MAGENANG adalah jurnal kajian Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristen. Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Pascasarjana Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Manado (IAKN) Manado.Tujuan Jurnal Magenang adalah menghasilkan dan memajukan karya tulis ilmiah melalui media penelitian dan pemikiran kritis analitis di bidang kajian Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristen.Nama Magenang berarti berpikir.Magenang adalah sebuah kata yang diambil dari bahasa Toutemboan (sub suku di Minahasa). Kata Magenang yang dipakai sebagai nama jurnal ilmiah ini dimaknai sebagai cara berpikir kritis untuk menghasilkan pikiran yang kritis di bidang Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristen. Jurnal Magenang diterbitkan dengan frekuensi 2 kali setahun pada bulan Juli dan Desember. MAGENANG menerima tulisan artikel yang mencakup Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristen. Artikel yang dikirimkan haruslah belum pernah atau tidak sedang dalam proses dimuat dalam jurnal lainnya. Setiap artikel yang dikirim harus mengikuti petunjuk penulisan atau gaya selingkung yang telah ditetapkan. Setiap artikel yang diajukan ke Jurnal Magenang akan melewati tahapan review menggunakan blind review, yang berfokus pada kebaruan Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristen. Abstract

This study discusses the theological ethical review of the Mahelur ritual practice behind the culture of the Minahasa Christian community of North Sulawesi. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. This study aims to find the theological ethical meaning behind this ritual practice and provide conclusions that can be understood as follows: First, the Mahelur ritual practice is carried out to re-establish a relationship with God as the creator of the universe, where blessings will continue to flow in the life of the Minahasa people. Second, there are views pro and con against the practice of Minahasa cultural rituals, where views that reject and regard it as a misguided act are caused by a lack of understanding of the history and meaning of Minahasa culture. Third, the conclusion of this study shows that the Mahelur ritual practice basically has a theological ethical meaning that establishes and builds a relationship with the creator of the universe in order to be given blessings and abundance in human life. It teaches that the source of blessings, life, and success comes.

Abstract

This research intends to conduct a literature study on the problem of pluralism which has an impact on missiology. The purpose of this study is to provide a map of the challenges and opportunities for the implementation of the church's mission in the context of religious diversity in Indonesia. This topic was then examined using a descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach. The recommendation from the results of this research is a new mission paradigm, namely by carrying out evangelization activities to present the mission of God's kingdom by: fighting for human values and the integrity of creation; bringing living testimonies that are increasingly real; and carry a gentle mission of reconciliation to embrace followers of other religions without trying to convert them to Christianity.

Abstract

The PAK method is a service, an effective work, which we do for God and fellow human beings, so that the two parties serve each other, the meaning is a method that helps students in learning sir, to really learn God's word where changes occur, both in his knowledge, attitudes and values as well as his conduct according to the word of God. However, Homringhausen reminded that the method is only a way or a way or not an end in itself, so we cannot absolute the method. This means that our main goal is how students in PAK learning maximally learn from God's Word. Based on the results of the author's observations, at the end of PAK lessons which were conducted using this storytelling method, the teacher did not provide applications to students' real lives. This has an impact on the quality of life of students who are not getting better. Based on the results of the researchers' observations of student behavior after participating in PAK learning, it was very much dominated by one another's bad behavior. The storytelling method must be able to stimulate the imagination of students, by means of delivery that seems to live in the story being told. The result of the author's observation is that Eklesia Vocational High School teachers are not able to tell stories in a style, expression, expression that seems to live in the story. That's why learning becomes ineffective.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain data about the Yesu method and the involvement of the Congregation in Evangelism. Research in this journal uses literature and observation. Research results show that evangelism is a way to tell people that you care about them, and God cares about them too. As a form of concern for people's safety, evangelism is a must for every follower of Christ, and a sign of your loyalty to Him. That spiritual growth takes place in the company of the redeemed and, on the other hand, as a witness for the group that needs to be redeemed.

