SYAMIL: JURNAL PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM (JOURNAL OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION) PASCASARJANA UINSI SAMARINDA (p-ISSN: 2339-1332, e-ISSN: 2477-0027) It is an International Education Journal published by Post Graduate of UINSI Samarinda, Indonesia. The journal is pursues the academic exploration on Islamic education discourses in Southeast Asian schools, colleges, universities, and other Islamic educational institutions such as pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools). The journal promotes empirical research and theory relevant to Islamic affiliated educational institutions. The topics of the journal cover the micro, meso, and macro levels of Islamic education such as the philosophy of Islamic education, Islamic school leadership, and the politics of Islamic education. The journal is published twice a year in June and December. It was firstly published in 2014 (printed edition). Since Vol. 3, Issue 2 (December 2015), it has migrated gradually to an electronic journal system (Open Access). It is now a fully online journal, and since Vol. 8, No. 2 (December 2019) it only accepts manuscript submissions written in English or Arabic. SYAMIL Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam (Journal of Islamic Education) has been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Indonesia since 11 October 2019 based on the Decree Number 28/E/KPT/2019 (valid for five years).

Abstract

Quran is life guidance and there is no doubt about it, it is also as a guidance of all human life problems in this world, including problems of multicultural conflicts which occur in the society. Quran which consists of 30 juz 114 surah has explored humanistic principles and values  in the interaction to other humans both of in group and inter group interaction need to be studied in order to solve all problems occurs in the society. Problems of this research are: (1) How are main themes of multicultural education values in tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka? (2) How is the perspective of Buya Hamka towards multicultural education values in tafsir Al-Azhar. This is a library research. Data collection technique is by using documents, the researcher collected and reviewed books, kitab, journals, and other writing materials which are connected to multicultural education and came up with the description. Data of this research was analyzed by using linguistics, sociological, and theological approach. Buya Hamka in interpreting verses about multicultural emphasizes on the concept of unity and similarity. According to Hamka, diversity is a starting points of the conflicts in the life of society. Unity and similarity concept by Buya Hamka can be viewed from two points. They are: (1) Unity and similarity of human origins from the same father and mother. (2) Unity and similarity of aqidah to make human becomes brothers and sisters.

Abstract

This research based on the phenomena on the field which are the correlation between the competence of teacher's personality and interests of student in learning activities on islamic education learning at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in Samarinda. The aim of the research is to descript the competence of the teacher’s personality, interest of student in learning activities. Therefore, to identify how much the correlation between the competence of the teacher's personality and interests of student in learning activities partially is and to identify how much the correlation between the competence of the teacher's personality and interests of student in learning activities on Islamic education learning at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in Samarinda. The result showed that sBoth competence of teacher’s personality and students learning activity had a very strong correlation about r=0.989 which mean the competence of teacher’s personality, student’s interest and learning activity had an average correlation about 97.8% and the rest of 2.2% was defined in other variables. The hypothesis showed that there was a significance correlation between competence of teacher’s personality and the learning activity were accepted as true by value (Fcount = 4246.876 ; sig. = 0,000).

Abstract

Background of this research was condition of adolescents who experience behavioral disorder, repetitive and sedentary behavioral patterns, which it violated social norms and rules of their age or deviated from the truth. This behavioral disorder was backgrounded by factors which supported each other. The primary factors were internalization process of religion and culture, and fulfillment of developmental tasks. The other factors were systems of value, attitude, and belief, that guided behavior and represented social persfektive or moral conviction which was used as a last rational basis of action. Objective of this research were to explain the concept of value had by the adolescents who experience social behavioral irregularities and to show clearly the developmental tasks had by them, with Developmental Psychology expert theory. Qualitative research used was interdisciplinary approach. They were phenomenology, psychology, and sociology. Data collection techniques were interview and observation. Data analyzing were inductive and sustainable, that accorded to data collection framework, data reducting, data presenting, and conclusions (verification). The Validity of data used credibility testing which were extension of observation, enhancement of endurance, and triangulation. Then, the research used confirmability testing.  The research were pointed out two (2) findings. One was the concept of value had, believed, and followed by the adolescents who experince social behavioral irregularities, was guided by some primary values -responsibility, aid, honesty, ambition, and rigth perception- and by some primary last ideals -having happiness, family safety, comfortable life, and value of true friendship- for having a life full of passion. Another was behavioral disorder that happened because of two (2) detentions. Detention in having the developmental tasks –unmature relation of friends around, failed reaching of masculinity and femininity socially, detenty accepting of body physically, and detenty reaching of emmotional independence of parents in some teenagers while some ones had not right independence–  hence, inflicting less harmonious relation of adolescents among their parents and socials around. Detention in self preparing the family life –carrer of economic, set of value and ethic system in behaviorally way– hence, detenty reaching and hoping of responsible bahavioral socially.

