pesantren Cirebon focuses on achieving the vision and realizing the mission. Based on the results of observation of learning and interviews with biology teachers, it was found that to support the achievement of learning objectives in MANU Putri Buntet Pesantren Kabupaten Cirebon required instructional materials designed with attention to the characteristics and needs of students according to the characteristics of the school. This research uses research and development method about instructional system approach. The research procedure includes five major stages of instructional design development as analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Products of research and development in the form of Bioteistik module. Bioteistic module teaching materials have been validated and obtained an average score of 79.17% falling within the eligible category. Bioteistic Implementation. Bioteistic modules have been validated and gained in learning significantly optimizing the internalization aspects of students' attitude values. Internalization of religious and environmental values of each observation 96,43% and 82.97 % and 81.68 % are both categorized as entrenched. Implementation of Bioteistic Module at MANU Putri Buntet Pesantren  Cirebon get positive response from teachers and students. This study shows that the Bioteistic module teaching materials are feasible to be implemented and effective in optimizing student learning outcomes especially in the affective domainKeywords: Module; Bioteistik; Value of Religious Character; Caring Environmental;

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the implementation of lab activities based Vee diagram to bring out students metacognitive skill and increasing students' learning achievement to the excretory system. Quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design was conducted to the classes. Lab activities based Vee diagram was implemented to the experimental class and lab activities based guided inquiry was implemented to the control class. The sample was determined by purposive sampling technique. Data of the research was obtained from student’ worksheet that applying metacognitive strategies and the result of  pre test and post test. Metacognitive skills of experimental class is higher than the control class. Based on analysis, metacognitive skills of experimental class was 75.0 and metacognitive skill of control class was 67.8. Learning achievement of experimental class is higher than control class. The results of the test showed an increasing (N gain) of learning achievement experimental class was 0.53 and control class was 0.41. T test showed t count t table, which means that there are significant differences between pre-test and post test. Correlation test results showed the corellation between metacognitive skills and learning achievement is very high at 96.7%Keywords: Vee diagram; Guided inquiry; Metacognitive skill; Learning achievement

Abstract

The purpose of this study is 1) to describe the implementation of learning by implementing a project based learning model of learning towards scientific attitudes and student creativity on the concept of waste recycling, 2) to obtain data on the implementation of project based learning model learning can improve scientific attitudes on the concept of waste recycling, 3) to determine the implementation of project based learning model learning can increase student creativity on the concept of waste recycling, 4) to uncover student responses by implementing a project based learning model of learning towards scientific attitudes and student creativity on the concept of waste recycling.The method used in this research is the experimental method. With the technique of sampling by cluster random sampling in 2 classes each can get 34 students for the experimental class and 34 students for the control class. The research instrument used was the task and rubric of students' scientific attitudes, tasks and rubrics of creativity, questionnaires for student responses to learning and observation sheets of teacher and student activities. Data analysis techniques used were normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. Based on the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test showed the value of t = 4.476 with Sig. 0.001 0.05 means that the implementation of the project based learning model of learning can improve scientific attitudes on the concept of waste recycling. Based on the results of hypothesis testing shows the value of t = 8.486 with Sig. 0.001 0.05 means that the implementation of the project based learning model of learning can increase student creativity in the concept of waste recycling. The conclusion in this study is the implementation of the project based learning model of learning can improve students' scientific attitudes and creativity on the concept of waste recycling in SMA Negeri 1 Cigugur.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad 21 memiliki prinsip pokok bahwa pembelajaran harus berpusat pada siswa, bersifat kolaboratif, kontekstual, dan terintegrasi dengan masyarakat. Dominansi pendekatan teacher center menyebabkan aktivitas siswa rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran jigsaw untuk meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dan untuk mengetahui kendala-kendala yang dialami dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran jigsaw pada pembelajaran IPA Biologi di sekolah menengah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi literatur dengan jenis narrative review. Berdasarkan hasil studi literatur diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran jigsaw dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa sekolah menengah pada pembelajaran IPA biologi dan terdapat kendala yang dialami seperti membutuhkan waktu yang lama, kurangnya kerjasama siswa, dalam pembentukan kelompok suasana kelas masih kurang kondusif dan siswa masih belum terbiasa menggunakan model pembelajaran jigsaw.
