Kalistra: Kajian Linguistik dan Sastra merupakan jurnal ilmiah kebahasaan dan kesastraan yang diterbitkan oleh Prodi Sastra Indonesia, FKIP Universitas Jambi. Kalistra terbit tiga kali setahun setiap Mei, September, dan Januari. Abstract

The research aims to analyze the phenomenon of Bilingualism, Sociolinguistics, and code-mixing, that occurs in daily conversations, providing insight into how bilingual individuals manage language effectively and emphasizing the importance of context in language use. Code-mixing refers to the use of two or more languages in a single sentence or expression. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by repeatedly watching Denny Summargo’s Podcast with Maudy Ayunda in an episode entitled “Sombong & Star Syndrome!? Aku Hampir Batal nikah dengan Jesse Choi!! Maudy Ayunda-Curhat Bang” and referring to theories from books and journals as data collection techniques. The researcher concluded the results of his findings where the out of 135 data, 107 data used the Intra-Sentential Mixing type, 22 data used Intra-Lexical Mixing, 5 data used Clause Level Mixing and 1 data used Tag Mixing. The findings reveal type of code- mixing. Factors such as habits, environmental influences, repetition, the intention to clarify speech content, and the expression of group identity were identified. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena bilingualisme, sosiolinguistik, dan campur kode yang terjadi dalam percakapan sehari-hari, memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana individu bilingual mengelola bahasa secara efektif dan menekankan pentingnya konteks dalam penggunaan bahasa. Campur kode mengacu pada penggunaan dua bahasa atau lebih dalam satu kalimat atau ekspresi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan menonton berulang kali podcast youtube channel Denny Sumargo Bersama Maudy Ayunda dalam satu episode berjudul “Sombong & Star Syndrome!? Aku Hampir Batal nikah dengan Jesse Choi!! Maudy Ayunda-Curhat Bang” dan merujuk pada teori dari buku dan jurnal sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Peneliti menyimpukan hasil dari temuannya dimana dari 135 data terdapat 107 data yang menggunakan tipe Intra-Sentensial Mixing, 22 data menggunakan Intra-Lexical Mixing, 5 data menggunakan Clause Level Mixing dan 1 data menggunakan Tag Mixing. Temuan penelitian mengungkap jenis campur kode. Faktor-faktor seperti kebiasaan, pengaruh lingkungan, pengulangan, niat untuk memperjelas isi tuturan, dan ekspresi identitas kelompok diidentifikasi.

