Abstract

Background of this research was lowmastery of concept to Sciencesubject in SMP Negeri 3 Sindang Indramayu that was caused of the learning method that were not the student centered and low student attention toward the environment conservation and clean. The purpose of the research was to know the application Project Based Learning Model with the Science of Society Technology Approach to increase the mastery of concept and the student attention attitude toward the environment. The method of the research is Quasi Experimentwith Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this research wereall the students in grade VII of SMP Negeri 3 Sindang in the academic year 2017/2018 that was consist of 8 classrooms in the total of 256 students. The sampling technique of the research was Purposive Random Sampling.  The class that was become a sample was grade VIIC (the control class PJBL without The Science of Society Technology Approach) that was consist of 32 students. And grade VIIB (the experiment class PJBL withThe Science of Society Technology Approach) that was consist of 32 students. The instrument that was used in this research was multiple choice test, question naire and journal observation. Abstract

The background of this research is that learning tends to a cursory understanding, not touching the problems that exist in the environment. This situation occurs when the learning is considered.learning process is only centered on the teacher, students in passive conditions, not actively engaged only to hear And writing what the teacher explained. This causes the students are not eager in learning. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of learning model Student Team Achievement Divison (STAD) to creativity and student learning outcomes, materials classification of woody plants, improving student creativity, Student learning, and student responses at MTs Maarif Cipakem Maleber District. The research method used is experiment, that is one experiment group using Student Team Achievement Divison (STAD) and one control group using lecture method. Implementation of the model (STAD) results of a group of students, teacher presentations, group assignments, tests, comparisons, and rewards. The results obtained from the Students for the average number of post-test experimental class 73.66 is greater than the average post-test class control 19,81, the average number of increase in value (N gain) experimental class 4.94 more Large from the average number of increments (N gain) control class 1.42. That is, there is a difference of students' learning outcomes with the control class. The experimental class students had a higher gain (N gain) than the control class students. While the average creativity of the experimental class students was 72, 81 was greater than the average creativity of the control class students 58,84. Abstract

Target of this research is to explain influence model study of Inquiry to increase  Skill Of Critical thinking, Understanding of Concept and of Psikomotor Student. Research method the used [is] Mixed Methods Research with desain the used [is] Control post-test pre-test group, namely perceive two selected group. Research Subyek [is] class student of X SMK, while research sampel [is] class student of X counted 71 student ( 2 class). Research instrument in the form of tes ability of critical thinking,understanding of conception and student psikomotor. Before instrument used to be test-drive to know validity, realibilitas, mount distinguishing energy and difficulty, except making of mask [do] not  [to] test-drive. Data collecting [pass/through] pre of tes and of pasca tes. Data analysis [done/conducted] with descriptive analysis and to test hypothesis  [to] test independent t. Before test of statistic, beforehand  [to] test assumption in the form of homogeneity and normalitas. Pursuant to data analysis and solution obtained. : ( 1)Applying of  model study of Inquiry have an effect on to uplifting of skill of critical thinking, understanding of concept and psikomotor [at] cell items [in] class of x SMK. Study executed [in] higher experiment class 27% compared to class of control. Result of improvement ( Gain) of[is understanding of experiment class student concept 0,3 [is] higher the than from class of control. Result of improvement ( Gain) skill of critical thinking [of] experiment class student 0,11 [is] higher the than class of control. : ( 2)Applying of model study of praktikum base on Inquiry can improve the understanding of student concept [at] cell items [in] class of X SMK. . Abstract

