Abstract

Imperceptible of Watermarking in Digital Image Based Singular Value Decomposition. Watermarking is a commonly used technique to protect digital image from unintended used such as counterfeiting. This paper will address one of the techniques to embed a watermark to digital image which is based on the singular value decomposition. The primary target to be achieved by a good watermarking technique is that the watermarked image is imperceptible and that the inserted image can still be perfectly retrieved even though various transformations are done to the watermarked image. Our works show that the SVD-based watermarking demonstrates both imperceptibility as well as robustness of the watermarking scheme as indicated by significantly high value of correlation between the inserted and retrieved logo after some transformation such as PSNR, RML and Compression.

Abstract

Comparison Of 137Cs Vertical Distribution Profile At Soil Layer Obtained By Measurement And Simulation. This investigation aimed to compare a profile of 137Cs vertical distribution at soil layer in the stable site (undisturbed site). Conservation forest that has been becoming as conservation area since 1925 namely Gn. Pangrango was selected as study site. Sampling of soil was done in Pancawati – Ciawi. Sampling was done by using scrapper ( 20 x 50) cm, with layer increment of 2 cm until the depth of 24 cm (107 kg/m2) or 26 cm (137 kg/m2), and sampling was done at 5 points. Soil samples were brought to the laboratory for preparation and analysis of 137Cs content by using MCA at 662 keV energy. The result showed that the comparison of 137Cs vertical distribution profile between measurement and simulation has a significant differences.

Abstract

The population density and growth of the cockle Anadara antiquata L. Pelecypoda in Pisang River bay area Padang city, west Sumatera. The research has been done from March to December in 2004. The cockles A. antiquata were collected with systimatic stratified method. The cockle A. antiquata colletion site were divided three strata. The each strata were divided three station based on the water depth. Results of the research showed that the higest density of the cockle A. antiquata was found at station 1 strata III (1.8 ind./m2) and the lowest density at the station 3 strata I (0.9 ind./m2). The higest growth rate of A. antiquata was the length 3 cm (0.064 ± 0.043 cm/ind./15 day) and the lowest growth rate was the length 5 cm (0.009± 0.011 cm/ind./15 day) with corellation similarity Y=0.087–0.0165X; r=0.976).

Abstract

Cellulose having a medium-responsive function were synthesized by photografting of methacrylic acid (MAA) on regenerated cellulose film (thickness = 20 µm) at 60°C using mixed solvent consisting of water and organic solvents such as acetone and methanol. Xanthone was used as photoinitiator by coating on the film surfaces. A maximum percentage of grafting was observed at a certain concentration of organic solvent. MAA-grafted cellulose films produced showing homogeneous distribution of grafted chains, which was examined by scanning electron microscopy. The modified films also exhibit medium responsive character, it shrinks in acidic and swells in basic solution. Moreover, the grafted film exhibited the ability to absorb copper ion, which was not influenced by the solvent used in grafting processes.

Abstract

Total Suspended Solid Content And Sediment On The Bottom Surface Of Panimbang Water. The study of dynamics oceanography have been executed on June 2004 in the East season. Distribution of total suspended solid on the surface and bottom waters at the Estuary of Ciliman River is lower than Estuary of Cibungur River. Generally mud and silty mud of sediment on the bottom surface waters covered the western part of Panimbang beach. Gravel, silty sand and muddy sand with forams, fraction of mollust and corals found at the Southwest of the study area. In that area is also found many floating of Bagan Apung which is assumed as rich with fishes

Abstract

Study on Pb Content in 3 Week and 6 Week Old Kangkung (Ipomoea reptans Poir) Planted in Pb containing Media. A study on the content of Pb in kangkung has been conducted. Land kangkung (Ipomoea reptans) was used as the sample, and was planted in hydrophonic media, and watered with Multigrow Complete Plant Food (2000 mg/L) and Pb solution (2 mg/L) twice a day. Samples were taken based on the age (3 and 6 week old), and part of the plant (root and all parts without root). Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer (ICPS) Fison 3410+ was used to measure the Pb content. It was shown that in the plant the accumulation was mostly happened in the root. The 6 week-old plant contained Pb not just in the root (3.36 mg/kg sample) but also in the other part of the plant (2.09 mg/kg sample) and those were exceeded the maximum dietary allowance (2 mg/kg sample) regulated by the Indonesian FDA; while in the 3 week-old plant the Pb content in the root was 1.86 mg/kg sample and in the other part of the plan was 1.13 mg/kg, which is not exceeded the dietary allowance. So it is advisable to harvest the kangkung vegetable at the most of 3 week-old.

Abstract

Notes on the Echinoderm Fauna of the Tanjung Merah Bay Waters Sulawesi Utara. A total of 21 species of echinoderms, belonging to of 5 species holothuroidea, 5 species of asteroidea, 4 species echinoidea and 7 species ophiuroidea have been found in the Tanjung Merah of Sulawesi Utara. The Ophiuroidea were relatively common in the sea grass zone. On the basis of population density, Ophiuroidea was the dominant group and relatively highest in the individual density. The species composition, community structure, zonation, and spatial distribution of echinoderm fauna are discussed in this paper

Abstract

Triterpenoids from n-hexane extract of Garcinia picrorrhiza Miq. stem bark. Chromatographic separation of n-hexane extract of dried Garcinia picrorrhiza Miq. stem bark (Cluciaceae) furnished two triterpenoids, identified as 3oxo-7,24-euphadien-26oic acid (1), 3β-hydroxy-7,24-euphadien-26 oic acid (2). The structure of compounds were determined by using UV-vis, FT-IR, 1D and 2D NMR techniques.

Abstract

Zooplankton communities in the Krenceng Reservoair, Cilegon, Banten. This research was carried out to know the structure of zooplankton communities and relations between the phytoplankton and zooplankton in the Krenceng Reservoair, Cilegon. The zooplankton abundance with used Sedwigck Rafter Counting Method, diversity and evenness were counted. Relations between zooplankton and the environmental factors as well as its relations to phytoplankton calculated with regression. The results showed that are 13 species of the zooplankton found which including in three classes with the highest abundance on Novembers 2002 and March 2003 of the Rotifera. The analysis of regression pointed out that the environmental factors such: pH, BOD5, nitrate, CO2 and abundance of phytoplankton influence the abundance zooplankton in November. While in March, the abundance of zooplankton is influenced by brigthtness, nitrate, orthophosphates and C organic. The abundance of phytoplankton influenced positively by the abundance of zooplankton
