Abstract

Cahya setya trophy is a small manufacturing industry that produces trophies, vandels, acrylics, etc. In this small industry in the warehouse, there is still a lack of awareness to use personal protective equipment and a work method that can cause Musculosketal disorders. This study aims to analyze K3 from the Cahya setya trophy warehouse using observation methods, Nordic Body Map, RULA and REBA. The observation method was used for the initial step of the study and the Nordic Body Map was used to find a sample as a research from the RULA, REBA method. The results of work safety observations found that the dangerous action if not wearing shoes was the worst possibility that it could cause the employee's feet to bruise, and not using gloves was the worst possibility that the hands could be scratched. The results of the occupational health analysis using the REBA method, the bent position got a final score of 8, the duct tape process squat position got 9 scores, both positions had an action level of 3, and the packaging squat position got a score of 12 with an action level of 4, which means there is a very high risk and this position is very dangerous, then change action is needed, The results of the RULA method in the packaging squat position, the duct tape squat got a score of 6 which had an action level of 3 and the bent position got a score of 7 which had an action level of 4. From the results of these calculations, all work methods require action to change work methods, if changes in work methods are not immediately carried out, it can trigger Musculosketal disorders and lack of comforted at work.

Abstract

Maintaining high quality is crucial for any company that produces goods. PT. Dharma Anugerah Indah specializes in printing and packaging, but customers have been complaining about the quality of their products in 2022. Specifically, there were many defects in the packaging, particularly problems with the color. These defects have caused a decrease in customer trust and could harm the company's reputation. This study aims to identify the problems causing the defects that are triggering customer complaints. To analyze the defects, we used the Six Sigma method with the DMAIC cycle and the FMEA method. In the define phase, we found that the most significant problems were related to color, bad printing, and bad glueing. These issues were mainly caused by operator negligence, frequent machine trouble, poor materials, and inadequate environmental conditions. However, our Six Sigma calculations show that the Sigma levels were good, ranging from 4.2 to 4.24. We also used the FMEA method to prioritize the failure modes and determine proposed improvements. Based on the proposed improvements, we recommend scheduling work training, monitoring employee performance, maintaining production machines, and increasing awareness of the work environment to improve production quality.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction became one major priority for business agent to attract customer buying interest. Customer satisfaction is the feeling of happiness or sadness which appear after buying and comparing the product with other brands. The process of getting good Multiple Linear Regression analysis result in this research, then it has to be examined in these following steps: (1) Testing the validity and reliability of questionnaire measuring instruments. (2) Describing variables of the research. (3) Testing the classical assumptions such as heterokedasticity, multicollinearity, collinearity and normality test. (4) Analyzing Multiple Linear Regression, which includes the F_test (joint test), t_test (partial test), and the coefiicient of detemination (R-squared) test. Identification values of the factors that affect customer satisfaction towards KPUB Sapi Jaya pure milk products obtained from the result of the linear regression equation, where the value of the influence constituent is 2,117 units, the value of the influence of X1. of 0.367 units, the value of influence X3. Product features of 0.671 units, the value of influence X4. The product beauty is 0.259, the value of influence X5. The perceived quality is 0.814 units and the value of influence X6. Service is 0.211 units. Furthermore, the results of the significance test, which significantly affects customer satisfaction of KPUB Sapi Jaya pure milk products, it is concluded that there are 2 factors, the first is product durability factor (X1) and the second is perceived quality factor (X5). Meanwhile 4 other factors are not significant, such as product suitability factor (X2); product features (X3); beauty products (X4) and services (X6).

Abstract

UD Berkah Jaya Offset is one of the manufacturing companies operating in the field of cardboard box production. The company offers a variety of cardboard box products in various sizes, including sizes D1, D2, D3, trepes, and roll. In the production of cardboard boxes, particularly size D1, issues such as overstock and even stock shortages have been frequently encountered during the period from January 2022 to December 2023. This is due to the ineffective demand forecasting to anticipate these possibilities. This study aims to forecast the demand for size D1 cardboard boxes for the upcoming months using the best forecasting method. The methods employed are decomposition method, Winter's exponential smoothing, and Holt's exponential smoothing. This research compares the three methods based on the smallest Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value. The results of the study reveal that the decomposition method is the most effective, with a MAPE value of 19, MAD value of 28000, and MSD value of 1247419480, indicating a low level of forecasting error compared to the others.

Abstract

The quality development is the most important thing that every company must do to minimize the defective products. One of the methods that can be used to analyze the defective products is Six Sigma which means as a method that can achieve, maintain, and maximize the success of business in a comprehensive and flexible way. The steps to be formulated by implementing the Six Sigma management cycle are DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control). PT. XYZ which is engaged in manufacturing cement bags with one of its products is pasted kraft bags. The purpose of this study was to calculate the sigma score of the current conditions in the company, to analyze the causes of defective product that exceed the company's tolerance standards. The results showed three defective products. Those are printing defects, wrinkled bags and cutting defects. The average sigma score in the production process of Pasted kraft bags was 4.03 sigma, which means that out of 1 million products, there were around 5,858 defective products. The analysis of the core causes of product defects are the poor control of machine component conditions, the less attention of operators to standardize the machine settings, and the worn machine components during the production process. The repair step which is based on the 5W + 1H method are the recommendations for making a form to control the condition of engine components and good SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure), the procurement of field supervisors and regular training to operators.