This research is motivated by students' critical thinking skills in processing information while the learning process is still low. The purpose of this study is 1) to describe the implementation of learning by implementing contextual teaching and learning models through laboratory observation and environmental methods on scientific attitudes and critical thinking of students, 2) to obtain implementation data in contextual teaching and learning models through laboratory observation methods and the environment can improve scientific attitude, 3) to determine the implementation of contextual teaching and learning models through laboratory observation and environmental methods can improve critical thinking skills, 4) to uncover students' responses to the implementation of contextual teaching and learning models through laboratory and environmental observation methods on scientific attitudes and critical thinking students. The method used in this study is a mixed method (mixed methods research design). With the sampling technique using cluster random sampling, there were 2 classes, each of which amounted to 30 students for the experimental class and 30 students for the control class. The research instrument used was task and rubric students' scientific attitudes, essay tests of critical thinking skills, student response questionnaires to learning and observation sheets of teacher and student activities. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis testing shows the value t = 4.476 with Sig. 0.001 0.05 means that the implementation of the contextual teaching and learning model through laboratory observation methods and the environment can improve scientific attitudes. Based on the results of hypothesis testing shows the value t = 8.486 with Sig. 0.001 0.05 means that the implementation of the contextual teaching and learning model through laboratory and environmental observation methods can improve critical thinking skills in plant material at SMA 1 Darma Kuningan. Abstract

The study aims to determine the application of the Investigasi Group learing model in improving the cognitive abilities of students in natural sciences subjects, namely the Excretion System material. This research is a Quasi eksperimental study, with a nonquivalent control group desaign. The population of this study was all students of class VIII 2018/2019 achool year. The research sample is one eksperimental class as a control class. Hypotesis testing using parametric statistical tests using t test obtained tcaount > ttable is 9,337 > 2,682, which means learning using the Group Investigasi model can improve cognitif abilities. Cognitive ability test results abtained the percentage of the average value for the experimental class that is 58,85. N gain results for the medium category and for the control class 0,40 in the medium  category. Form the results of the questionnaire data analysis as many as 89 % of students agreed that tehe Investigasi Geoup model could increase learining motivation. The results showed there was an increase in cognitive abilities in students using the Group Investigasi model

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of knowledge, competence, and attitude of students' science and students' and teachers' responses as a result of Integrated Science lesson with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to the concept  of Global Warming. This research method using quasi eksperimental research. The sample in this study is the seventh grade students of SMP Sultan Agung Source academic year 2016/2017. With cluster random sampling technique, VII B class samples were selected as experimental class which was studied by CTL approach and class VII A as control class subjected to conventional learning. The instrument used is a multiple choice question test that amounts to 25 with attention to indicators leading to the science literature Frame work PISA 2015; A questionnaire of students' science stance and student responses; Teacher interview as teacher response; and observation of learning. Data analysis was performed using Excel 2010 and SPSS 22.0 for Windows. Based on the data analysis of the research results concluded that: (1) Improved students' science knowledge profile as a result of IPA learning Integrated with CTL approach on global warming concept with N-gain 0.59 medium category (2) Increase of students' science competency profile as a result of IPA learning Integrated with CTL approach on global warming concept with N-gain 0.59 medium category (3) Improved students' science attitude profile as a result of IPA learning Integrated with CTL approach on global warming concept with N-gain 0.04 low category (4) Student responses to IPA learning Integrated with CTL approach on the concept of global warming responded positively 81%. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the science process skills and students' scientific attitude through the use of practicum-based learning. The method used is quasy experiment. The research design used is Nonequivalent Control-Group Design. Sampling technique of this research using purposive random sampling. Data collection techniques are: test, observation and questionnaire techniques. The research was conducted at one of Vocational High School in Cirebon City, SMK RISE Kedawung Cirebon. The implementation of this practicum-based learning can be fully (100%) implemented. Practicum-based learning is able to improve students' science process skills before the learning (pretest) the average student score is 38.13, while after learning is 85.27. N-Gain obtained in each indicator of science process skill are observation, prediction, and use a tool or material or source are 1 (one); apply the concept, communicate, interpretation are 0.90;  to plan an experiment is 0,74; The hypothesized is 0.62. The value of improvement students' science process skill indicator based on the highest observation is the indicator of using the tool or the material or the source 47, and the lowest is indicator 28. Improvement scientific attitudes of students based on the highest is prioritizes the proof indicator  48, and the lowest is the indicator of a positive attitude to failure 28. Practicum-based learning is very good and appropriate to be implemented in the learning process because it can be provide experience and skills in working in laboratory environment carefully and according to the procedureKeywords: Practicum-based learning;  Science process skills;  Scientific attitude

