Abstract

Background: Drug planning is a process of selecting drugs and health supplies to determine the type and amount of drugs in order to meet drug needs at the puskesmas. Planning for drug needs at the Waruroyom Health Center is still not in accordance with real needs. This is often a gap between the drug requirements requested by the puskesmas and the drugs provided by the health office. The purpose of this study was to find out about the drug planning process at the Waruroyom Public Health Center Methods: this type of research is a qualitative research with in-depth interview method, the data is collected by means of observation, documentation, and the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. Results: The results showed that the drug planning process still had obstacles in the process of calculating drug requirements so that it still caused vacancies and excess quantities of drugs that could affect the process of procuring drug needs and losses due to the accumulation of drug stock. Conclusion: Based on the research results of the Waruroyom Health Center to increase knowledge of calculating drug needs for drug needs planning managers to apply the EOQ, ROP, and Safety stock calculation methods to avoid drug vacancies and excess drug stock and combine ABC and VEN methods in determining the types of drugs that will be prioritized to be administered.

Abstract

Background: Stunting describes poor linear growth with z-score TB/U <-2SD. In 2020, Kebondalem Village had 27.9% stunting cases, exceeding provincial (27.7%) and national (26.9%). This study aims to analyze the relationship between risk factors and the stunting toddler incident in Kebondalem Village, Pemalang District, Pemalang Regency. Methods: This research is an observational quantitative analytic with a case-control design. Sampling using simple random sampling technique, with 49 cases and 49 controls. History of exclusive breastfeeding, acute diarrhea, family income per capita, and maternal education were obtained by questionnaire, while history of growth and development monitoring was obtained by KMS. Analysis through Chi-Square test and risk value test. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between stunting and a history of exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.000; OR=0.146; CI95%=0.057-0.377), family income per capita (p=0.025; OR=0.395, CI95%=0.174-0.898); and mother's education (p=0.013, OR=0.308, CI95% =0.119-0.797). However, there was no relationship between stunting and a history of acute diarrhea (p=0.094; OR=2.037; CI95%=0.882-4.706) and a history of growth monitoring (p=0.161; OR=0.443; CI95%=0.139–1.409). Conclusion: Toddlers without exclusive breastfeeding, having a history of acute diarrhea, low family income per capita, low maternal education, and a history of poor growth monitoring, have a greater risk of experiencing stunting.

Abstract

Background: Cashew apple can be processed into food or beverage products such as jam, syrup, jelly and others. Sport gel is a sports drink product. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration cashew apple juice on the acceptability of sports gel products. Methods: This research method uses complete randomized design. The ratio of cashew apple to water is given 1:0, 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3. Then a hedonic test was carried out to determine the acceptability of the sport gel using a questionnaire taken from 30 untrained panelists. The Somogyi-Nelson test is used to determine the total sugar content. Analysis of hedonic test data using the Kruskal-Wallis test and continued the Mann-Whitney test. Analysis of total sugar data using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: Hedonic test results p values = 0.000 (taste), 0.303 (aroma), 0.469 (texture), and 0.393 (color). Mann-Whitney's follow-up test results were p values = 0.000 (F0 and F1), 0.004 (F0 and F2), 0.002 (F0 and F3), 0.000 (F1 and F2), 0.000 (F1 and F3), 0.797 (F2 and F3). The result of the total sugar test p value = 0.083. Conclusion:The concentration of cashew apple juice only affects the acceptability in the taste aspect and does not affect the total sugar content of the cashew apple sport gel.

Abstract

Background: In research on the long-term stability and shelf life of yoghurt, it was found that sweet potatoes were the only starch that performed well at three storage times, the sensory viscosity was significantly higher than the control, and samples containing starch were more accepted. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of shelf life on the physical and microbiological characteristics of yellow sweet potato synbiotic yogurt (Ipomoea batatas L). Methods: Quantitative experimental research with RAL research design factorial pattern 3, with a shelf life difference consisting of 3 levels, duplo repetition. The free variables are the shelf life of yellow sweet potato yoghurt for 0 days, 7 days, and 14 days, and the bound variables are physical characteristics (pH content, viscosity, TAT, TPT) and microbiology (total BAL). Results: Yellow sweet potato synbiotic yoghurt with all three shelf life meets the standards, namely in TAT, TPT and Total BAL and does not meet the standards at pH and viscosity because the pH is too low and the viscosity is too thick. Conclusion: Yoghurt with a shelf life of 14 days still meets the standards and can be consumed.

Abstract

Background: The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has increased since it was first discovered in Indonesia. It is important to know that public concerns and public awareness of the COVID-19 disease are needed to assist risk communication during the pandemic. Therefore, researchers want to know the potential of Google Trends to monitor public reaction during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This research is a quantitative research using time series approach (1 Juni 2021-30 September 2021). The keyword related to COVID-19 disease used in this study is ‘corona’. Bivariate analysis using Spearman correlation test. Results: Based on the results of the Spearman correlation test, it shows that there is a correlation between the search trend for the term 'corona' and the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Central Java with an r count of +0.649 and a p value of 0.0001. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the search trend for the term 'corona' and the number of cases of COVID-19. This shows that the search for information related to COVID-19 may be able to monitor public reaction during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Background: Poor sanitation conditions have a negative impact on many aspects of life, such as decreasing of environmental quality, polluted drinking water sources and the emergence of diseases such as stunting nutrition problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparative difference in the number of stunting cases based on the status of the implementation of Community-Led Total Sanitation in Tegal Regency. Methods: This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a comparative method. The research subjects were 212 villages in Tegal Regency. Research variables include the status of CLTS implementation, access to sanitation and access to clean water. The instruments used are secondary data recapitulation forms and computers. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney test with = 0.05. Results: The average number of stunting cases is 67.85 cases based on STBM application status, 93.50 cases based on access to sanitation, and 83.43 cases based on access to clean water. Conclusion: There is a significant difference between the status of CLTS implementation (p=0.000), access to sanitation (p=0.000), access to clean water (p=0.000) and the number of stunting cases.