Abstract

In this modern era of the technology, the rapid development of the business world and the demand of product that required by consumer is very high also. Therefore, the company must be able to make an optimal planning, there is in the planning of production or planning of demand to make the company can achieve the objectives targeted. To achieve it, the company have to forecast the amount of selling or consumer’s demand about product or services produced. The CV. Tabassam Az-Zufar Jombang is a company that engaged in the partnership of boiler chicken farms. One of analysis that can be used to forecast is the moving average and the exponential smoothing method. The aims of this research are the first is to know the chicken sales forecasting in the periods of June 2018 until July 2018 and the second is to know the accuratest of the sales forecasting method. The method that will be used to this research is the moving average and exponential smoothing method. The result of the research showed that the smallest error value of method is SES method with α = 0,7 where is the value of MAD is 23.384, MSE = 1.096.023.269, and MAPE = 16 %. As for result of the chicken sales forecasting using the single exponential smoothing method with α = 0,7 in June 2018 is 207.758 tails and July is 207.758 tails.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country where 40% of the population's livelihood is farming. Agrarian potential in Indonesia is very high because of the fertile soil. The fertile agricultural land in Indonesia is due to the country's location in an area with a tropical climate and Indonesia has many mountains. Most farmers in Indonesia still carry out the harvesting process manually, especially when threshing rice seeds from the stalks. The rice harvesting process that still uses manual methods can cause problems for farmers and also result in relatively low productivity. The process of harvesting rice using a sickle is still widely carried out because rice harvesting machines have not yet been created suitable for existing agricultural land in Indonesia, where agricultural land in Indonesia is generally narrow with undulating topographic conditions. This research aims to compare methods for developing rice harvesting machines. The method used in this research is to compare the Kansei Engineering, Quality Function Deployment, and Value Engineering methods. The results of this research indicate that the Kansei Engineering method is a suitable method for developing rice harvesting machines because the Kansei engineering method uses emotional feelings in the product development process. The Kansei engineering method can increase the level of satisfaction and interest of consumers because products are designed using the Kansei engineering method.

Abstract

Tofu Experimental Design Using the TAGUCHI Method Approach at the JB Tofu FactoryAbstractHome industry Tahu JB is a small and medium enterprise (UKM) which operates in the food production sector. An emphasis on quality, efficiency, and technology is critical to maintaining a competitive advantage. The JB Tofu Factory in Jombang is facing production challenges which result in imperfect tofu, which poses a risk to the sustainability of its business. This research aims to optimize the tofu production process in Tahu JB Jombang using the Taguchi approach. The main problem addressed is the occurrence of defective products that threaten business continuity. Taguchi's method, which uses tools such as SNR, Orthogonal Arrays (especially L8( 23 )), ANOVA, and F tests, has proven effective inidentifying key factors such as soybean soaking time, soybean grinding,and starch deposition time. know that it affects product quality. With 3 factors 2 levels, the research results show that soybean milling makes a significant contribution to tofu texture, with a contribution of 37.13% to SNR and 51.61% to average product quality. The results of this research are the soaking time for soybeans level 2 (4 hours), grinding level 1 (1x), sedimentation of tofu essence level 1 (20 minutes) and it is hoped that this can improve the quality of tofu products and operational efficiency at the JB Tofu factory as a whole.

Abstract

Gema Frozen is a company that sells and distributes frozen food products such as sausages, nuggets, corned beef and many other products. Every month, sales of Gema Frozen frozen food products continue to experience a significant increase in the market. This phenomenon causes the company to face demand overload caused by the increase in sales, to anticipate the occurrence of overload, forecasting is needed. By using Lee's fuzzy time series method, the purpose of this study is to analyze product sales forecasting and sales forecasting accuracy. This method is derived from time series analysis that utilizes fuzzy logic and uses fuzzy sets as the basis for its calculations. The results of forecasting analysis using this method resulted in an average difference between sales data and forecasting data of 3.65. This method's forecasting accuracy level is calculated, and the result is an MAE of 55.856. The MSE is 6029.641. -9.97% MPE and 33.78% MAPE values. The Lee approach performs well in predicting, according to the computation of forecasting accuracy.

Abstract

PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia (Jombang Factory) is a company operating in the animal feed industry. Improper production planning causes problems in managing raw materials, and often the stock of raw materials for production is overstocked, resulting in warehouse rental costs. In the period January 2024 to April 2024, 30,545 tons of raw materials were recorded in the rental warehouse, and storage rental costs amounted to 675 million. The purpose of this research is to determine the production volume of XYZ Broiler products based on past sales estimates. And to plan raw material supplies for the production of XYZ Broiler products using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) technique. Based on sales data, the Decomposition method is the best forecasting method because it has the lowest MAPE, MAD and MSD values. Therefore, we can conclude that sales for the last 4 months, namely January to April 2024, were 4,498, 4,303, 5,582 and 3,884 tons. The final process for obtaining data on raw material requirements is creating an MRP report using the EOQ technique. With this MRP method, the company can provide raw materials according to sales demand so that it does not need to rent an external warehouse to store excess raw materials and can save 675 million from the cost of renting an external warehouse for 4 months and Rp. 381,812,500,000 from the cost of purchasing Soya Bean M eal (SBM) materials. overstock.
