Abstract

This research aims at finding the correlation the atmosphere of organization’s communication with employee’s work motivation of the staffs of Darma Agung University because the optimal work motivation of the staffs is main capital of the institution’s objective. Theory used in this research is S-O-R theory and Human Relation theory. Research method used is correlational methodin which the total population is 60 employees. Technique of collecting data was done by using observation, questionnaires and literature review. Based on research finding that was conducted in Darma Agung University, it can be concluded that the atmosphere of communication in Darma Agung University is categorized in to High level so that it gives effects on employees’ work motivation that is categorized into very high motivation. This is caused by the leaders of Darma Agung University notice the employees’ welfare in which the openness, trust and honesty are always done between the leaders and the employees, vice versa. High work motivation is also caused by each respondent wants to get the appreciation and will to be better than his peers. Research findings show that correlation coefficient (r) = 0.017, significance level (R < 0.05) means that there is a significant correlation between the atmosphere of organization’s communication and work motivation of the employees of Darma Agung University. It means that hypothesis on this research is accepted.

Abstract

Teacher morale can be increased by improving the factors that can influence it. But what is discussed in this study is limited to the factors of principal leadership, work discipline and school facilities. This study aims to determine the effect of the principal's leadership, work discipline and school facilities simultaneously on the morale of teachers of SMP Hang Kesturi Medan. The population of this research is 34 teachers. To determine the number of samples used saturated samples so that the sample is 34 people. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies. While the data analysis technique used is the classical assumption test, multiple regression, t test, F test and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that the leadership of the principal had an effect on the morale of the teachers at SMP Hang Kesturi Medan. There is a positive influence where the better the leadership of the principal, the higher the morale of the teacher will be. This means that teacher morale can be increased by improving the leadership of the principal. Work discipline affects the morale of teachers at Hang Kesturi Middle School Medan. There is a positive influence where the better the work discipline, the higher the morale of the teacher. This means that teacher morale can be increased by improving work discipline. School facilities have an effect on the morale of teachers of SMP Hang Kesturi Medan. There is a positive influence where the better the school facilities, the higher the morale of the teachers. This means that teacher morale can be improved by improving school facilities. Simultaneously there is a significant influence of the principal's leadership, work discipline, school facilities on teacher morale. It is suggested that the principal should be more active in empowering parents and community members, schedule visits to other schools to increase cooperation in the education sector, seek to obtain funds for additional school facilities, and involve staff in managing school resources. It is advisable for the disciplined teacher to note important things in the teaching and learning process and the discipline of completing work according to the specified time. School facilities that need to be repaired with classroom decorations that provide an atmosphere of enthusiasm for learning, use props when delivering subject matter, and maintain the beauty of the school garden. The morale of the teacher can still be improved by improving the quality of teacher results in accordance with the set standards, namely planning learning techniques to improve the abilities of students. Further research is needed by other studies by examining more independent variables on teacher morale.

Abstract

There are many factors influencing work morale, including organizational climate, work environment, work discipline, leadership, commitment, compensation, career development, and promotion and so on. However, this research only examines the factors of work discipline, commitment and organizational climate. This study aims at determining the effect of work discipline, commitment and organizational climate partially and simultaneously on the morale of employees of the Regional Property Management of the Dairi Regency Government. The population of this research is 48 employees. In determining the number of samples, saturated samples are used so that the sample is 48 employees. Data collection techniques in this study are questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies. While the data analysis techniques used are the classical assumption test, multiple regression, partial test, simultaneous test and the coefficient of determination. The results show that the work discipline variable has an effect on the morale of employees at the Regional Property Management of the Dairi Regency Government, where the better work discipline, the higher the morale will also be. The commitment variable has a significant effect on the morale of employees at the Regional Property Management of the Dairi Regency Government, where the better the work commitment, the higher the morale will also be. Organizational climate has a significant effect on the morale of employees at the Regional Property Management of the Dairi Regency Government, where the better the organizational climate, the higher the morale will be. Simultaneously, there is a significant influence on the influence of discipline, commitment, and organizational climate on employee morale. It is recommended that the Head of the Regional Property Management of the Dairi Regency Government should provide an example and provide disciplinary sanctions according to violations committed by subordinates, encourage employee involvement in solving every problem, and provide strong encouragement so that employees commit to work.

Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul Analisis Yuridis Pembentukan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Asahan Nomor 12 Tahun 2013 tentang Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah Kabupaten Asahan Tahun 2013 – 2033: Studi Revisi Peraturan Daerah. Fokus penelitian yang menjadi permasalahan adalah bagaimana analisis hukum pembentukan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Asahan Nomor 12 Tahun 2013 tentang Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah Kabupaten Asahan Tahun 2013 – 2033 (Perda RTRW Asahan), bagaimana pelaksanaan peninjauan kembali, dan upaya pemerintah kabupaten Asahan. Kesimpulan penelitian 1. Aspek substansi dan aspek struktur kaidah hukum telah sesuai materi muatan teknis Peraturan Daerah RTRW Kabupaten Asahan dengan: a. Undang-Undang Nomor 26 Tahun 2007 Tentang Penataan Ruang (UUPR), b. RTRW Nasional Beserta Rencana Rincinya, c. RTRW Provinsi, tetapi aspek formal belum sempurna karena tidak tersedianya Naskah Akademik, 2. Berdasarkan Peninjauan Kembali RTRW Kabupaten Asahan, perlu Revisi karena hasil penilaian yang telah dilakukan kurang dari nilai yang menjadi ketentuan yaitu 77,85 (< 85), dan rekomendasi revisi yaitu perubahan peraturan perundang-undangan dikarenakan memiliki total nilai tingkat perubahan < 20 % yaitu 13,96 %, dan 3. Upaya-upaya Revisi Peraturan Daerah oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Asahan belum dilengkapi Naskah Akademik dan Kajian Lingkungan Hidup Strategis (KLHS).

Abstract

This study aims at implementing work discipline, work motivation, and job performance at the Education Office of North Sumatra Province, the influence of work discipline on work performance at the Education Office of North Sumatra Province, the influence of work motivation on job performance at Education Office of North Sumatera Province, the influence of work discipline and work motivation on job performance at Education Office of North Sumatera Province. The population of research is all employees at Education Department of North Sumatera Province in 2015 as many as 140 people. In this study, the confidence level was set 95% then the sample size (n) = 96.04 is about 96 people. Sample determination technique is stratified random sampling, that is samples taken from each section evenly, that is member of population divided by total of population multiplied by research sample. The work discipline has a positive and significant effect on the employee's performance as seen from the tcount of 7,000 > = 0.05, meaning that the high performance of employees in Education Office of North Sumatera Province is influenced by factors discipline. Work motivation has positive and significant effect on employee performance as seen from titung value of 7,305attable 1,986 (sig 0,000), which is significantly smaller than > = 0,05, meaning that the high of employee performance in Education Office of North Sumatera Province is influenced by factors motivation. Work discipline and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance as seen from the value of Fhitung 45,983attable 1,986 (sig 0,000), which is significant t less than > Ftable 3,09 with sig 0,000 <0,05. Adjusted R-Square value is 0.486, it is known that the contribution of work discipline and work motivation to work performance of 48.60%. This means that the variables of work discipline and work motivation contribute to work performance is 48.60% while the rest of 51.40%, contributed by other un-researched variables such as organizational culture, supervision, leadership, and others. In order for employees to further improve the discipline of work by coming and returning on time, and doing work in accordance with established work procedures, head section should be in upholding discipline so as not to discriminate between employees with one another. In order for employees to further improve the work motivation by not delaying the work to be completed, and to the head of the section should always provide encouragement or motivation by always giving attention in the form of awards to employees who excel or in the form of reprimands to employees who make mistakes in work. In order for employees to pay more attention to their work performance like doing the job that is given seriously and responsible for the work done.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how the influence of the Use of Computer Information Technology by Employees and Team Cooperation on Employee Performance (Case Study at the Medan Academy of Engineering and Aviation Safety Office). This research was carried out on Employees of the Medan Aviation Engineering and Safety Office. Type of quantitative research. The population in the study were 89 people and 30% were made into a sample, namely 30 employees of the ASN in the Central Land Transportation Management Office of Medan I I Region of the Ministry of Transportation, having their address at Jalan Persatuan No. 5 Medan. Test the validity of the data using validity, reliability. Analysis prerequisite test uses multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, normality test, and linearity test. Data analysis techniques using simple regression test and multiple regression Calculation using SPSS for Windows. The results of a single regression analysis show that (1) The Use of Computer Information Technology by Employees has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Medan Academy of Engineering and Aviation Safety Employees with a t test value of 10.469 (2) Team Cooperation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Technical Academic Office Staff and Medan Aviation Safety amounting to (3) The results of multiple regression analysis indicate that the use of computer information technology by employees and teamwork simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Medan Academy of Engineering and Aviation Safety Employees with a calculated F value of 189,039 and a coefficient of determination equal to 81%. It was concluded that the use of computer information technology by employees and team collaboration had a positive and significant effect on the performance of Medan Academy of Engineering and Aviation Safety Employees.

