Abstract

There were some problems faced by teacher during the process of teaching reading skill. These problems were hard to be figured out by the teacher in SMP Negeri 8 Dulupi. Thus this research was conducted to find the empirical data which observed in detail related to these problems. Moreover, the dominant explanation of this research took an aim to find out the teachers’ problems in teaching reading there were deciding the appropriate method, students’ less motivation and interest, students’ lack of vocabulary, limited facilities in teaching, overcrowded class and not enough material sources. This research took the method of qualitative research through observation and interview as the technique of collecting the data and took teacher of SMPN 8 Dulupi as the participant of research. The researcher had examined the aim of this research and it was found that the biggest problems faced by the teacher were deciding the appropriate method, students’ less motivation and interest, students’ lack of vocabulary, limited facilities in teaching, and not enough material sources while the overcrowded class was not affecting the teaching reading process since the amount of students in the class was well-handled.

Abstract

Permasalahan awal dari pola konsumsi yakni tingginya nilai jual barang dan jasa, banyaknya jumlah anggota dalam keluarga, banyaknya pendidikan yang hanya sampai bangku sekolah dasar serta tidak adanya tabungan untuk persiapan dimasa depan. Fokus masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah “Bagaimana pola konsumsi masyarakat desa Bongo Nol dan fator-faktor apa yang mempengaruhi pola konsumsi, tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pola konsumsi masyarakat desa Bongo Nol dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi pola konsumsi masyarakat di desa Bongo Nol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pola konsumsi masyarakat di Desa Bongo Nol Kecamatan Paguyaman Kabupaten Boalemo yakni pendapatan, jumlah tanggungan, pendidikan dan tabungan. Hal ini berdasarkankondisi yang ada dilapangan bahwa keempat kriteria tersebut menjadi faktor penting dalam mempengaruhi pola konsumsi masyarakat yang ada di Desa Bongo Nol Kecamatan Paguyaman Kabupaten Boalemo.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Komunikasi Guru Terhadap Perilaku Belajar Siswa SMP Negeri 6 Satap Tibawa Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian Survei. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari penyebaran kuisioner pada Siswa SMP Negeri 6 Satap Tibawa Kabupaten Gorontalo. Jumlah Penarikan Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebesar 51 responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai regresi dan hasil uji hipotesis terdapat pengaruh positif komunikasi guru terhadap perilaku belajar siswa SMP Negeri 6 Satap Tibawa Kabupaten Gorontalo. Besaran pengaruh Komunikasi Guru Terhadap Perilaku Belajar Siswa 24,9% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 75,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang tidak diteliti.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis formula, kadar ar, kadar abu, protein,antioksidan dan organoleptik dari produk minuman fungsional fortifikasi dari serbuk teripang pasir dan serbuk daun bayam merah. Pada penelitian ini, organoleptic dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan Rasch model, parameter kimia (kadar air, kadar abu, protein dan antioksidan) dirancang menggunakan RAL dan dianalisis menggunakan Anova. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan dua kali ulangan Terdapat 3 taraf perlakuan konsentrasi formula yang berbeda yaitu produk A (serbuk teripang pasir 3 gram dan serbuk daun bayam merah 9 gram), B ( serbuk teripang pasir 7 gram dan serbuk daun bayam merah 5 gram), C (serbuk teripang 9 gram dan serbuk daun bayam merah 3 gram). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai organoleptik hedonik minuman fungsional fortifikasi dari serbuk teripang pasir dam serbuk daun bayam merah yang diminati oleh panelis terdapat pada produk A (warna dan rasa) pada kriteria sangat suka dan produk B (aroma) pada kriteria suka. Bedasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukan bahwa minuman fungsional fortifikasi dari serbuk teripang pasir dan serbuk daun bayam merah memilik antioksidan sangat kuat terdapat pada produk A dengan nilai 10,7 ppm. Hasil uji kadar air maksimal 3,0%, kadar abu maksimal. 1,5% dan protein 60% telah memenuhi syarat mutu SNI 01-2891-1992. Hasil Anova terhadap kadar air pada produk berpengaruh tidak nyata. Hasil anova kadar abu pada produk berpengaruh nyata,hasil uji lanjut duncan pada produk A dengan nilai 0,8% dan B dengan nilai 0,03% bebeda tidak nyata, namun berbeda nyata dengan produk C dengan nilai 0,01%. Hasil anova protein pada produk berpengaruh nyata, hasil uji lanjut duncan pada ketiga produk berbeda nyata dengan nilai produk A 0,33%, B 0,37% dan C 0,16%. Hasil Anova pada aktivitas antioksidan berpengaruh nyata, hasil uji lanjut duncan pada ketiga produk berbeda nyata dengan nilai pada produk A 0,16%, B 0,20% dan C 21,24%.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the perspective of English teachers towards the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at SMP Negeri 16 Gorontalo. The participants in this study were English teachers consisting of 2 teachers who taught classes V11 to 1X for the 2022/2023 academic year. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques using interviews and documentation (Sugiyono, 2016). This study also uses the data analysis model of Miles and Huberman (1984), as cited in Sugiyono (2016). The interview indicators were adapted and developed from the fourteen learning principles of the 2013 curriculum in Permendikbud number 22 of 2016. The results of this study indicate that English teachers have quite well implemented the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. It is evident from the teacher's strategy in implementing the 2013 curriculum learning principles. However, several principles still have not met the 2013 curriculum learning expectations and the obstacles encountered by English teachers. Some of the teacher obstacles in implementing the 2013 curriculum include limited learning resources, teacher readiness, book sources that are difficult to understand, lack of training or workshops on implementing the 2013 curriculum, assessment formulation, lack of teacher understanding in integrated learning, lack of student participation and confidence, and limited facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu kelas VII di SMP negeri 4 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan dan Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan besarnya sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 48 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi,wawancara,kuesioner dan dokumentasi, serta di analisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kompetensi pedagogik guru memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu di kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Persamaan regresi linier sederhana diproleh bahwa Ŷ = 1.612 + 0,976x, menunjukkan bahwa Konstanta sebesar 1.612 menyatakan bahwa nilai konstanta 1.612 akan menunjukkan nilai kompetensi pedagogik guru (X) sebesar 1.612 dengan nilai prestasi belajar siswa (Y). Selanjutnya, koefisien regresi variabel kompetensi pedagogik guru (X) sebesar 0,976, yang nilainya postitif artinya jika kompetensi pedagogik guru mengalami kenaikan atau penambahan 1 (satu) nilai yang berasal dari kompetensi pedagogik guru, maka prestasi belajar siswa (Y) akan mengalami kenaikan sebesar 0,976, dengan asumsi variabel lainnya kosntan. Kompetensi pedagogik guru mampu memberikan kontribusi atau pengaruh sebesar 45,7% terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Artinya, variabel kompetensi pedagogik guru memiliki proporsi pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa sebesar 45,7% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 54,3 dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to elaborate on students' perceptions of online learning in the English grammar course, Department of English, State University of Gorontalo. The participants in this study were 15 students from all classes for the 2020/2021 academic year, 3 of whom were taken from each class. This study uses qualitative research method, the data obtained from the results of written interviews. Next, this this study uses thematic analysis to analyze the data. The results of this study found 6 themes consisting of implementing online classes, advantages of online classes, disadvantages of online classes, constraints on using online classes, independent learning, and suggestions. Online learning has been implemented since the Covid¬19 pandemic. And this raises various perceptions from students regarding online learning itself. This is evidenced by the perceptions of students who have been given to this research. Then this online learning has positive and negative impacts. In other words, online learning has advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, the results of this study indicate that most students strongly disagree if online learning can be used on an ongoing basis. Considered the disadvantages and obstacles are more than the advantages.

