Abstract

Baby incubator is a tool that has a function as a treatment and temperature adjustment (heater) for premature babies who really need a temperature that is in accordance with the temperature in the mother's womb. The Baby Incubator uses a heating element that is controlled by a temperature control circuit so that the temperature remains stable. the heater will work when the temperature is less than the predetermined temperature, on the contrary if the temperature sensor is greater than the temperature setting it will automatically turn off. Medical equipment, of course, cannot be separated from damage, both light and heavy, because damage can be caused by improper use of standard operating procedures (SOP), lack of maintenance/maintenance, and incidents/accidents caused by human error. Based on the observations that have been made by the author, it is known that medical equipment requires periodic maintenance to ensure the quality of health services. Preventive maintenance of the baby incubator. Preventive maintenance is maintenance and care activities carried out to prevent damage. Preventive maintenance can be carried out daily or monthly.

Abstract

Electrocardiograph is a tool that can display a graph of the electrical signal of the human heart that shows the process of the occurrence of a heartbeat. Through this tool it can be known whether a person's heart rate is normal or not. The method used in this study is qualitative and descriptive. preventive maintenance both from outside and inside the tool and aims to find out the maintenance of the el ectrocardiograph tool this maintenance function is running well, then the quality of the medical equipment used will be good too. From the results of the maintenance and testing of the electrocardiograph that was carried out at the Teaching Hospital of the University of North Sumatra, Medan. The maintenance of the electrocardiograph was carried out by internal calibration with measurements of 30,60,120,240.and by looking at the value of the graph whether it was still curly or not.The results of this study indicate that in practice, the system of maintenance cannot run as it should, due to the limited number of technicians, lack of training, costs, and maintenance procedures that are not in accordance with the planning, operation, and supervision procedures that are not carried out properly.

Abstract

Patient Monitor is a device that monitors physiological conditions in the form of NIBP (Non-Ivasive Blood Pressure) blood pressure, temperature, respiration, SPO2 and the shape of the heart pulse continuously. The purpose of this study was to find out how the system works and the use of Non Iinvasive Blood Pressure is good in order to get maximum results. This research is a descriptive and qualitative method, namely by analyzing the Work System and the Effect of Noun Invasive Blood Pressure measurement on the Patient Monitor. The results obtained are the NIBP working system on the patient monitor device consisting of power supply, motor, air valve, microprocessor, display. The blood pressure measurement system uses a cuff with air pressure generated by a motor. The conclusion of this study is that the NIBP works using a pneumatic system, namely using air pressure, where the cuff is inflated until the pressure reaches a maximum above systolic pressure, where the arteries are effectively blocked. Then the cuff pressure is reduced to a constant level, the pressure traducer provides an analog signal to the digital hardware during the process of obtaining the systolic, diastolic and mean pressures.

Abstract

Centrifuge is a tool used to separate the liquid according to specific gravity, this tool is used in the laboratory to separate samples such as blood, urine, and others. The main component of Centrifuge is an DC motor that serves to rotate the sample with centrifugal force with the density and time specified. Centrifuge that the author made using microcontroller At Mega 328p and consists of DC motor components, motor drivers, 20x4 lcd, speed sensor, buzzer and keypad. Sensors used are optocoupler sensors that function to determine the speed of the motor, motor drivers are used to adjust the speed of the motor according to the wishes of the user, LCD function to display the speed of the motor and timer, buzzer will sound when the process of separation of the sample has been completed, keypad as input speed and timer. On the motor there are sensors used to determine the speed of the motor. When the speed has been reached, the motor driver will work to control the motor to stay in accordance with the desired speed.

Abstract

The Arduino Uno Based Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer Rotational Speed ​​Design has been successfully carried out. The function is to stir and heat one solution with another solution which aims to make a homogeneous solution with the help of a Magnetic stir bar (Stir Bar). The purpose of this design is to know the design of the HotPlate Magnetic Stirrer with 400 Rpm Rotation Speed ​​Settings and to determine the accuracy of the Hotplate Magnetic Stirr rotation speed. The method used is the experimental method. The components in this design are Arduino uno and consist of DC Stepper motor components, motor drivers, 20x4 lcd. The working principle of the design of the hotplate magnetic stirrer based on Arduino Uno. The PLN AC 220V current enters the power supply which converts to a DC voltage of 12V 10A, then Arduino Uno receives a DC voltage of 12V to turn on circuits such as motor drivers that require 12V voltage directly from the power supply, 9V stepper motors, 5V buzzers. Furthermore, the stepper motor will run according to the command set on keyped. To compare the rotational speed settings, use the tachometer calibration tool. The test results show the Rotational Speed ​​of the Arduino Uno-Based Hotpate Magnetic Stirrer, the rpm rotation speed is in accordance with the settings and the results obtained are 10% tolerance. Abstract

