Abstract

Flooding in front of the Sidoarjo Class 1A Religious Court Office road happens frequently during the rainy season. It disrupts traffic and damages the roads. Flooding is caused by the condition of the drainage channels, which are not performing efficiently due to sediment barriers such as garbage, and some channels appear to be damaged. The existing channels can no longer accommodate the water discharge caused by the rain, thus water overflows from the drainage channels, flooding the main road. These conditions show the importance of handling drainage problems. One of the ways that can be taken is to evaluate the capacity of existing drainage channels. In this study, the evaluation of drainage channel capacity was carried out using the Hydrological and Hydraulics Analysis method. The purpose of this study to assess the suitability of the magnitude of the 5-year return period flood discharge with the capacity of the existing drainage channel, and to find a solution if the drainage system can no longer accommodate the magnitude of the proposed flood discharge. The chosen alternative was alternative 2 drainage channel rehabilitation with increased channel dimensions. Based on the calculated results, a channel dimension plan with a width of 0.6 m and a height of 0.80 m was necessary. The cost required for drainage channel rehabilitation was 750,605,179.00 rupiahs.

Abstract

Transjatim Corridor I, which runs the Sidoarjo-Surabaya-Gresik route, serves as a crucial road-based mass transportation system in East Java Province, particularly within the Gerbangkertasusila Agglomeration Area. In 2023, the average load factor for Transjatim Corridor I was 120%, with an average of 5-6 thousand passengers per day. This high demand necessitated the addition of a fleet with luxury services. This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility of investing in Transjatim Luxury Corridor I buses. The investment feasibility is assessed by comparing income and expenditure variables. The analysis employs the NPV, Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), IRR, and Payback Period (PP) methods. The initial investment expenditure is Rp. 8,207,989,625. Assuming a load factor of 70%, the revenue for different fare alternatives is as follows: Alternative 1 (Rp. 17,500 fare) generates Rp. 5,723,200,000; Alternative 2 (Rp. 16,000 fare) generates Rp. 5,232,640,000; and Alternative 3 (Rp. 15,000 fare) generates Rp. 4,905,600,000. Based on a 6% discount rate, the NPV for all alternatives is greater than 0: Alternative 1 yields Rp. 5,204,972,631; Alternative 2 yields Rp. 2,466,479,592; and Alternative 3 yields Rp. 640,817,566. The IRR values exceed the discount rate, with Alternative 1 at 19.42%, Alternative 2 at 12.54%, and Alternative 3 at 7.74%. The BCR values are all greater than 1: Alternative 1 is 1.30, Alternative 2 is 1.19, and Alternative 3 is 1.11. The PP values are 4 years for Alternative 1, 5 years for Alternative 2, and 6 years for Alternative 3. Thus, all three alternatives are deemed financially feasible.

Abstract

During peak hour conditions, the traffic orderly area (KTL) in the existing Pahlawan Road area has not provided maximum results regarding performance and traffic order. The solution to the transportation problems that occur is to assess the performance of related sections and intersections and analyze the selection of traffic handling schemes to produce the most effective and efficient handling output. The purpose of this study is to determine the most optimal traffic engineering management recommendations for Pahlawan Road, Sidoarjo Regency. In data processing, researchers analyzed survey data, including the analysis of the traffic trip destination-origin matrix, vehicle free speed, vehicle behavior, and intersection control. The authors calibrated and validated the simulation model using the Vissim application, which represents the real situation in the field. Analysis of the traffic performance of the existing condition of the Pahlawan Road area road network revealed an average delay of 96.5 seconds, an average vehicle speed of 23.7 km/h, a total vehicle travel time of 1,691.6 hours, and a total vehicle delay of 725.2 hours, indicating poor road network performance. To improve the performance of the road network on the Pahlawan road section, the authors developed six road network simulation scenarios to derive the most optimal traffic engineering management recommendations for Pahlawan Road, Sidoarjo Regency.

Abstract

With the dominance of top-down development, the aspirations of the community's ideas in every stage of construction development are not perfectly absorbed, resulting in community antipathy towards every government policy. Therefore, to recreate public sympathy, the government released a program to strengthen village governance and development (P3PD) or better known as the village fund program. The AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method is used to analyze the results of the questionnaire so that the weight value of the criteria and sub criteria can be known as the basis for selecting the implementation of construction activities. Based on the results of the analysis, the weight value of the criteria can be found as follows: quality criteria are the main criteria in the selection of construction projects with a weight of 0.235, cost with a weight of 0.203, time with a weight of 0.192, community participation with a weight of 0.144, labor with a weight of 0.117 and administration with a weight of 0.110.