Abstract

Language is a primary tool for human communication, and influencing the thoughts and behaviors of others. In the context of social media platforms such as Twitter, language plays a highly strategic role, not only as a medium for personal expression but also as a powerful channel for the wide dissemination of information. One of the most concerning misuses of language in this sphere is the spread of hoaxes false or misleading information that is deliberately constructed to appear truthful, often with specific intentions such as deception, provocation, or incitement of division. This article examines how language is employed to construct and reinforce the narratives of hoaxes and hate speech on Twitter, focusing on lexical choices, rhetorical style, and the emotional appeals embedded in the language. often provocative, manipulative, and designed to elicit strong emotional reactions from audiences. It reveals that hoaxes and hate speech on social media frequently utilize linguistic techniques such as excessive generalizations and inflammatory diction to create tension and sow division within society. The impact of such phenomena extends beyond the digital realm, potentially triggering real-world social conflicts. Through a linguistic and media studies approach, this article aims to uncover the patterns of language used in the dissemination of disinformation and hate, while encouraging readers to adopt a more critical, mindful, and responsible attitude toward language use on social media platforms.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the character education values contained in Bobo Magazine's 50th Edition short story collection. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was done through reading and note-taking techniques. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.  The results of the analysis showed that of the 18 character education values determined by the Ministry of National Education, 13 values appeared in the short stories, namely: religion (4 quotes), honesty (1), tolerance (1), discipline (2), hard work (1), creativity (2), curiosity (3), nationalism (1), love for the country (2), love of peace (2), love to read (1), social care (12), and responsibility (5). These values are conveyed through character behavior, dialogue, and narratives that describe typical situations in the world of children. Thus, short stories in the 50th edition of Bobo Magazine can be an effective educational alternative media in instilling character education values for children. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam kumpulan cerpen Majalah Bobo Edisi 50 Tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik membaca dan mencatat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari 18 nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditetapkan oleh Kemendiknas, terdapat 13 nilai yang muncul dalam cerpen, yaitu: religius (4 kutipan), jujur (1), toleransi (1), disiplin (2), kerja keras (1), kreatif (2), rasa ingin tahu (3), nasionalisme (1), cinta tanah air (2), cinta damai (2), gemar membaca (1), peduli sosial (12), dan tanggung jawab (5). Nilai-nilai tersebut disampaikan melalui perilaku tokoh, dialog, serta narasi yang menggambarkan situasi khas dunia anak. Dengan demikian, cerpen dalam Majalah Bobo edisi 50 tahun dapat menjadi media alternatif edukatif yang efektif dalam penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter bagi anak-anak.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the forms of self-actualization needs found in the main character in the novel Selamat Tinggal. In this study, the literary psychology approach is focused on the humanistic psychology theory put forward by Abraham Maslow, especially regarding the hierarchy of needs and the achievement of self-actualization. In this study, data analysis techniques include activities such as classifying, analyzing, interpreting, and drawing conclusions from all the data that has been found. The results of the study indicate that the self-actualization of the main character in the novel Selamat Tinggal by Tere Liye is fulfilled. This is evidenced by the discovery of various forms of fulfillment of needs owned by the main character. physiological needs, security needs, affection needs, appreciation needs, and self-actualization needs were found. From the overall level of Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs can be found in the novel Selamat Tinggal by Tere Liye. From the results of this study, it is suggested that this study can be used as a reference for further researchers. This research can also be developed further, both in terms of character analysis such as additional characters, and in terms of the analytical approach used. Furthermore, it can compare the self-actualization of the main character in the novel Selamat Tinggal with characters in other novels by Tere Liye or other authors who raise the theme of self-actualization or the search for identity. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kebutuhan aktualisasi diri yang terdapat pada tokoh utama dalam novel Selamat Tinggal. Dalam penelitian ini, pendekatan psikologi sastra difokuskan pada teori psikologi humanistik yang dikemukakan oleh Abraham Maslow, khususnya mengenai hierarki kebutuhan dan pencapaian aktualisasi diri. Pada penelitian ini teknik analisis data mencakup kegiatan berupa mengklasifikasikan, menganalisa, memaknai, dan menarik kesimpulan dari semua data yang telah ditemukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktualisasi diri tokoh utama dalam novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye terpenuhi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan ditemukan beragam bentuk pemenuhan kebutuhan yang dimiliki oleh tokoh utama. ditemukan kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan rasa aman, kebutuhan kasih sayang, kebutuhan penghargaan, dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri. Dari keseluruhan Tingkat hierarki kebutuhan Abraham Maslow dapat ditemukan dalam novel Selamat Tinggal karya Tere Liye. Dari hasil penelitian ini di sarankan, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan referensi bagi peneliti selanjutnya. Penelitian ini juga masih dapat dikembangkan lagi, baik dari segi analisis tokoh seperti tokoh tambahan, maupun dari segi pendekatan analisis yang di gunakan. selanjutnya dapat membandingkan aktualisasi diri tokoh utama dalam novel Selamat Tinggal dengan tokoh dalam novel lain karya Tere Liye atau penulis lain yang mengangkat tema aktualisasi diri atau pencarian jati diri.

Abstract

This study aims to examine changes in the use of taboo language in the village community of Gajahan Colomadu, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province due to the influence of globalization and modernization. The area has many utterances that lead to language taboos. Through comparative analysis between past and present data, this study identifies the factors that cause these changes and their impact on the social and cultural values of the community. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with advanced techniques of listening and recording. The results show a shift in the use of taboo language, where some words or expressions that were previously considered taboo are now more widely accepted and have explanations that can be easily accepted by the community. The results of eight data regarding taboo language or pamali are still used by residents. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perubahan penggunaan bahasa tabu dalam masyarakat desa Gajahan Colomadu Kabupaten Karanganyar Provinsi Jawa Tengah akibat pengaruh globalisasi dan modernisasi. Daerah tersebut banyak memiliki ujaran yang mengarah ke dalam tabu bahasa. Melalui nalisis komparatif antara data masa lalu dan sekarang, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan perubahan tersebut serta dampaknya terhadap nilai-nilai sosial dan budaya masyarakat. Kajian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik lanjutan simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pergeseran penggunaan bahasa tabu, di mana beberapa kata atau ungkapan yang sebelumnya dianggap tabu kini menjadi lebih diterima secara luas dan memiliki penjelasan yang dapat dengan mudah diterima masyarakat. Hasil dari ebanyak delapan data mengenai bahasa tabu atau pamali yang masih digunakan oleh penduduk sekitar.