Research on patient monitor tools has been carried out. The purpose of this study was to determine the problem of repairing the patient monitor tool. Corrective maintenance is maintenance action taken to overcome damage or congestion that occurs repeatedly, then take corrective action on the tool. Patient monitor is a tool that is used to monitor the patient's physiological condition. The purpose of this study is Troubleshooting (damage) patient monitor tools. Improvements to the patient monitor tool with the results of the study found that troubleshooting was seen through the results of less accurate blood pressure calculations so that it affected the diagnosis process in NIBP (Non Invasive Blood Pressure), Spo2 (Oxygen Pressure Saturation) patients. Incorrect reading of SpO2 results can be affected by sensor damage which when diagnosing patients, Ecg (Electrocardiograph) affects the results of diagnostics made by the instrument on patients, Misdiagnosis can occur due to incorrect placement of electrodes/tappers, damaged electrodes, Temperature (temperature) on the temperature sensor, namely damage to the temperature connector cable and the occurrence of undetected temperature results on the patient monitor tool. The research is that the patient monitor has been functioning properly after checking and repairing. Maintenance of the patient monitor must be routine and scheduled to prevent damage so that the age of use of tools and accessories is longer. Testing and calibration of patient monitor tools, especially on patient monitor parameters, must carry out routine checks on patient monitors, especially patient monitor accessories.

Abstract

The electrical activity of the heart is the basis elektrokardiograph (ECG) in observing the condition of the heart , a series of ECG consists of amplifier biopotensial of an instrument ECG became the main component in this study , records heart activity is still a burden to the medical world in the use and the results of the expected output .In this study biolistrik signal received from the ECG to be controlled via arduino , and data received through arduino will be sent via Bluetooth and android will be shown on the display , Bluetooth serves as the sender and the data receiver ( RX,TX). Results released by android is a graphic display that can be stored in the form of images in JPEG format on a regular basis or in real time so as to facilitate and reduce the use of paper in printing graphics imaginable on ECG in general that still use paper as the output.

Abstract

Research has been done on the infusion pump. As for the purpose of this study is to determine the problem of repairing the infusion pump. Corrective maintenance is maintenance action taken to overcome damage or congestion that occurs repeatedl, then take corrective action on teh tool. An infusion pump is a medical device that is used to provide additional electrolytes in the form of a liquid that is injected into the patient’s body in a certain amount through a vein. The display of the infusion pump device does not turn on due ti the disconnection of the flexible cable connector between the LCD and the device’s mother board. During operation a red high sound alarm appears for 10 seconds. When checking the infus pump., it was found that the infusion hose was loose for the patient user, in other checks, the infusion pump clamp was found to be broken. The research is that the infusion pump has been functioning properly after checking and repairing. Maintenance of the infusion pump must be routine and scheduled to prevent damage so that the life of the tool is long. Testing and calibration of the infusion pump, especially on the parameters of the infusion pump, it is mandatory to carry out routine checks on the infusion pump.

Abstract

In healthy care , the comfortable of patient is primary. Therefore, the healthy world trying to improve the quality of health services with emphasis on comfort and safety for patients as the primary starting point. To improve the quality of service , started from simple things like calling anurse to replace the infusion to be exhausted. Patients not realize that the infusion has finis hedeither while awake or not awake oftenly. Causing the blood up into the hose, and the hose will clogged because ofthe clots of blood sleft in the hose. Making Detector Fluid of Infusion Based Microcontroller ATMEGA 8535 can solve simple issues that will detect the presence or absence ofintravenous fluids by sending signals using the wireless system to call a nurse instead of the callbutton nurses and to prevent the above problems happened with the method senders of modulation signal ASK (Amplitude Shift keying). The author analyzes the photodiode sensor as a detectorthat detects intravenous fluids , and connect it to the microcontroller as the CPU (Central Processing Units) to processing data which sent by sensor. This prototype has advantages and dis advantages . As a prototype , this tool is appropriate to be applied directly in the health service. And for better results, the use ofthis prototypeis placed in a room with the low intensity of light to support the performance of the sensor which very sensitive to light.