Abstract

Speech disorder is one of the factors that causes learning difficulties of students because this disturbance will impede the communication and familiarization process in their learning community. Speech disorder not only causes disharmony in themselves but also brings negative influence in their learning activities, which in the long run will cause certain difficulties in achieving satisfactory academic performance. Speech disorder in commonly marked by some subtitution symtoms, distortion, omission, clonic spasm dan tonic spasm, which are caused by heredity or inappropriate treatment by people living surrounding the students. Currative effort can be done integratively both psychis therapy and physical medication in order to improve students harmonization as a prerequisite for learning activities.

Abstract

Said Nursi said that in moral education is based on his understanding of the Qur'an and the inspiration of Allah SWT. The main task of moral education is to strengthen the principles possessed by humans to achieve human levels such as harmonious and balanced prophet in a positive way that gave birth to a noble attitude with morality karimah. There are 9 principles relating to morals contained from some books by Said Nursi, namely strengthening the faith, clinging to the Qur'an, the importance of understanding the essence of human creation, the importance of understanding the universe, the importance of understanding the 'al-Husna asthma, the importance of knowing Signs of doomsday, the importance of believing the end of the world, imitating the prophet Muhammad, and inculcating sincere, piety and alms. And from some of the principles / morals above, the most fundamental thing in strengthening his understanding is his interpretation of God, man, and the universe. First morality to God is related to the principle of strengthening the faith. Said Nursi believes that the ultimate faith in living a life. The faith in question is faith that is sufficient in the faith. Second is morality to man, is a manifestation of understanding the real creation of man. Humans have a tendency to goodness and always to the right path. And thirdly, the morals to the universe, Said Nursi says that the universe with all its elements, from the largest to the smallest, from inanimate to living things, are all created with a dose corresponding to their respective portions. Perspective Said Nursi about moral education, of course, very relevant to the context of character education as proclaimed by the government at this time. Theoretically Said Nursi's thought is based on al-Qur'an as-Sunnah and in practice can provide spiritual values through reason and morals so it is expected to change society to be morally in everyday life, both at school and at home.

Abstract

This research is from the concept of strategies discovery learning and ekspository learning to student learning outcomes. Discovery learning is learning-centered to student where the subject matter of Islamic education has been engineered by the teacher. And ekspository learning is learning that focused on the teachers that are the subject matter of Islamic education is taught by the teacher's knowledge. While the learning outcome is the result of student learning as evidenced by the form of report cards. This research is quantitative with associative approach. Informant entire fifth grade elementary school students in the city of Samarinda. The data collected with using questionnaires, observation and documentation. While the analysis used phases check, the process of identification, classification process, mean test, correlation and t-test. The results of this research is there was a significant effect of discovery learning and ekspository learning together on learning outcomes of students in the subjects of Islamic education in public elementary school Samarinda.

