Abstract

The fire accident experienced by KMP Tranship I on October 2023, when sailing from Merak Harbor, Banten to Bakauheni Harbor, Lampung Lampung left trauma and bad experiences for the crew and passengers, so the fire that occurred must be identified by the crew regarding causes and methods of control. In preventing fires, there is a need for technical instructions or international regulations as a guide. The aim of this research is to know and identify before and after a fire occurs on a ship to minimizecasualties and the risk of increasing the size of the fire by implementing existing rules appropriately and measurably based on the International Safety Management (ISM) Code. The research method carried out was by exploring several sources in the field including the crew of the KMP Tranship I ship, the South Lampung Police Port Sector Unit (KSKP), River, Lake and Ferry Transport (ASDP) and the Fire Brigade (Damkar) team. including field observations regarding fires, and literacy from various books. The results of the research are that by implementing the International Safety Management (ISM) Code standards, continuously and well controlled, the ship's crew will be able to assess the risk (risk assessment) of each ship accident, including ship fires and losses experienced by the ship.

Abstract

This study aimed at developing of teaching maritime English as English for Specific Purpose especially in conducting Maritime English Preparation Test. The purpose of this study is to find out the problems of maritime students’ in learning Maritime English and describe how the product will be developed. It is also intended to investigate how effective of MEPT for improving students’ achievement for learning maritime English. This study is Research and Development (R and D) and It was adapted from Borg and Gall (1983) and Sugiyono (2009) as the basis of conducting this research. There are Problem arise, Need analysis, Design the concept of Maritime English Preparation Test, Preliminary Test, Expert judgment, product revision, field test and final product of Maritime English Preparation Test by using flash application. The type of the test consisted of some of the aspects such as grammar, pronunciation, listening, vocabularies drilling. I used multiple choice tests as the treatment in order to find out the effectiveness of the product toward the students’ achievement. The aspect of the test item has already designed mixed randomly by the computer program. From the result of the research analysis showed that the product was effective to improve students’ score for Maritime English Test.

Abstract

The vortex turbine is a water turbine with a type of reaction turbine that can be used in waterways with very low head. The amount of output power produced by the generator in the MHP system will vary according to the input parameters used, one of which is water discharge. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the output power produced by the generator with different water discharge parameters using artificial waterways in the vortex turbine power plant prototype. In this research, it tries to conduct a research study to optimise the power and efficiency of the vortex turbine flow reaction turbine by varying the blade width and discharge variations on the upper curved cross-section blade type vortex flow reaction turbine at 5 and 8 blades. This study uses independent variables in the form of water discharge of 2.5 l/s, 2.6 l/s, 2.7 l/s, 2.8 l/s, 2.9 l/s, 3.0 l/s using turbine runner blade 5 diameter 100 mm, blade 8 diameter 100 mm, blade 5 diameter 130 mm and blade 8 diameter 130 mm. This research uses experimental research methods. The test results state that the greatest efficiency is produced in the turbine 8 blades of small diameter (100 mm) with a water capacity of 3.0 1/s which is 22.26% with a loading of 5.3 Ncm, at a turbine rotation of 164.89 rpm and produces shaft power of 0.915 W.

Abstract

Risks that often occur in ship shipping can occur due to human error factors, technical factors or natural factors (force majeure factors) and other factors. The large number of accidents or incidents that frequently occur can cause a lot of loss and damage and even loss for the owner of the ship and third parties as owners of the goods. As in the case that occurred at PT. AHAP and PT. PM . PT insurance dispute. AHAP and PT.PM occurred because the ship from PT. Which PM is KM. Bayu Prima experienced a fire.This writing aims to describe the process of resolving disputes over Indonesian ship insurance agreements using English law in the Indonesian Courts and to find out the obstacles faced by Indonesian Courts in resolving insurance disputes whose insurance agreements use English law. The method used is the Normative Juridical research type. This type of Normative Juridical research aims to examine statutory regulations related to theoretical concepts. Settlement of disputes over Indonesian Ship InsuranceAgreements Using English Law in Indonesian Courts is very difficult to use because insurance policies use English law, so Indonesian courts do not have the right to decide on sanctions based on the insurance policy in force. The obstacle faced by Indonesian courts in resolving insurance disputes where the insurance agreement uses English law is the use of insurance policy agreements that use English law. Withthe insurance policy agreement using English law, the Indonesian Court does not have full authority to decide disputes, thereby causing harm to PT. AHAP who cannot claim applicable damages.