Abstract

This study examines the interplay of language, authority, and identity in the animated film The Boss Baby through the lens of conversation analysis. Focusing on the film’s unique premise, an infant who speaks and behaves like an adult. The research explores how linguistic features such as turn-taking, speech acts, and power dynamics are employed to construct and challenge traditional roles of childhood and adulthood. This research employs a qualitative method grounded in the principles of Conversation Analysis. By analyzing selected dialogues between the titular baby and other characters, this paper reveals how adult-like language is used to subvert expectations, assert dominance, and create comedic tension. The findings highlight how The Boss Baby uses conversation as a tool to blur age-based hierarchies, offering insights into how media narratives shape and reflect societal understandings of power and communication. Abstrak Penelitian ini meneliti interaksi bahasa, otoritas, dan identitas dalam film animasi The Boss Baby melalui lensa analisis percakapan. Berfokus pada premis unik film tersebut, seorang bayi yang berbicara dan berperilaku seperti orang dewasa. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana fitur linguistik seperti giliran bicara, tindakan bicara, dan dinamika kekuasaan digunakan untuk membangun dan menantang peran tradisional masa kanak-kanak dan dewasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang didasarkan pada prinsip-prinsip Analisis Percakapan. Dengan menganalisis dialog terpilih antara bayi tituler dan karakter lain, penelitian ini mengungkap bagaimana bahasa seperti orang dewasa digunakan untuk menumbangkan harapan, menegaskan dominasi, dan menciptakan ketegangan komedi. Temuan tersebut menyoroti bagaimana The Boss Baby menggunakan percakapan sebagai alat untuk mengaburkan hierarki berbasis usia, menawarkan wawasan tentang bagaimana narasi media membentuk dan mencerminkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang kekuasaan dan komunikasi.

Abstract

This article discusses the fragmentation of meaning in Aura_Urak's novel Romantic Revenge through Jacques Derrida's deconstruction approach. This study is motivated by the complexity of the relationship between love and revenge in literary texts that are laden with ambiguity of meaning. The research aims to reveal the instability of meaning in the love narrative presented, as well as how these meanings are always deferred, fragmented, and open to multiple interpretations. The method used is textual analysis with a post-structuralist approach, referring to Derrida's theory of deconstruction and Roland Barthes' concept of the death of the author. The findings reveal that the novel presents a non-linear dynamic of meaning, where love does not appear as a singular concept but as a fragile, contradictory, and context-dependent emotional experience. Thus, readers play a central role in shaping and negotiating the meaning of the ambiguous and paradoxical narrative. Abstrak Artikel ini membahas fragmentasi makna dalam novel Romantic Revenge karya Aura_Urak melalui pendekatan dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kompleksitas relasi cinta dan dendam dalam teks sastra yang sarat ambiguitas makna. Penelitian bertujuan mengungkap ketidakstabilan makna dalam narasi cinta yang ditampilkan, serta bagaimana makna-makna tersebut selalu tertunda, terpecah, dan terbuka terhadap interpretasi jamak. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis tekstual dengan pendekatan post-strukturalisme, mengacu pada teori dekonstruksi Derrida dan konsep kematian pengarang Roland Barthes. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa novel ini menyuguhkan dinamika makna yang tidak linier, di mana cinta tidak tampil sebagai konsep tunggal melainkan sebagai pengalaman emosional yang rapuh, kontradiktif, dan tergantung pada perspektif pembaca. Dengan demikian, pembaca memainkan peran sentral dalam membentuk dan menegosiasikan makna dari narasi yang ambigu dan penuh paradoks.