Abstract

The results of research on the implementation of discovery learning model on the subjects of Islamic Education and Character in SMAN 1 Bulukumba, is a model of discovery learning has been applied by Islamic Education Teachers and Character in SMAN 1 Bulukumba in terms of input, process and output components. In the learning needs to be evaluated, especially on aspects of process components and output components on aspects of student skills. Educators are required to maximize in applying the learning model in order to obtain a quality learning situation, active and develop the attitude and knowledge of students. The application of the discovery learning model is not an easy task, by which the teacher takes a lot of time and not all students are able to make the discovery, this model does not apply to all topics. Related to the time and strategy of discovery learning requires a longer duration, due to the rational thinking ability of students is still limited and cultural factors or habits that still use the old learning patterns. The implication of this research, it is expected that the teacher of Islamic Education and Character can implement the scientific approach of discovery learning model in the learning process in class well, evaluate, repair and development both in terms of planning, implementation and assessment in using discovery learning model to run effective and systematic. And the creation of student-centered learning oriented development of attitudes, knowledge and skills of students.

Abstract

In an effort to produce a quality lesson that is run by teachers, the steps taken in the education system is an intense and continuous coaching in the form of academic supervision given to teachers to improve their ability to run a quality learning process. Guidance to the teacher's essence is an act of giving assistance to improve his ability in running the learning process. The reason for coaching is given to the teacher is that the ability of the teacher must always be improved especially in the techniques related to the learning process that must be executed. The failure of teachers in the learning process is more due to the ability of teachers who are still low in the science of teaching. It may be that the teacher has had enough qualifications or even master's degrees, but is still weak in his teaching. So the ability of teachers in running a quality learning process is still low. Suharsimi Arikunto asserted that the main activity of supervision is to provide guidance to the school/madrasah in general and especially to the teachers for better learning quality, which in turn improves students' learning achievement. in the Government Regulation Number 19 Year 2005 on Education Standards specially contained in Chapter IV Article 19 paragraph (3) states that every year education performs planning of learning process, implementation of learning process, assessment of learning activity, and supervision of learning process for the implementation of effective learning process and efficient.

Abstract

The background of this research is because of the curiosity about the moral value of amtsal verse that sometimes Allah gives a parable to the certain class, and with that parable it can attract the reader attention, and it even can arouse the heart of the reader to make them to think back. And make an equalof their self and the class that Allah parable in that verse. Moreover about the researcher’s conviction about the act of Qur’an in education, start from lesson of the education values that really noble and exalted, until the very latest technology invention of scientists from medieval until modern. That’s all not in spite of the muslim’s holy book contents, its Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. And the object of this research are very Qur’an verse in al-Baqarah. The second division is madinah and it’s the longest division in Qur’an, and the number is 286 verse. And its also called as Qur’an fustat, because it’s also have some laws that didn’t metion in other devision. The devision that also contains lats of superiority for people that apply it. That’s for not too big and to much criticism to that verse definition. The research had classification to deternine the verse with criteria that exist in tasybih tradition for the explanation in tekstual if that verse is amtsal verse. And that verse is al-Baqarah, 17-19, verse 146, verse 171, and verse 265. After analyze that verse by the comentator’s explanations. There are some education’s value that we can learn from the amtsal verse in this research. That value must be glutinous in muslim’s self to make them can reach the predicate as an Allah’s slave in Allah’s side. That values are faith, obidiens value, moral valuegod’sguidencs value, religious proselytizing motivasi value, unity of god value, sincere value, thanks value, benefit value, conviction value, work’s etous value, expliat value, and tolerant value.

Abstract

The background of this research with low level of knowledge and understanding of students in the subjects taught in the educational unit. it is caused by a large load of the subjects taught, the number of core competencies and basic competencies are mastered, the lack of teaching materials used reference and instructional media use is considered monotonous. Therefore, the education unit is expected to have a strategy to deal with the issues involved, so that the learning process in educational units to run well so that student learning outcomes can be achieved to the fullest. One of them is the development of teaching materials and media learning. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of the development of teaching materials and media with the results of student learning in Public Elementary Schools District Sungai Kunjang. This research is a quantitative study with associative approach. The number of respondents in this research is 160 students, this selection using quota sampling technique and proportional random sampling. The technique of data analysis in this research is using correlation test and t-test. The results of this research is there is a positive and significant relationship between the development of teaching materials and media with the results of student learning in Islamic Religious Education in Public Elementary Schools District Sungai Kunjang.