Abstract

WPS has several parameters that determine heat input. This research was conducted to determine the welding results when the heat input used exceeds the value specified in the WPS used in the field. The research was carried out on 3 samples that have the same dimensions, namely 2" diameter with a thickness of 5.54 mm. The research method used was quantitative experimental. The weld results are checked visuallythen continued with the NDT process in the form of RT. At each increase in heat input, there is a distortion of 4 mm and 1 number of RT weld defects in the heat input more than 10% WPS, distortion of 6 mm and 2 number of weld defects in the heat input more than 20% WPS, distortion 8 mm and 3 number of weld defects in the heat input more than 30 % WPS. The T test results show that overheating influences the occurance of distortion and RT results in GTAW welding. From the research results, it can be concluded that the higher the heat input used in the GTAW welding process for Inconel UNS N06625 material, the higher the distortion and number of weld defects in the welding results.

Abstract

Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB) adalah salah satu pusat pertumbuhan ekonomi baru yang strategis. Namun, kawasan tersebut belum ada pembangunan gedung pengelolaan yang berfungsi untuk kantor pengelola (KITB). Sehingga, BUMN akan membangun Gedung Kantor Pengelola Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang. Jenis struktur yang akan direncanakan menggunakan struktur beton bertulang yang tentunya berpanduan serta mengacu pada Standar Nasional Indonesia yang terbaru, yaitu SNI 2847-2019, SNI 1726-2019, SNI 1727-2020 dan SNI 2052-2017. Perencanaan dimulai dengan menentukan sistem struktur, merencanakan struktur atap, preliminary desain, perhitungan beban, memodelkan struktur dan analisis momen, perhitungan penulangan, merencanakan struktur bawa dan dilanjut merencanakan anggaran biaya (RAB) dan Time Schedule.Hasil dari pembahasan yaitu sebuah perencanaan struktur Gedung dengan spesifikasi diantaranya adalah Gedung dengan sistem rangka pemikul momen khusus (SRPMK), struktur atap baja (Baja profil / IWF), B-1 (850 x 550 mm), B-2 (700 x 500 mm), B-T (350 x 250 mm), BC-1 (500 x 350 mm), BA-1 (650 x 350 mm), BA-2 (500 x 250 mm), BA-3 (400 x 200 mm), K-1 (850 x 850 mm), K-2 (750 x 750 mm), K-L (400 x 400 mm), Dinding geser (Tebal 400 mm) dengan struktur bawah menggunakan pondasi dalam dengan menggunakan bored pile P-1 (D = 550 mm, Depth = 14,60 m), P-2 (D = 300 mm, Depth = 6,40 m) dan perencanaan anggaran biaya (RAB) serta Time Schedule.

Abstract

Sea transportation is currently developing very rapidly, ships as a means of sea transportation play an important role in smooth, safe and appropriate transportation Ships carrying liquid cargo are generally referred to as tankers, several types of tanker cargo are premium, diesel, Pertamax, aftermarket kerosene, fuel oil, gas oil. For this reason, handling cargo on tankers really requires expertise, accuracy and good cooperation from the entire ship's crew. Method is descriptive and qualitative, researcher use observation, interview as well documentation (triangulation) in data collection. Researcher collect data at once test data validity with do interview with sources, method This used for analyze causative factors can’t be optimal security payload containers The results of this research are the implementation of MT CrownFortune Bunker in Singapore waters which aims to avoid incidents during the implementation of Bunker in Singapore waters. The implementation of Bunker on the MT Crown Fortune ship has several obstacles, including a lack of understanding by the crew regarding the procedures for carrying out Bunker, a lack of coordination between crew members before the Bunker begins, a lack of communication between the crew members of the MT Crown Fortune and the crew members of the ship that is being bunkered. Handling incident prevention during Bunker is by familiarizing yourself with Bunker procedures and holding a safety meeting before carrying out Bunker.

