Abstract

The unemployment rate among university graduates in Indonesia remains a serious issue that impacts economic and social stability. One of the main factors influencing this is the work readiness of graduates. This study aims to analyze the work readiness of awardees of Program X, a professional training program for second- and third-year university students in Indonesia. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with univariate analysis. Data were collected through a questionnaire based on a work readiness scale that includes four main aspects: personal characteristics, organizational acumen, work competence, and social intelligence. The findings indicate that most awardees have low work readiness, with significant differences between male and female participants, where males tend to be more prepared than females. These findings highlight the need for improvements in the training methods of Program X, particularly in terms of industry involvement and hands-on training. The implications of this study are expected to serve as a basis for the development of more effective education and job training policies and provide insights for further research on other factors affecting graduate work readiness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of sand play on the psychomotor development of 1-year-old children. Playing in the sand is believed to stimulate gross and fine motor skills through multisensory activities that involve object manipulation and body movements. With a qualitative approach, this study uses a direct observation method on 30 1-year-old children while playing in the sand. Activities such as digging and moving sand are evaluated for gross motor, while pinching and shaping sand is evaluated for fine motor. The results showed that sand play contributed significantly to children's motor coordination, concentration, and sensory exploration. These findings support the theory of child development which emphasizes the importance of multisensory stimulation in supporting motor growth. In addition to the physical benefits, the study also found that playing sand supports children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, such as interaction skills, logical thinking, and creativity. This study recommends parents and educators to utilize sand play as part of child development stimulation by paying attention to safety and hygiene aspects.

Abstract

Domestic violence (DV) against women is a form of abuse that has severe physical and psychological consequences for victims. This study aims to explore the experiences of DV victims in Binjai, North Sumatra, and the psychological and physical impacts they endure. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subject of this study is a female DV victim who shared her experiences of violence inflicted by her husband, resulting in physical, psychological, and social changes in her daily life. The findings indicate that the victim suffers from psychological trauma, including anxiety, fear, and sleep disturbances, as well as physical effects such as bruises and hair loss. The violence also leads to decreased social interaction, causing the victim to become isolated from her surroundings. This study highlights the importance of women's empowerment, social support, and medical assistance for DV victims, as well as the need for intervention from authorities and relevant institutions to protect women's rights. The study's implications emphasize the necessity of both preventive and curative measures against DV cases and greater attention to women's protection within households.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the impact of domestic violence on the psychological dynamics of girls who have experienced violence since childhood. Domestic violence often leaves deep emotional scars, especially for children who become hidden victims of family conflicts. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method to gain an in-depth understanding of the experiences of the subject, identified as K, an adult woman who endured physical, verbal, and economic violence, as well as sexual abuse by her stepfather. The findings indicate that such violence leads to anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulties in social relationships, and challenges in forming healthy relationships. The subject also exhibits ineffective coping mechanisms in dealing with trauma, such as crying and channeling emotions through online gaming. The lack of support and protection from her mother has resulted in attachment disturbances in the mother-child relationship. This study concludes that psychological interventions through forgiveness therapy and art therapy are necessary to help alleviate anxiety and trauma, while strong social support is crucial for improving the subjects self-esteem and social relationships. The implications of this research highlight the need for increased awareness and social support for domestic violence victims to prevent long-term adverse effects.