Abstract

Speech act is the utterance that speakers performs or speaker says in every speech. One of the benefits that can be learned on this study is help us to understand what hidden massage in every utterance. This research is aimed to explore the speech act in a fantasy film which is titled The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The researcher pick this film as the object of research because this is a good film and the researcher finds some illocutionary acts. Moreover, the act of doing something as commonly known as Illocution, is a speech act that aimed at doing something (Parera, 1991:151). The concept of illocutionary act is expected to cover up the "act of saying something" in the "full normal sense". According to Austin the "full normal sense" can be explained as "the utterance of certain words in a certain construction, and the utterance of them with a certain 'meaning' in the favourite sense of that word". According to Searle (Mey. 1994:163) there are five types of illocutionary act, there are: representatives, directives, commisives, expressive, and declaratives. While this research will be focused on Directives. Speech act is one of important thing to learn, because by learning this we can improve our sense or can be easily understand what are the massage that hidden in every single speech or utterance in conversation or movie. As the focus of the research which is the directives speech act of The hobbit: An unexpected journey. The researcher is going to analyze what are the speech act that exist in that movie. This research is going to be a library research with qualitative method, this is going to be focused on illocutionary acts based on Searle that will be found on The hobbit: An unexpected journey movie script.

Abstract

This study examines the blaks perspective between white and black that happened in life in the movie The Hate U Give by George Tillmen Jr 2018, by analyzing the two opposite perspective of dicrimination using the Critical Race Theory. Critical Race Theory is used to find out what is racial discrimination that occur in social life between black and white in United State, This theory is devided into four: everyday racism, material determinism, social construction, and intersectionality. However this study only focused on examining the blacks point of view toward racialism. Based on the result, it is foundout that there are some white people who doing indirectly racist act toward black people, such as prejuce, class, education, race, and so on discover by the system in United State who not makes the racial discrimination gone, but it has been cover and change indirectly way and most of white people did not realize it.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the students’ perception on English teaching effectiveness in the classroom activities. This research sought students' perceptions on teaching effectiveness in the classroom activities which prompt the utilization of mixed-method. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo. In conducting this research, the participants were the eighth-grade students in SMP Negeri 4 Gorontalo. The eighth-grade in SMP Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo itself is divided into five classes in which every class contains 25-30 students. The number of participants were 40 students selected from five classes of the eighth-grade. The data was collected using questionnaire and analysed using scoring, analysing problems, and concluding/interpreting. The results showed that English teaching effectiveness in the classroom is good. It was judged from four indicators of effectiveness itself. Those were instructional delivery, student assessment, learning environment, and personal qualities. Based on the research, the four indicators of effectiveness were categorized well. It was proven by the fact that most of the students in the position of agree.