Abstract

Research   objectives   analyze   the   feasibility,   increase   creativity,   learning outcomes and student responses to project based learning (PjBL) learning models in making organic pesticides.  The results of the study was found that: The PjBL model of making  organic  pesticides  can  develop  students'  creativity.  The  results  of  the significance hypothesis test 0,0040.05, the initial hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, meaning that there is a difference in the average creativity of students between the experimental class and the control class. Abstract

This study aims to improve the KPS and students' high cognitive abilities after the implementation of self assessment through research-based learning. The research method used is mixed methods with Sequential Exploratory design. The population of this research is the students of class XI one of the vocational competence of nursing skills in Cirebon Regency. The research sample consisted of two classes determined by purposive random sampling technique, namely control class amounted to 27 people and 27 experimental class. The results showed that the average of self-assessment of the experimental class students is 81% with the superior category. The result of observation of experimental class KPS based on teacher observation is 88% with superior category and observation result of control class KPS is 77% with competent category. Thus, KPS increases after the implementation of self assessment. The data of research result of high level cognitive ability obtained by giving cognitive test at cognitive level of C3 until C6 growth and plant growth material in the form of pre test and post test. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and comparative inferential statistics 2 paired sample groups. The result of descriptive analysis shows that the average value of pre test result of experiment class is 45,74 and post test result is 82,96, N-gain 0,70 with high category. The mean value of pre test result of control class 54,72 and post test result is 67,22, N-gain 0,30 with low category. KKM Biology lesson in class XI is 70, this shows the average post test experimental grade above KKM and control class is still below KKM. The result of t test dependent on pre test score and post test of high cognitive ability obtained by significance value 0,00 (sig 0,05) hence Ho refused and Ha accepted. This proves that Self Assessment can improve students' high cognitive abilities. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of Self Assessment can improve the KPS and students' high cognitive abilities on the material growth and development of plants through research-based learningKeywords: Self assessment; Science process skills; High cognitive abilities; Research-based learning

Abstract

The study of X grade biology in high school shows that teachers have not utilized the school environment such as school garden and school field as a medium of learning. School environments are potentially exploited for learning on biodiversity materials, because school environments have a lot of plant diversity in both gene, species and ecosystem levels, as well as the students' science literacy skills are still low that affect student learning outcomes. Therefore overcome these problems one of them is by applying the learning that can cover the science not only from the side of theory, but from the application also is the learning of CTL combined with the utilization of school environmental media. The purpose of this study is to increase the ability of science literacy and to know the improvement of students' cognitive achievement after using CTL learning through the utilization of school environment media on the material of plant biodiversity. The research design used was pre test-post test control group design. In this research design there are two groups selected by purposive sampling, that is group of X grade MIPA-2 as experiment class and  X grade MIPA-1 as control class. Based on the results of research and data analysis, the average gain of science literacy is 0.63 point for the control class seen as the medium category and the average gain for the experimental class is 0.80 point seen as the high category. It means that CTL program through school media environment gives an improfement to science literacy of student, While the average of gain students' cognitive achievement score is  0.29 point for control class see as low category and 0,68 for experiment class seen as medium category. It means that CTL program through school media environment gives an improvment to student’s cognitive achievement. The result of hypothesis testing on posttest data of science literacy, t count t table (8,829 2.015) there is significant difference of posttest value between experiment class and control class. Whereas in posttes data of learning result t value t table (8,763 2.015) there is difference significantly mean posttes value, between experiment class and control class. Observation result of CTL learning implementation through utilization of school environment media can be done very well, at inquiry stage with percentage of 88%, community learning stage 87%, questioning stage 87%, real assessment stage 88%. The result of questionnaire of student response to this learning gave interesting response with value 80%Keywords: CTL learning; School environmental media; Science literacy; Achievement test
