Abstract

Mathematical communication is the delivery of ideas or ideas that involve physical and mental activities that must be possessed bystudents in solving a problem in mathematics. For this reason, an appropriate learning model is needed, one of which is the Make AMatch cooperative learning model. The main objective of this research is to find out whether there are differences in achievement andimprovement in mathematical communication skills of students who use the Make A Match cooperative learning model with studentswho do not use the Make A Match cooperative learning model. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method. Thedesign used was non-equivalent control group design while the population in this study were all grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4Serang in the 2016/2017 school year. Sampling uses a purposive sampling technique and the instruments used are tests. The resultsshowed that: (1) The final achievement of mathematical communication skills of students who get the Make A Match cooperativelearning model with a scientific approach is better than students who get learning with a scientific approach. (2) Improvement of thefinal achievement of mathematical communication skills of students who get the Make A Match cooperative learning model with ascientific approach is better than students who get learning with a scientific approach.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the ability of students to solve problems in HOTS problems in terms of the ability to thinkcreatively. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 6 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri1 Legok, Tangerang Regency. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, tests and interviews. The results showed that theability of high-level creative thinking can solve HOTS type questions correctly and in detail in each answer, and students of mediumlevelcreative thinking can complete several stages of HOTS type problems but the students' work is not detailed in each answer, whereasstudents Low-level creative thinking skills can solve HOTS type problems, but the solution is wrong and every answer is wrong. Overallfor low ability students still need coaching.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyse the influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model against thestudent’s mathematical reflective thinking skills based on cognitive styles. The results showed that: (1) student’s mathematicalreflective thinking skills learning with the Teams Games Tournament learning model are higher than those using scientificlearning models; (2) Mathematical reflective thinking skills between students who have field independent cognitive style andfollow learning with the Teams Games Tournament learning model is lower than those students who have field dependentcognitive style (3) Mathematical reflective thinking skills between students who have a field independent cognitive style andfollow learning with the Teams Games Tournament learning model higher than the students who follow the learning modelScientific learning; (4) Mathematical reflective thinking skills between students who have a field dependent cognitive styleand follow learning with the Teams Games Tournament learning model higher than the students who follow learning withthe learning model Scientific (5) There is no influence of interaction between learning models with cognitive style to themathematical reflective thinking skills of students

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the learning obstacles of blind students in an inclusive class at one of the high schools inSukabumi City as an inclusive schools. The method used is a qualitative method to analyze the learning difficulties of blind studentsin the inclusive class. The learning material that is focused on is trigonometry material which is quite abstract but quite applicable forall students in mathematics subjects. The analysis was carried out by observing the responses of blind students and other students inthe class simultaneously to the learning given to trigonometric material. The results show that learning obstacles of blind students ininclusive class include abstraction difficulties, inappropriate learning trajectory and lack of basic mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Contextual mathematical questions make it difficult for students to solve, however, the problem is needed to train students' cognitivelevels, furthermore, in contextual matters, students are required to have problem-solving abilities, which are the focus of mathematicslearning by many experts. mathematics education. The design of this study is a mixed method with the Concurrent Embedded Model. The population of this study was all students of XYZ Junior High School Bandung with a sample of class VII students as many astwo classes selected purposively. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative analysis was performedon the initial test data, the final test, and the normalized gain of mathematical problem solving abilities, as well as on the test data ofthe two groups performed a mean difference test between the two populations and two-way ANOVA. Qualitative analysis wasconducted to examine students' attitudes toward learning using cognitive conflict strategies with the PBL approach. The results showedthat increasing the problem solving ability of students who get learning by using the cognitive conflict strategy PBL approach is betterthan students who get conventional learning as measured by the MEA of students, as well as, student attitudes as positive interveningvariables towards learning with conflict learning cognitive PBL approach.

Abstract

The improve of problem solving skills and Self Regulated Learning of high school students through React Strategy (Relating,Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating and Transfering). Mathematics Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program at SultanAgeng Tirtayasa University. 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical problem solving abilities of studentswho obtained mathematics learning with the REACT strategy with students who obtained ordinary learning, improvement ofmathematical problem solving abilities of students who obtained mathematics learning with REACT strategies with students whoobtained regular learning, student Self Regulated Learning who get mathematics learning with REACT strategies with students whoget regular learning, and increase Self Regulated Learning of students who get mathematics learning with REACT strategies wit hstudents who get regular learning. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The results of the study revealed that(1) Mathematical problem solving abilities of students who get mathematics learning with REACT strategies are better than studentswho get ordinary learning, (2) Increased mathematical problem solving abilities of students who get mathematics learning with higherREACT strategies compared to students (3) Self Regulated Learning of students who get mathematics learning with REACTstrategies is better than students who get ordinary learning and, (4) Increased Self Regulated Learning of students who get mathematicslearning with a REACT strategy is higher than students who get mathematics. ordinary learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem solving ability experienced by students so that a relevant learning model is needed to solve the problem, one of them is the Connected Mathematics Project model. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities through the Connected Mathematics Project learning model and how students respond to this learning model. This study was a quasi-experimental study in one of the junior high schools in Bandung district in 2018/2019. The samples in this study were students of class VII A and VII E. The instruments used in this study were tests of mathematical problem solving abilities, student questionnaires and observation sheets. Data obtained from the results of tests of mathematical problem-solving abilities were analyzed quantitatively, while data obtained from questionnaires and observation sheets were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the research conducted showed that increasing the mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the Connected Mathematics Project learning model is better than students who use the Discovery Learning learning model and responds very well to the application of the Connected Mathematics Project model. Empirically it can be seen that the mathematical problem solving ability of students who obtain learning with the Connected Mathematics Project learning model is better than students who obtain learning with the Discovery Learning model and positive student responses.

Abstract

Human progress is increasingly developing due to the increasingly advanced science and technology in the 21st century, also develops aparadigm of human thinking that is increasingly diverse. This also results in increasingly large challenges in the world of educationtoday. Therefore, everything must be prepared relating to education in the 21st century that changes and develops rapidly along with therapid development of Science and technology. The rapid changes that occur in the world of education are expected to not cause us to beuprooted from the cultural roots that we have inherited from time to time. Based on such background, an education based on localwisdom should be developed. Local wisdom, among others, in the form of values, norms, beliefs, natural resources, culture and customs,or rules that support the development of human resources. Local wisdom is integrated into various educational activities both curricular,co-curricular and extra-curricular as well as school or educational institution management. The learning can be done by choosingstrategies, approaches, methods and techniques that are considered suitable for incorporating local wisdom in various forms.