Abstract

This article examines the professionalism of Christian Religious Education Teachers at the Senior High School level in Manado City. The research was conducted using qualitative methods which were built from literature research, observation and interviews. This study begins with research on the professionalism of teachers, both teachers in general and Christian Religious Education teachers which are based on the example of the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Great Teacher. Then proceed with empirical research on the form of professionalism of Christian Religious Education teachers, the obstacles faced by Christian Religious Education teachers in increasing their professionalism and the efforts of Christian Religious Education teachers in overcoming obstacles to increase their professionalism. The results of the study show that there is an opinion regarding professional teachers of Christian Religious Education at the high school level in the city of Manado which have links to formalities such as a minimum bachelor's diploma, following the teacher certification process, education and training, understanding the curriculum and alliances with fellow teachers. The obstacle for a Christian Religious Education teacher in increasing his professionalism comes from external factors such as the limited development costs and opportunities for developing Christian Religious Education teachers themselves. Meanwhile, the efforts of a Christian Religious Education teacher in overcoming obstacles in increasing professionalism are also external factors such as further studies, mastery of the curriculum and skills in the preparation of learning tools. With the results of this study, it is possible to recommend proposals for Christian Religious Education teachers, especially in the city of Manado for the professional development of teachers using the Action Research model. This model provides opportunities for Christian Religious Education teachers to be involved and as the main actors in the learning process, they identify and find problems, and then explore, explore and find their own answers to problems they encounter in the field. The Action Research Model is a model that can be an alternative choice to help teachers develop their professionalism.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tantangan yang dihadapi Gereja dalam konteks politik identitas di Indonesia, terutama selama tahun politik. Dengan keragaman suku, agama, ras, dan golongan yang tinggi, Indonesia rentan terhadap konflik identitas politik, yang sering kali timbul dari intoleransi agama. Konflik ini sering kali berkaitan dengan tingkat keragaman yang tidak diimbangi dengan nilai-nilai kerukunan dan persatuan. Dalam konteks ini, Gereja harus waspada terhadap risiko politik identitas, terutama dalam strategi pelayanannya. Keberagaman seperti pertimbangan suku dan kelompok bisa mempengaruhi dinamika internal Gereja. Kekuatan Gereja hanya dapat tetap kokoh jika didasarkan pada Kristus sebagai tiang utama. Di tengah kerumitan politik di Indonesia, politik identitas dilihat sebagai ancaman terhadap persekutuan Gereja. Lebih lanjut, politik identitas berkaitan dengan kepemimpinan dalam Gereja, di mana pemimpin harus memiliki visi dan misi yang kuat, yang dibangun melalui komunikasi dan relasi yang solid. Gereja harus berhati-hati dalam menghadapi politik identitas ini. Untuk melawan politik identitas, diperlukan iman (spiritualitas) yang mendukung sikap toleransi, cinta keadilan dan kebenaran, serta empati terhadap kelompok marginal. Dengan cara ini, Gereja dapat berkontribusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang timbul dari politik identitas di Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran GERMITA Betel Alo dalam mengimplementasikan tema teologis Shema Israel dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, informan berjumlah 30 orang, yang terdiri dari pendeta, pelayan khusus dan anggota jemaat yang terbagi atas tiga kategori. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh beberapa peran gereja dalam mengimplementasikan tema teologis Shema Israle bagi PAK, yaitu gereja menjadi sarana pengajaran berulang, tempat menyampaikan keesaan Allah dan menjadi tempat menyampaikan kasih Allah. Pengimplementasian tema teologis ini tidak hanya sebatas materi pembelajaran tetapi sudah sampai kepada tindakan nyata yang diwujudkan melalui berbagai program gereja yang dilakukan oleh seluruh jemaat. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Peran Gereja, Shema Israel Abstract This study aims to determine the role of GERMITA Betel Alo implementing the theological theme Shema Israel in Christian Religious Education. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. In this study, there were 30 informants consisting of pastors, deacons and church members who were divided into three categories. From the results of data analysis, several roles of the church in implementing the theological theme of Shema Israle for PAK were obtained, namely the church being a means of repeated teaching, a place to convey the oneness of God and a place to convey God's love. The implementation of this theological theme is not only limited to learning materials but has reached concrete actions that are realized through various church programs carried out by the entire congregation. Abstract

