Abstract

Scoping review hepatitis a outbreaks in Indonesia: 1998-2018Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of cases and risk factors of outbreaks of hepatitis A in Indonesia during 1998-2018.  Method: Scoping review conducted on electronic data from journal articles as well as published and unpublished reports (grey literature) from 1998-2018. Online databases such as Google Scholar and Pubmed. Grey literature is obtained from the library and from the unpublished report document results obtained from the University of Indonesia (UI) and University of Gadjah Mada (UGM). In the process of select and data extraction aided by 2 reviewers. Results: Outbreaks of hepatitis A were reported to occur in 47 incidents during 1998-2018 with the outbreak area mostly occurring in East Java, West Java and Central Java. Men are more at risk (63.4%) of hepatitis A than women and 15-34 years is the age most at risk of hepatitis A. The hepatitis A outbreak area is the most at school / campus with proportion (41.5%), cottage boarding schools (31.7%) and in residential or community environments (24.4%) The risk factors that most contribute to outbreaks of hepatitis A at school/campus and in the community are the habit of not washing hands with soap before eating and consuming foods that are not hygienic. While in boarding schools is the use of shared eating/drinking tools. Conclusion: School age and young adults are the age groups most at risk for hepatitis A. Unhygienic individual behavior (not washing hands before eating) is a major contributing factor to the transmission of hepatitis A.

Abstract

Health status with the death of jemaah hajj embarkation Solo: siskohatkes data analysis in 2016-2018Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship of health status, relationship between sex factors, level of education, occupation and distance of accommodation in Saudi Arabia with the death of HOC pilgrims for 2016-2018 Method: A case-control study without matching (unmatching) using secondary data from the Health Hajj Computerized Integrated Health Sector (Siskohatkes) Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The population in this study was the HOC Embarkation pilgrims, when organizing Hajj in 2016-2018. The case group is the hajj pilgrims who died during the 2016-2018 pilgrimage that met the inclusion criteria. The control group is pilgrims who live until the end of the pilgrimage with a case-control ratio of 1: 1. Samples were taken by stratified random sampling method. Bivariable analysis using chi-square test, multivariable analysis using logistic regression test (logistic regression). Results: The health status of haj pilgrims is the most significant variable related to the death of HOC pilgrims Embarkation SOC in 2016-2018, in multivariable analysis, high-risk health status has a value of OR = 7.83 (p-value = 0.001, 95% CI = 2, 99 - 20.49). Other variables also related to the death of the pilgrims are gender (OR = 1.87, p-value = 0.003, 95% CI = 1.24 -2.84), education level (OR = 1.86, p-value = 0.004, 95 % CI = 1.22 - 2.84). Employment variables show protective results against the deaths of pilgrims (OR = 0.63, p-value = 0.039, 95% CI = 0.41 - 0.98). Conclusion: Death of Haj pilgrims Embarkation of SOC in 2016-2018 is related to health status, gender, education level and employment of pilgrims. The development of the health of pilgrims in the waiting period before departure needs to be increased in order to reduce the number of morbidity and mortality of pilgrims during the implementation of the pilgrimage.

Breeding sites and larvae density with malaria cases in PT. Freeport Indonesia, mimika regency in 2013-2017: spatio-temporal approachPurpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between breeding sites and larval density in malaria cases in the Lowland region of PT. Freeport Indonesia Mimika Regency 2013-2017. Method: This study uses secondary data from PT. Freeport Indonesia in 2013 - 2017. The data used in this study included malaria case data, breeding sites and breeding sites and larval density in the lowland PTFI area from 2013-2017. Data analysis included descriptive analysis to see the distribution picture, bivariate analysis to examine the relationship between variables and spatial analysis to find out the distribution of cases and breeding sites. Results: The number of malaria cases from 2013-2017 in the Lowland PTFI region was 267 (37%) from a total population of 713 people. The highest case occurred in 2014 as many as 70 cases. Distribution of cases based on sex occurs mostly in men, in the age group of 46-50 years, based on the relatively equal employment status between employees and non-employees and based on the location, many occur in Kuala Kencana. Types of breeding sites with larvae density have a significant relationship (p <0.0001), larvae density with malaria cases also have a significant relationship (p 0.0013 and r 0.40) especially density in xpool which has a density of 2.01/dip.Conclusion: Distribution of malaria cases focused on locations where employees live and locations with high mobility. The types of breeding sites are related to larval density. The highest density of larvae is found in breeding sites of the xpool type. Larval density and malaria cases have a significant relationship with larvae density in the xpool breeding site.

Abstract

Purpose : Decreasing number of posterior occluding pairs (POP) of teeth in elderly can lead them to reduce food intake and impaired nutritional status through food intake mediation. This study was aimed to assess the relationship between POP of teeth and nutritional status through food intake mediation.Method : This study was a cross-sectional study involving 130 elderly subjects. Sampling was done by multistage stratified cluster random sampling method. The number of POP of teeth was calculated using the Eichner Index and ordinally categorized into 9 subgroup of occlusion (A1-C2). Nutritional status was measured using the body mass index (BMI) and food intake was assessed using body weight discrepancy in the last 3 months. Data were analized using test of Somer’s d, chi square and path analysis. Results : Mean age was 65,7 years old. There were only 23% of elderly who had POP of teeth in 4 zones and 3.8% of them still had complete POP of teeth (A1), indicated that the lost of large number of POP of teeth was experienced by 77% of the elderly. There was a significant correlation between number of POP of teeth and nutritional status mediated by food intake. A positive relationship between number of POP of teeth with food intake (p = 0,002; r = 0,095) proved that food intake was a mediator.  Conclusion : There was a relationship between number of POP of teeth and nutritional status mediated by food intake.
