Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the role of E-Magazine in promoting marine tourism destinations in Bali. Method: The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with data analysis following the Miles & Huberman approach. Data was collected using questionnaires administered to 30 respondents and surveys conducted with 40 tourist respondents using purposive sampling. The respondents were individuals who had read the e-magazine and had traveled to Bali. The data was processed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, using the 7P marketing mix approach. Result: Based on the data processed through data reduction using the 7P marketing mix approach, the Pelayaran Penuh Warna E-Magazine proved to be highly effective in promoting marine tourism destinations in Bali, with a respondent satisfaction rate of 92.5%. The e-magazine was also effective in delivering comprehensive and transparent information, with 93% of respondents finding the content in the e-magazine useful. Contribution: This study is expected to serve as a reference for travel agencies and similar businesses in building their corporate image by promoting marine tourism destinations.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the halal travel scheme in Indonesia and evaluate its compliance with sharia economic law, particularly focusing on standards set by DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 108/2016. Method: Using normative legal methods through a study of relevant legal regulations and literature, especially DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 108/2016. The study focuses on key sharia principles and assesses their application within the halal trip scheme, especially through innovations like the "Halal Tripnesian" platform. Result: The findings demonstrate that Indonesia's halal trip scheme largely aligns with sharia compliance standards, effectively incorporating critical elements such as halal-certified food, prayer facilities, and sharia-compliant accommodations. Despite facing challenges, including diverse interpretations of sharia law, a lack of unified global halal certification, and varying levels of halal literacy among stakeholders, the overall implementation has shown strong adherence to sharia principles. Technological innovations, particularly through digital platforms, have enhanced the accessibility and convenience of halal travel, supporting the growth of the sector and positioning Indonesia as a leading destination for Muslim-friendly tourism. Contribution: This study provides insights into the strengths and weaknesses of Indonesia’s halal travel scheme, highlighting the importance of regulatory support, digital innovation, and stakeholder education in ensuring sharia compliance. The research suggests that continued efforts in harmonizing halal standards and improving halal literacy are essential for sustaining growth and competitiveness in the global halal tourism market.

Abstract

Purpose: The West Sumatra Provincial Government launched "Visit Beautiful West Sumatra 2023," a post-pandemic activation program aimed at increasing the number of tourist visits to West Sumatra by implementing events. This study aims to analyze and understand the tourism marketing communication strategy of the West Sumatra Government in promoting the "Visit Beautiful West Sumatra 2023" program to boost tourist visits to West Sumatra. Method: The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The results indicate that the strategy currently employed by the West Sumatra government has been quite successful in promoting tourism events. Result: This success is reflected in the 137 percent increase in tourist visits to West Sumatra during 2023, surpassing the target of 8.2 million visitors. This study concludes that the success of this marketing communication strategy can be measured by the high number of tourists visiting West Sumatra in 2023. Contribution: The marketing communication strategy of the West Sumatra Tourism Province can serve as an example and be applied by provinces, regencies, and cities in Indonesia to increase tourist visits.

Abstract

Purpose: Central Lombok Regency has many tourist attractions spread out, which often makes it difficult for tourists to determine the best travel route to visit several locations at once. Choosing the shortest route is an important factor because it can save time, energy, and fuel costs, especially in tourist trips with unstructured schedules. Therefore, an effective method is needed to determine the shortest route to improve the efficiency of tourist trips. This study analyzes the shortest route to tourist attractions in Central Lombok Regency using two popular graph algorithms, including Dijkstra Algorithm and Bellman-Ford Algorithms Method: In this study, the data used are 6 tourist attractions in Central Lombok Regency. Tourist attractions are represented by points on the graph. Then the edge represents the road connecting the tourist attractions and the weight represents the distance to each tourist attraction from a starting point. Then to determine the minimum shortest distance of each tourist attraction based on the graph, Dijkstra and Bellman-Ford algorithms are used. Result: The shortest path to tourist attractions in Central Lombok Regency is obtained based on the Dijkstra and Bellman-Ford Algorithms. Contribution: Through this analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of the two algorithms in the context of determining tourist routes in Central Lombok can be identified.