Abstract

This article discusses the comparative characteristics of the romance genre on two popular digital media platforms, Wattpad and Fizzo. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and John G. Cawelti's formula genre theory and Burhan Nurgiyantoro's structural characterization theory, this study aims to identify differences in plot formulas, characterization of female protagonists, and narrative themes. Wattpad tends to feature strong female characters and reflective and innovative narratives, while Fizzo maintains a conventional romance structure with subordinate female characters and male dominance as saviors. These findings show that reader preferences and market strategies help shape the romance genre in popular digital literature. Abstrak Artikel ini membahas perbandingan karakteristik genre romansa pada dua platform media digital populer, Wattpad dan Fizzo. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan teori genre formula dari John G. Cawelti serta teori struktural penokohan Burhan Nurgiyantoro, penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi perbedaan formula alur, karakterisasi tokoh utama perempuan, dan tema naratif. Wattpad cenderung menampilkan tokoh perempuan kuat dan narasi yang reflektif serta inovatif, sementara Fizzo mempertahankan struktur romansa konvensional dengan tokoh perempuan subordinatif dan dominasi laki-laki sebagai penyelamat. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa preferensi pembaca dan strategi pasar turut membentuk genre romansa dalam sastra digital populer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membahas citra diri perempuan serta citra sosial perempuan di dalam novel Racun Puan karya Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini dengan menggunakan kajian feminisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pemaparan data secara deskriptif dan diteliti dalam ruang lingkup kajian citra perempuan berdasarkan klasifikasi Sugihastuti. Data penelitian berasal dari semua tulisan dan narasi citra perempuan menurut klasifikasi Sugihastuti, dengan sumber data berasal dari novel Racun Puan karya Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan novel Racun Puan karya Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini memiliki bentuk-bentuk citra perempuan secara lengkap sesuai dengan klasifikasi Sugihastuti. Novel Racun Puan karya Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini memiliki citra perempuan baik dalam bentuk citra diri maupun citra sosial. Citra diri dalam novel Racun Puan dipaparkan lagi pada citra fisik dan citra psikis, sedangkan citra sosial dipaparkan juga pada citra perempuan di dalam keluarga dan citra perempuan di dalam masyarakat. Melalui analisis penelitian, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa citra diri perempuan di dalam novel Racun Puan karya Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini dipusatkan dalam penggambaran melalui citra psikis yang mayoritas dinarasikan pada berbagai tokoh perempuan sebagai perempuan yang dalam kehidupannya menderita secara psikis serta memiliki trauma akibat tekanan yang mereka terima dari lingkungan patriarki. Citra sosial perempuan di dalam novel Racun Puan karya Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini dipusatkan dalam penggambaran melalui citra perempuan di dalam keluarga yang dinarasikan bahwa perempuan diharuskan berperilaku sesuai dengan anggapan pada budaya patriarki, dipandang rendah dan kerap diposisikan pada kelas kedua, serta hanya dianggap sebagai pendukung bagi laki-laki. Abstract This study aims to describe and discuss women's self-image and women's social image in the novel Racun Puan by Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini using feminist studies. This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive data presentation and is studied within the scope of women's image studies based on Sugihastuti's classification. The research data comes from all writings and narratives of women's images according to Sugihastuti's classification, with data sources coming from the novel Racun Puan by Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini. The results of the study show that the novel Racun Puan by Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini has complete forms of women's images according to Sugihastuti's classification. The novel Racun Puan by Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini has women's images both in the form of self-image and social image. The self-image in the novel Racun Puan is again presented in the physical image and psychic image, while the social image is also presented in the image of women in the family and the image of women in society. Through research analysis, it can be concluded that the self-image of women in the novel Racun Puan by Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini is centered in the depiction through psychic images that are mostly narrated in various female characters as women who in their lives suffer psychologically and have trauma due to the pressure they receive from the patriarchal environment. The social image of women in the novel Racun Puan by Ni Nyoman Ayu Suciartini is centered in the depiction through the image of women in the family which is narrated that women are required to behave according to the assumptions of patriarchal culture, are looked down upon and are often positioned in the second class, and are only considered as supporters for men.

The design of this study aims to reveal the views of Indonesian teachers regarding digital learning, the forms of activities, the methods used, and the difficulties encountered during the implementation of Indonesian language learning at school. Data collection was carried out via a Google form which was distributed to Indonesian language teachers in senior high schools. Data analysis using interactive model Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show: 1) all Indonesian teachers have the view that microblog-assisted learning is very important to implement, 2) Indonesian language learning activities especially in the text of the observation report assisted by microblog can make teachers' creativity unlimited and support a better learning process for students . The benefit of this research is that students become more active and interested in participating in learning.