Abstract

Pembangunan Dermaga merupakan sarana dan prasarana infrastruktur pendukung untuk pengembangan wilayah yang dapat mendukung kelancaran frekuensi perdagangan. Dalam pembangunan ini memerlukan alat bantu seperti alat berat excavator dan mesin sedot pasir. Kedua alat berat ini memiliki fungsi yang berirama yaitu pengerukan pasir di sekitar area dermaga, oleh sebab itu alat berat tersebut harus memiliki daya apung agar dapat berfungsi dengan maksimal. Salah satu alat apung yang dapat menopang kedua alat berat tersebut adalah kapal ponton. Kapal ponton ini akan dirancang sesuai permintaan owner requirement dengan mencari ukuran utama kapal menggunakan metode trial and error dengan hasil panjang keseluruhan (LOA) 10,1 meter, lebar (B) 6,6 meter, tinggi (H) 2,0 meter, sarat air (T) 1,0 meter. Kapal ponton ini direncanakan terbagi menjadi 9 segmen terpisah yang terdiri dari 6 segmen berukuran persegi dan 3 segmen berukuran persegi panjang, segmen tersebut akan di gabungkan menggunakan mur dan baut untuk menjadi satu kesatuan. Dimana untuk pengoperassian alat berat excavator membutuhkan 9 segmen sedangkan pengoperasian mesin sedot pasir hanya membutuhkan 4 segmen persegi. Sehingga kedua fungsi tersebut tidak dapat digunakan dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Perencanaan model ponton ini menggunakan Maxsurf Modeller yang dapat menghasilkan data karakteristik dan menghasilkan displacement yang mampu memuat berat konstruksi dan Excavator PC200. Perhitungan konstruksi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan nilai berat ponton dengan hasil total berat 21.293 ton sebagai data penunjang yakni perhitungan stabilitas menggunakan Maxsurf Stability. Analisa stabilitas menggunakan peraturan International Maritime Organization (IMO) dengan kriteria A.749 (18) dengan hasil kriteria terpenuhi secara regulasi. Dari hasil perhitungan kebutuhan material kapal ponton ini dapat di estimasikan biaya produksi mencapai Rp Rp. 468.973.600

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that cause damage to the XYZ Port dock on March 10, 2024 due to ship maneuvering decisions in extreme weather. The method used is qualitative with fishbone analysis technique, this analysis leads to an in-depth understanding of the factors that are interrelated and trigger accidents. The results of the analysis showed that the main causal factor was the captain's decision, the limitations of the navigation system and the lack of coordination were the main factors that contributedto this incident. The impact of the quay damage was material loss and disruption of port operations. The XYZ Port dock accident is an important reminder for all relevant parties to increase focus on the safety aspects of shipping. By understanding the causal factors and implementing effective preventive measures, it is hoped that similar accidents can be avoided and the safety of all parties involved in maritime activities can be guaranteed.

Abstract

Very corrosive and damaging sea conditions cause the hulls of sailing ships to easily corrode or become damaged, especially the lower hulls of ships which are in direct contact with sea water on a continuous basis. Therefore, maintenance and painting must be carried out to avoid work accidents on ships because it is possible that rusting can cause the ship's hull plates to become brittle. To minimize the occurrence of these things, it is necessary to carry out routine maintenance. One method used to maintain/improve the condition of the ship, especially the parts of the ship's hull that are affected by corrosion, is to use the sandblasting method to create a profile on the metal surface of the ship's hull or other parts. Sanblasting is also the first step in carrying out ship maintenance so that when painting or coating the paint it can stick better and make the repair results more optimal and of better quality.