Abstract

Terdapat banyak faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap ROA, yaitu: pengelolaan modal kerja, laba kotor, dan beban operasional yang terdapat pada perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perputaran modal kerja dan gross profit margin (GPM) terhadap return on assets (ROA) dengan rasio beban operasional dengan pendapatan operasional (BOPO) sebagai variabel intervening pada PT. Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) Cabang Medan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah laporan tahunan PT. Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) Cabang Medan dari mulai berdiri sampai tahun 2020. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang menjadi fokus adalah laporan tahunan PT. Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) Cabang Medan dari tahun 2017 – 2020 per kuartal. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji asumsi klasik, analisis jalur, uji t, uji F dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada struktur 1, PMK tidak berpengaruh terhadap terhadap BOPO, sedangkan GPM berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap BOPO. Semakin tinggi GPM maka rasio BOPO akan semakin rendah. Pada struktur 2, disiplin kerja, PMK berpengaruh secara langsung tetapi tidak berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap ROA. Sedangkan GPM tidak berpengaruh secara langsung tetapi berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap ROA melalui BOPO sebagai variabel intervening. Variabel GPM memberikan pengaruh tidak langsung yang signifikan terhadap ROA melalui variabel intervening BOPO, tetapi pengaruh tidak langsung PMK terhadap ROA tidak signifikan. Dengan adanya variabel intervening BOPO, maka pengaruh GPM terhadap ROA semakin kuat. Disarankan perusahaan perlu meningkatkan perputaran modal kerjanya akan pengaruhnya terhadap ROA semakin baik. Perusahaan perlu memperkecil rasio BOPO sehingga pengaruh GPM terhadap ROA semakin baik.

Abstract

Judul penelitian ini adalah Analisis Yuridis Penegakan Kode etik Polri di Kepolisian Daerah Sumatera Utara. Adapun yang menjadi tujuan penelitian yakni: pertama untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis upaya yuridis dan teknis yang dilakukan oleh Polri untuk meningkatkan penegakan hukum Kode Etik Profesi Polri, kedua untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis penegakan hukum Kode Etik Profesi Polri terhadap anggota Polri yang melakukan tindak pidana di Kepolisian Daerah Sumatera Utara.Hasil penelitian pertama Upaya yuridis dan teknis yang dilakukan oleh Polri untuk meningkatkan penegakan hukum Kode Etik Profesi Polri adalah pembaharuan Peraturan Kode Etik Profesi Polri, memantapkan kiprah Propam Polri sebagai garda terdepan penegakan hukum disiplin anggota Polri dan tranparansi serta melakukan penegakan supremasi hukum untuk mewujudkan program Kapolri menuju Polri yang Profesional, Modern dan terpercaya serta mewujudkan Good Governance; kedua Realitas penegakan hukum Kode Etik Profesi Polri terhadap anggota Polri yang melakukan tindak Pidana di Kepolisian Daerah Sumatera Utara, sudah terlaksana dengan baik, terbukti pada Keputusan Komisi Kode Etik Polri PUT KKEP/33/XI/2019/KKEP tanggal 14 November 2019, yang merekomendasikan AKP RADEN HERU SULISTIO NRP 65020301, diberhentikan tidak dengan hormat dari dinas Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is sending messages from one person to another person with a direct reciprocal nature. Likewise with Soewondo Air Force Base, the role of leadership is crucial as an engine of organization through understanding the problems that occur.This study aims at finding how the interpersonal communication role of the leadership of the Soewondo air Force base work unit towards its members, how the work motivation of members is and how the interpersonal communication role of the leadership influential in increasing the work motivation of members. The problem of several violations of the law was found so that it affects work motivation. Through the interpersonal communication approach, a leader can create an interest in himself of creating an atmosphere that can invite members to conduct interpersonal communication in the hope of providing solutions to the problems faced by their members so as to obtain maximum work result. In can be said that he role of interpersonal communication of leaders to members of the Suwondo Medan Lanud work unit in general is good, the motivation of Medan Suwondo Lanud members in general is good, interpersonal communication of leaders partially gives a significant influence on the work motivation of members of the Soewondo Lanud. From the observations in the preliminary part of this study it is also very suitable, namely the finding of several members who are experiencing legal problems that result in decreased work motivation and obstructed work done.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve the students’ learning outcomes on Budhist subject by applying the Cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS). The TPS is one of the learning model type that suppose to encourage the students’ interaction and communication in learning process. Thus, in the first cycle the teacher gives reading papers to be read and understood by students before the teacher explains the material. Then the teacher gives the students questions to answer in the answer sheet provided. Then the teacher instructed students to group and discuss, and continued with the presentation of each group in front of the class. In the second cycle there is a difference which gives the paper a teacher after reading, explaining the material by using power point accompanied by a video. In learning activities, the majority of students are more enthusiastic and ask questions to the teacher. Some of them even argued about students' understanding regarding the material. Furthermore, for each process the same as in cycle I. Based on the results of the implementation of the cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) can improve the learning outcomes of Buddhist studies in Middle Years Program students at Medan Independent School. The results in cycle I obtained an average value of 70.70. Classically students who reach the percentage of student learning outcomes are 37.50% which reaches a value of > 75 according to the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) and there are 62.50% of students assessed as not achieving the KKM. In cycle II, based on student learning test results in cycle II, it can be seen that student learning outcomes obtain a mean score of 93.55, where all students get a score > minimum completeness criteria, so 100% of students are declared complete in learning process. From these results, showed a significant increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. Thus it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) can improve student learning outcomes.
