Journal of Educational Analytics (JEDA) is a peer review and open-access journal that provides an international platform for disseminating research results and review articles in the field of education. This Journal is published four time per year at February, May, August and November by Formosa Publisher. It is aimed to publish original and contemprorary articles on the latest issues and trends occurring in education curriculum, instruction, learning, policy, and preparation of teachers with the aim to advance our knowledge of education theory and practice. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and are then evaluated by a minimum of two reviewers through the blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal.

Abstract

This study aims to see the Atakkae traditional house from the perspectives of tourism, economy, education, and government policies in its development. The method used is a type of library research through text and discourse analysis by moving the field setting into the library space. The results of this study indicate that, from an educational perspective, the existence of the Atakkae traditional house is often used as a venue for holding various educationally nuanced events, such as exhibitions, cultural performances, and folk arts. Through this event, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) can sell their products. Including the development of the Atakkae traditional house tourism will have an impact on the development of other economic sectors. As a closing note, even though the Atakkae traditional house area is one of the favorite tourist attractions in Wajo Regency, the current conditions require attention from the government in caring for and maintaining these cultural and tourism assets.

Abstract

This study aims to look at and analyze the strategies used in determining and selecting essential competencies in an effort to fulfill basic competencies and learning outcomes at Abepura 3 Public Elementary School, Jayapura City. This research was conducted using a descriptive-qualitative method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation of the elementary school situation, and literature studies relevant to the research topic. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative, descriptive manner with three stages: presentation of data, analysis of data, and drawing conclusions. Research results how that learning 67% of teachers do assessment diagnostics, consisting of 50% conducting cognitive diagnostic assessments, 33% conducting non-cognitive diagnostic assessments, 17% conducting both assessments, and 33% not conducting assessment cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostics.

Abstract

This article uses a literature study approach and is included in qualitative research. Several stages of data presentation are applied in this paper, namely data restatement, description to map data patterns, and interpretation to highlight the exact meaning of the role of education and its influence on socio-cultural change. Every human being during life can be sure to experience a lot of changes. Change can be both good and bad, and one of the factors is education. In a social and cultural perspective, education has a prominent role so that it is able to develop individual capacities to become good citizens and, in building society, carry out cultural and social transformation, including norms, habits, and attitudes.

Abstract

This article uses the library research approach and is included in qualitative research. Several stages of data presentation are applied in this paper, namely data restatement, description to map data patterns, and interpretation to highlight definite meanings regarding innovation and change in educational institutions. The results of the discussion in this study indicate an action that must be carried out related to innovation. Meanwhile, the causal factors that we ourselves understand are very complex, from innovations to policy changes, developments in science and technology, and the conditions of society.

Abstract

The number of international students is an indicator of tertiary performance assessment, so each tertiary institution tries to attract prospective students from abroad with various program offers and services provided. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interviews with international student services staff with the aim of knowing and analyzing their communication strategies as well as the intercultural communication competencies that international student services staff need to possess. The study results were analyzed referring to the Theory of Communication Accommodation and Theory of Intercultural Communication, which then mapped out the findings based on Byram's Intercultural Communication Competence model (attitudes, knowledge, connecting skills, discovery and interaction skills, and critical cultural awareness). Knowing the intercultural communication strategies needed to serve international students is expected to improve the quality of services provided.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in activity and learning achievement of students in learning Islamic Religious Education and Moral Character, the subject matter of Procedures for Carrying Out Bodies, by applying the gallery walk and simulation methods. This research uses action studies (action research). This research was carried out in three stages: the pre-cycle stage, cycle 1, and cycle 2. In the pre-cycle learning activity stage, students had a percentage of 61.43% and an average final score of 63.90. In cycle 1, after the act of active learning, students increased to 68.58%, and the average final test was 68.90. Whereas in cycle 2, after the evaluation of the implementation of the action in cycle 2, the learning activity experienced an increase, namely the activeness of students increased by 78.58%, and the average student final test was 74.76. From these three stages, it is clear that there has been an increase after the gallery walk and simulation methods were applied compared to before.

Abstract

The Merdeka Student Exchange Program is a one-semester student mobility program to gain learning experience at public and private universities in Indonesia while at the same time strengthening unity in diversity. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach which aims to (1) Create a general understanding of diversity tolerance, diversity, inspiration, and social contributions designed through the archipelago module activities. (2) understand students' perspectives on phenomena by gathering information and documenting the Nusantara module activities completed by students. The subjects of this study were students who were placed at the Siliwangi Teaching and Education Institute (IKIP Siliwangi) in the Independent Student Exchange program. The results of the study show the tolerance attitude of students towards ethnicity, religion, culture and customs through an attitude of respect and respect for ethnicity, religion, culture and customs.

Abstract

This research is expected to provide information and describe how the relevance of the application of edutainment principles in early childhood education. This research is qualitative research, using an analytical descriptive approach. The results of the study show; (1) the relevance of the edutainment principle actualized in the daily activity plan, including; initial activities (special institutional activities and Islamic religious education, core activities, rest and eating and closing activities; (2) the creation of positive and fun learning between teachers and students in interacting; (3) the existence of motivation and ways of learning that appreciate the learning style and modalities of students so that good learning outcomes are achieved; (4) classical activities emphasize habituation and training to increase self-reliance, courage, discipline and responsibility for him; (5) core activities are carried out through a process of exploration, experimentation, elaboration, and confirmation aimed at activating the child's attention, abilities and emotional social; and (6) the final activity is calming the child and is classically given.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' concern for protecting the school environment at SD Negeri 101768 Tembung. Then, describe the formation of environmental care behavior and the obstacles experienced by schools and how to overcome them. This research is a classroom action research (CAR), namely planning, action, observation, reflection. The approach used is qualitative with descriptive method. The obstacles faced by the school in shaping students' environmental care behavior are student turnover every new school year, socio-economic conditions, educator concern. Solutions that can be done are, for example, socializing new programs to participants and students, monitoring and always reminding student behavior, involving teachers in workshops or seminars on environmental themes.