Aplikasi TikTok kini menjadi platform media sosial paling populer di kalangangenerasi muda. Sayangnya, di balikpopularitasnya, penggunaan TikTok berpotensi menimbulkan sejumlah masalahetika dan bahkan berdampak buruk bagipenggunanya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukanpanduan etis agar TikTok tetap digunakansecara bertanggung jawab dan selarasdengan nilai-nilai moral yang dianutmasyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalahmenjelaskan peran Gereja sebagai institusimoral dan spiritual dalam menjaga etikapenggunaan aplikasi TikTok sertamemberikan panduan konkret agar TikTok tetap digunakan sesuai nilai-nilai moral Kristiani. Metode penelitian yang dipakaiadalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studipustaka dan analisis isi. Berdasarkantelaah pustaka, penelitian ini menemukanbahwa Gereja memiliki tanggung jawabpenting untuk membimbing umat, terutamagenerasi muda yang rentan, agar bijakmenggunakan TikTok dan terhindar daridampak negatifnya. Gereja juga wajibmenyediakan pendidikan etika Kristen yang komprehensif bekerja sama dengansekolah dan orang tua gunamemperlengkapi generasi mudamenghadapi tantangan digital. Selain itu, Gereja perlu memberikan panduan praktisagar umat memanfaatkan TikTok untuktujuan positif sekaligus waspada terhadapkonten berbahaya, demi menjagakeselarasan dengan nilai-nilai moral Kristiani di tengah derasnya arusglobalisasi digital. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the formation of Christian teenagers' identity through church and family Christian Religious Education. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observations and interviews with adolescents, parents, special ministers, and congregational pastors. The results of data analysis and interpretation indicate that: (1) Christian youth identity formation through PAK has been carried out by the church and family, but still requires more cooperation, both in active programs and enthusiasm of adolescents to worship, (2) The inhibiting factors in the formation of adolescent identity are adolescents themselves, parents, and peers. Based on these findings, it is suggested that the special service commission should be able to embrace adolescents who are not yet active from worship fellowship and church activities through more active programs and establish cooperation with parents. Parents still provide motivation and examples so that adolescents grow in the knowledge of God's love so that it radiates from thoughts, words and behavior. Thus, the formation of Christian adolescent identity is very important for adolescents so that they know themselves as a whole and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan peran orang tua dalam pembentukan spiritualitas anak sekolah minggu di Jemaat GMIM Eben Haezer Koha. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di GMIM Eben Haezer Koha pada tahun 2022. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Dari hasil analisis data peneliti menemukan bahwa: (1)orang tua berperan penting dalam pembentukan spiritualitas anak sekolah minggu. (2)orang tua berperan sebagai pengajar utama untuk mengajarkan tentang Kristus dan ajaranNya kepada anak. (3)peran orang tua menjadi contoh dan teladan bagi anak. (4)orang tua malas dan lalai nampak dalam perilaku mereka yang kurang berperan aktif dalam pembentukan spiritualitas anak menjadi hambatan dalam pembentukan spiritualitas anak. (5)dalam kehidupan sehari-hari orang tua belum menjadi contoh yang baik untuk ditiru oleh anak. (6)minimnya waktu bersama anak bagi orang tua yang bekerja. (7)mengajarkan dan mengingatkan orang tua lewat khotbah digereja maupun perkunjungan khusus merupakan upaya pendeta untuk berperan dalam pembentukan spiritualitas anak. (8)upaya guru sekolah minggu mengadakan program yang kreatif untuk menarik anak mengikuti kegiatan anak sekolah minggu dan mengikutsertakan orang tua didalamnya. (9)orang tua berupaya memperbaiki diri agar dapat menjadi contoh yang baik bagi anak. (10)memaksimalkan waktu bersama dengan anak.
